Whether you're a tournament participant who's on break between battles, or just someone who'd made it all the way out to Kanto just to watch, there's something for everyone. Vermilion City is bustling with energy and excitement over these few weeks. Shops have been set up, selling all sorts of interesting looking merchandise, and the stadiums are brightly lit, even when there are no battles going on.

I really need to train a better set of Pokemon, but there isn't any opportunity to do that here, given all the restrictions.

That will hardly do you any good at this exact moment besides. As shameful as you may have found what happened, there's nothing to be done now outside of take the defeat as gracefully as you can - I hardly see the sense in sacrificing your dignity on top of everything else.

...well, given how much importance this place places on Pokemon battles, I don't doubt there will be another tournament sometime in the future. I'm quite certain that, by that point, I won't have to worry about things coming down to bad luck.

I already happen to have some Pokemon in the wings that I think may be suitable-I simply need to spend enough time training them to see if they're worth using or not. Along with the Pokemon I'm currently training and several other Pokemon I've caught recently, I captured a fairly wide variety of Ghost Pokemon during that week when they were extremely common, so I'll be checking into those in the near future.

Well, after all this time we've been traveling together it doesn't seem as though he's going to stop doing it. It's simply a bizarre habit I've had to get used to.

I'm merely preparing for the worst-case scenario-that I'm here for a year or more. Given that there are people who have been here for over two years, it's not exactly a possibility that I can't discount.

Granted, your Pokemon aren't as high-leveled as mine due to your departure, so I suppose that was to be expected. I can only hope that if either of us leaves this place, we leave permanently rather than returning after about thirty seconds spent in our world.
