Who: Open to those Breaking In and Breaking Out
Where: Team Rocket HQ, Mahogany Town
When: This weekend
Summary: There's mayhem at the base... but it's time to right some wrongs and cause some trouble! Plot Post, for reference. (If you have any questions, go ahead and ask them there as well.)
Rating: not rated
Log:

Finally. There's the door, the base, the little shop. The small couple running it seem to be going about their daily activities, alternating duties. The Pidgeys are singing, the Lake of Rage is still filled with rage. It's just another typical day in Mahogany town, right?

Wrong.

Little do the Rockets know, but their base is the next stop for a bunch of troublesome trainers. After all, some people are on a mission!

So go forth, you sneaks! Your mission: Get in, get out, don't get caught.

[From all the info dumping her sisters had given her and the three failed attempts of rescue, she had figured out where the base was located by now. Her Lapras was beside her and had pretty much frozen this most of the place into an ice cavern with icicles dangling from some market shelves.

She was going to go all out today. No mercy.
]

It was over there somewhere. It's probably a hidden entrance. [She makes her way to the corner of the market and taps her foot as if she's trying to find some hollow sound.]

[Keiichi walks out from right behind Mammon's Lapras and sighs overdramatically sfter having his redden face grind on ice for GOD KNOW HOW LONG. Well, it wouldn't hurt to make a joke in this serious situation, right?]

Haah... Stay frosty everyone. Talk about overkill, Mammon-san....

combat_butler: (Ojou-sama fell down a well?!)

*SIGH, this is so ridiculous. Hayate is trailing in last with a sour look on his face and Yurei floating in behind him.*

--I really hope you're planning to be a bit more subtle when we get inside. I'd prefer it if we didn't have to fight our way in.

*ANOTHER SIGH. As Hayate goes over near where Mammon is stomping around to look for the usual generic hidden switches to activate a hidden entrance.*

[identity profile] wantnotneed.livejournal.com 2011-02-12 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
You don't fight frozen ice blocks. It makes it easier for you. [But she cuts their conversation short to look for some kind of switch that would activate the entrance.]

... It was around here somewhere. Maybe a trapdoor?

[identity profile] youhavemybat.livejournal.com 2011-02-12 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
Oi, oi. Maybe we're getting a little too frosty here, haha... [Keiichi casually walks over to both of them as if this is another penalty game he's going through at home.]

Mammon-san... If we're looking for a hidden base, I think they're going to be a lot more clever than hiding their switches on the floor. If we want to break in, we have to think more like villians.
combat_butler: (Now this is just sad.)

[personal profile] combat_butler 2011-02-12 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
And you can't use frozen Rocket's as an information source as to where the prisoners are.

*mumble mumble, sliding a hand along a shelf and brushing off frost as he looks for anything suspicious he can pull or twist.* Exactly. If you could just force your way in, you wouldn't need us.

[identity profile] wantnotneed.livejournal.com 2011-02-12 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
[She looks the other way with a slight visible scowl on her face. She doesn't say anything and looks around the store for some clues.]

[identity profile] youhavemybat.livejournal.com 2011-02-12 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
[Meanwhile, Keiichi is checking out another one of the shelves as he's mumbling himself...Didn't he see this situation out of a manga when he was younger? How did the heroes manage to break in?]

... The device needs to be hidden, yet obvious at the same time... [Could the device be in one of these books? Well then, he'll pull out one of the books and start flipping through pages to see if there's a hidden button.]

combat_butler: (God I hate tigers.)

[personal profile] combat_butler 2011-02-12 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
*Hayate is just quietly half-pulling out a book here and there, going the 'haunted mansion' route instead of the more high-tech switch inside the book route Keiichi is taking. Also he may have just accidentally broke a lamp as he tried to twist it :|a* ... glad I don't have to pay for that.

[identity profile] wantnotneed.livejournal.com 2011-02-12 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
[As soon as Mammon was done searching the other places of the shop, she went to the bookcase where the boys were. Some of those books seemed interesting! She might even take one back when she goes back to her everyday life.

-- "Hail" what?

To get a closer look at the book, she pulls out the book "Hail Giovanni", looks at the spine and cover and then flips through some pages-

One of the stock shelves starts moving and then it completely disappears from the view.
]

... Oh.

[identity profile] youhavemybat.livejournal.com 2011-02-12 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
[Keiichi looks up to hear the loud noise and watches as the stock shelf moves away to disappear, then he looks over to Mammon holding the book in her hand. Finally, he leans over to whisper to Hayate.]

