Summary: The AvengerBros and Imogen arrive in Olivine and plan to stick around a while, and stay with Danny.
Rating: PG to be safe, but if it goes beyond that, it will be noted.
Log:
Olivine is full of food and wine and good times, it's a lovely city right on the water. It's considered a romantic city, probably because of the good date spots, wine, and the water.

Have at it guys, put up some threads, have people reply, and good times! Only planned things happening during their time here is Danny meetIng the superheroes, otherwise the freedom is yours.

[Oh dear. He sees a rather familiar face over there while he's on his usual beach session with his Feebas, Swampert and one of his Blastoise. He doesn't have proper covering for his arms, and he's still not comfortable with the possibility of people seeing his scars. But it'd be rude not to greet an acquaintance.

Hopefully they wont be too obvious.]

Steve Rogers.

[He tucks the little grey fish back into his ball, but the two adults amble along behind Hope.

... Gosh (and he's going to blame Ven for that word if he realizes he's thinking it), this man is even bigger in person.

[Steve is just observing his surroundings, his Lucario by his side doing the same and his Eevee happily trying to sing from where she's draped over his shoulder, but mostly she's just making high pitched pleased noises with some melody. He looks over at the mention of his name and is pleasantly surprised to see Hope, it had somehow escaped his notice that the man would be in Olivine. He smiles as he makes his way to meet him]

Hope, it's a pleasure to meet you in person.

[His Lucario follows, observing the two large Pokemon with devoted attention, ultimately trying to size them up. His Eevee keeps "singing" unaware, at the moment, of new Pokemon or people]

It's the same for me.

[He offers his hand for a shake-- he's okay enough with that, considering the most he has there are a few callouses and burn scars. And he can explain them away without worries.

Meanwhile, the Swampert and Blastoise are eying that Lucario up-- and even bickering between themselves over who looks better, Steve's or Hope's. Well, mostly the Blastoise, and he gets walloped by the Swampert upside the head because well. They're mates. Hope just gives them A Look.]

[Steve shakes his hand, taking quick note of the scars, but Steve's been in war, scars don't phase him unless they are particularly gruesome or unique]

Do you live around here?

[Steve notices the Pokemon talking and the one hitting the other, he's unsure of what's going on, but it's interesting.

The Lucario is a bit uncomfortable now, moving closer to Steve while his Eevee stops singing and sits up in his shoulder to look at the strange new blue Pokemon, the Lucario makes sure to tell the Eevee to stay put]

Only temporarily. [Grabs his Swampert's arm just so the two can stop squabbling.] My companion and I expect to leave in a few days, in fact.

[Waggles the fingers of his free hand at Amber-- he remembers you, kid.]

Then it's lucky we ran into each other. [he can't help his amused smile at how Hope deals with his Pokemon, he can tell that he has a lot of practice at this.

Amber absolutely beams at the attention, merping and pawing in Hope's direction] My friends and I are staying here for a short while, I need to earn some money.

Well, the usual jobs are there, but there are also special jobs found only at the lighthouse and the farm just outside the city.

I cant tell you what exactly they require though, considering I've been mostly living on my gym winnings and other savings for the past few months.

Lighthouse huh? I'll look into it, I was figuring on working at the Pokecenter, but a lighthouse sounds interesting.

It's been a while since I last worked a normal job, so it'll be interesting.

[eagletalons]

Jobs at a lighthouse is considered normal for you, then? [Just a hint of teasing, but he's genuinely curious. Cultures and whatnot from other worlds have always been a point of interest.]

[starspangledavenger]

[chuckles] Not really. Back home it's a job that someone takes on and has for most of their life, usually they live there or by it.

[eagletalons]

So it's a life-time commitment then? [He can see that happening.]

It must be interesting to you that that kind of work over here is only part-time.

[starspangledavenger]

Yeah, it's not something I ever considered for my future, but hey, if I can work there for a short while, that would be swell.

Where are you off to next?

[eagletalons]

You'll enjoy being with Amphy if you choose one particular job. [Hope's only preference in jobs is being able to interact with Pokémon, after all.]

Right now, I'm not sure where we're going, but I may suggest Kanto, because we have been all over Johto at this point.

Well, working that job sounds fun, and I look forward to meeting Amphy, that's for sure.

I'm still exploring Johto myself, but Kanto sounds interesting from what I hear from some people I know over there. Have you been there yet or a new adventure?

Kanto will be new to me, definitely. [There's a long story, but he would rather not tell it now.] A few friends of mine currently live there, but considering my companion had been in Johto when I arrived, I stayed here.

Better reason than me. I just didn't want to spend that much money for the ferry when I didn't have much to start with. [grins sheepishly at that, as if it's something to be incrementally embarrassed about]

I can understand wanting to save your money for a rainy day.

[He understands more than he's saying-- he used to be a rich boy after all.] It will be far cheaper than the train though. I may just suggest it when we do decide to go there.

[Steve is glad he's not dealing with someone who would think him as cheap. He grew up in a time when a dollar was powerful and economics poor, he's not used to how willy nilly people are about money, so he sees saving money as practical]

There's a train? I didn't know that, where's it blow through?

[eagletalons]

['Blow through'? Strange phrasing, even if Hope figures out what exactly Steve means.] It goes from Goldenrod to Saffron, and I hear it's a luxury one at that.

I suppose it can tell you about just how expensive it is.

[Last time he'd gotten on a train, people died. He'll pass on that one.]

[funny that, last time Steve was on a legit train his best friend died. He's still deciding how he feels about them]

Huh. Yeah, not sure if I'm big on riding trains these days, but ferry sounds nice and scenic.

Same here. There's something less rushed about being on a boat. [Well, at least there's someone who shares his discomfort with trains.

He points towards the docks.] There's a ferry here if you want to experience one. It bounces between just Olivine and Cianwood though, but you can see the Whirl Islands if you're looking for them.

[starspangledavenger]

[looks where Hope points and nods] I'll give it a go, kind of curious about Cianwood. [gives him a smile] There is something nice about boat rides, especially to relax and draw the scenery.

[eagletalons]

You draw? [Hope's not an art man, but it's not like he doesn't give artists their due. Especially when architects and engineers can only do so much for a project's design.]

I do. Before my life turned upside down, then flipped again, then ended up here, I went to school for art.

[eagletalons]

[His line actually makes it sound like there's a story there, a long and convoluted one at that, but he's not going to pry right now. Otherwise, Hope would have to offer his own long and convoluted story to keep things even between them, and that's something he'd rather not share.]

Education. I see.

I've always been more accomplished in the technical fields-- I don't have even a bit of artistry.
