Kaito was about to respond when Heather attacks again-- this time with the cushion of his couch.

The magician lets out a yelp as the soft-but-heavy cushion collides with his 'shield' and pushes him off of the couch and onto the floor. It's in the process of his fall that he finally seems to notice, through the darkness, that Heather is not wearing gloves; rather, her hands are bandaged heavily.
"What--" thunk as he lands on the ground and quickly scrambles upright, peering up at Heather as he rests his elbows on the couch, "-- happened to your hands?"