... Oi, Hayate... Do you think she was playing dumb with us all of this time?
Edited 2011-02-12 02:26 (UTC)
combat_butler: (It evolves into what now.)

[personal profile] combat_butler 2011-02-12 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
*Hayate is turning to see the big reveal, giving a flat look to Mammon and the casual manner in which she removed the book. And as Keiichi leans over to whisper to him, he promptly lowers his voice to do the same.*

I wouldn't be surprised... It is the kind of thing she would do...

[identity profile] wantnotneed.livejournal.com 2011-02-12 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
I don't have time to play dumb with you guys when I'm trying to save my sisters and Sakutaro.

[She didn't even look at them and plucked two more books that seemed of interest to her and shoved them in her hammerspace of a bag. Then she continued to walking down the stairs and returned her Lapras in the pokeball because well, she can't move on land. But it's kinda dark in here, so she lets out her Ampharos to light the environment a bit.]

[identity profile] youhavemybat.livejournal.com 2011-02-12 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
... [He clears his throat awkwardly.] Just keep your cool, Mammon-san.

[Keiichi decides to release his Golduck before starting following her down the stairs. It wouldn't hurt to have another Pokemon by their sides in case they were ambushed, after all. He decides to throw his arms behind his back while walking along.]

... So should we play a word game if this staircase turns out to be a really long walk?
combat_butler: (If I just approach this like a Newtype..)

[personal profile] combat_butler 2011-02-12 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
*Hayate is giving an idle glance to the title of the book Mammon pulled out to open the place up, before following along behind them, his Banette letting out a tiny ghostly giggle as she falls in line next to him.*

Yet again, I'm asking that you save wrecking the place and everyone you see until we know for certain where the prisoners are.

*and he's just quirking a brow at Keiichi's suggestion.* ... it can't take that long to get down there.

[identity profile] wantnotneed.livejournal.com 2011-02-12 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah.

[She walks up to the huge steel door and glances over to the digital lock. She tries her best to keep the low profile in mind, so obviously, the boys might object to busting the door open... or at least an attempt to. Whatever. That was definitely thrown out. So she keeps quiet, staring at the keyboard.]

[identity profile] youhavemybat.livejournal.com 2011-02-12 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
[Keiichi approaches the door and looks it over...]

Even if we wanted to break the door down, it would probably take us a while. Even the most powerful Pokemon attacks wouldn't break through who knows how many layers of iron.

... [Then he looks over to the keyboard.] That word game option is still open, you know. I'll be the first to say that "Rocket56" isn't the password.
combat_butler: (Let me just think about that one--)

[personal profile] combat_butler 2011-02-12 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, even if you use the cliched 'heat it up to high temperatures, cool it down, then smash through' who knows how long that would take... Not to mention there's not enough room for Hina in this passage...

*peering over Keiichi's shoulder at the keyboard.* If there are any numbers at all involved, we're going to be in a lot of trouble. *looking at the input thing, before glancing to Mammon.* Did you hear of any important names or places from your sisters regarding being a Rocket? That's usually the kind of thing they use for stuff like this...

[identity profile] watersbound.livejournal.com 2011-02-12 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
[Pay no attention to the group of trainers peeking into the window of that little shop. They're definitely not up to anything suspicious.]

This has to be the place.

[identity profile] freshbreeze.livejournal.com 2011-02-12 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
[Beside her, Ven's up on his tip-toes to get a peek at the inside of the shop. Back window's set awfully high...]

Whoa, how'd those stairs pop up?

[identity profile] restardom.livejournal.com 2011-02-12 06:04 am (UTC)(link)
[ beside HIM, Rise's... straining on the very tips of her toes to see. ]

I knew it, this had "suspicious" written all over it! D'you think it's safe to go in yet?

[identity profile] landbreaker.livejournal.com 2011-02-12 07:06 am (UTC)(link)
[And beside all of them, Terra towers over them, doing his best to be as inconspicuous as possible.]

Maybe we should watch and make sure first. Don't know what's waiting for us down there.

[identity profile] watersbound.livejournal.com 2011-02-12 07:15 am (UTC)(link)
[Nods, thoughtfully.]

Right... But the longer we stay out here, the more likely it is someone will spot us.

[identity profile] freshbreeze.livejournal.com 2011-02-12 07:19 am (UTC)(link)
[Brings a hand to his chin, mulling this over]

Maybe we should just go in. As long as those Rocket-guys aren't around, it should be okay...

[identity profile] restardom.livejournal.com 2011-02-12 07:23 am (UTC)(link)
It's further in we've got to worry about, anyway. There's nothing wrong with just walking into a shop, right?
