anything between the 5th and the 22nd is fine!
When he isn't
figuratively clinging to Kayneth for dear lifeout in particularly busy areas as required for the tournament itself, he's actually spectacularly good at finding coffee shops in out-of-the-way locations - charming spots, if not particularly classy, with tea that actually isn't terrible, much to his fairly pleasant surprise. He's perhaps a bit jumpy due to the massive amount of unfamiliarity to this place, but in general, he's open for conversation.Or, you know, colliding with him in general is always good, given that he has to leave the relative security of those out-of-the-way places eventually. Man really needs to learn how to socialize.]

besides awesome goatees, it's their inability to stand crowds for any length of time.Logan came here with Kimblee, but it's a bit much to constantly follow the man around. He's spent some time exploring Vermillion on his own, but the sheer amount of people have easily overwhelmed him. He's not used to mingling among his people - it was never something he did, even before the whole mess with the Crawler - so crowds really aren't this favorite thing. That explains what he's doing in one of those out of the way coffee shops, examining the menu curiously.
He finally orders (tea, it's familiar and reminds him of Albion so of course he'd choose it) and once he's received the teacup he has that startling realization that there's nowhere left to sit. Lovely. His luck, ladies and gentlemen.
Ah, but it seems there is a table in the back with a free chair. He'll just have to intrude on another man's privacy, but no big deal!]
Is this seat taken?
no subject
It's not like he's using it, however, so!]
Ah - no, it isn't. Feel free.
[.......what did he just do]

I take it you're in town for the tournament? Are you competing?
[Might as well make small talk!]
no subject
At least you seem well-bred, whomever you are, and at least you're polite - or, well, as polite as one can be while they quite simply park it at an already occupied table, but given the crowds, he...supposes you can't be blamed...
orz]
I am, though I haven't entered. Some of my...companions, I suppose, are competing, however; they've been here far longer than I have. Yourself?
no subject
[Mostly because his Pokémon didn't decide to evolve until recently... Thanks Garnet, he appreciates it.]
A friend of mine invited me to come watch him compete. He's done well so far, so I'm quite pleased.
Ah, my apologies; I am Logan, the King of Albion. It's a pleasure to meet you.

Tokiomi Tohsaka; as the head of the Tohsaka family of Fuyuki City, the pleasure is mine, Your Majesty.
Who is this friend of yours, if I may?
no subject
[And he's quite interesting, despite what Reaver claims!]

Particularly now that he'd lost. To a teenage girl.
...really, isn't the dark-haired guy in the red suit supposed to be the one drinking tea staring gloomily out the window...? well, that's Kayneth's job today.
Though, at least Tokiomi happened to have better taste in tea than in wine.]
...It's decent, I suppose.
no subject
You're hardly going to find much better here, unfortunately.
[...you're going to be moping for approximately the rest of the year, aren't you.]
no subject
[...he definitely is...]
I'd just be disappointed if I expected anything better.

You can relax a bit, you know.

[GLOOMY. TEA. SIPPING.]
I really need to train a better set of Pokemon, but there isn't any opportunity to do that here, given all the restrictions.

...but yes, it won't do him much good to sit around complaining about it, as much as he wants to.]
...well, given how much importance this place places on Pokemon battles, I don't doubt there will be another tournament sometime in the future. I'm quite certain that, by that point, I won't have to worry about things coming down to bad luck.

long overdue this was long overdue
all of these little facts were seperated from him still. so imagine his
E-Rankluck when Archer, dressed casually enough, would wind up in the same coffee shop that was more or less out of the way of high levels of traffic. Saber could use the time to prepare and focus during the day, while he would go back at the day's end and watch her matches on the days she was competing. though having never met face to face with Tokiomi, the white-haired Servant had no clue, as he took a sip of his tea and mused to himself, that he was in the same room as the father of his ally(?) in the Holy Grail War]You're almost there, Saber.
haha, indeed! and my apologies for slowness, IRL commitments made tagging a hot mess for a while
...sir, you are talking to yourself, why are you talking to yourself that's almost depressing]
Saber...? An acquaintance of one of them?
[...no, really, he is socially stupid and he can acknowledge that that's almost depressing.]

The one who belongs to Rome, if you've ever met her. She's progressed pretty far in the tournament so far. Though I shouldn't be so surprised.

It's as he's wandering through the streets of Vermillion that Armstrong spots a flash of red buried in one of the cafes. Oho! He would recognize that suit anywhere! Pushing his way into the cafe (with some degree of difficulty; it's hard being 7'3''), Armstrong gave Tokiomi a cheery wave.]]
Mr Tokiomi!
no subject
Tokiomi never really is entirely certain what to...do with Armstrong, nor will he ever understand the man's downright uncanny ability to locate people, but he can't say that he can exactly complain about it, either - the man is pleasant enough company, and after the tournament rounds, he supposes that it would only be right to offer some acknowledgement of the results.
Besides, being out in public like this...hopefully means the shirt will stay on?
...Please???]
Major Armstrong.
[Just. Gesturing at one of those chairs; do sit.]
Congratulations on your victories today; the battles were rather impressive.
no subject
Thank you, Mr Tokiomi; I was very lucky to escape with them.
[[Fortunately, the fact that they were in a crowded and cramped public place meant that Armstrong was inclined to leave his shirt where it was; it simply wouldn't do to overwhelm so many people at once! Besides, he still wasn't quite sure if Tokiomi would be able to handle the force of the beauty. He still struck Armstrong as rather shy, but quite pleasant.]]
Have you been observing any of the other battles? I believe our dear friend Kayneth ran into a spot of trouble.

Ah, I....see. I'm afraid I'm yet to run into him, but I'll keep that in mind; at least it was a hard-fought bout!

...it's hardly my place to criticize, but you know how Lord El-Melloi is by now, I'm sure...

I take it losing to a...young woman isn't quite what he had planned.
