[[This little girl is having an absolute blast. She's tiny as hell, can't be older five or so, and is running around with her Pokemon. She's chasing a Skitty as a Gardevoir and Ursaring chase after her, both obviously worried for her safety. A Rotom buzzes around excitedly as his little master squeals with laughter and a Rapidash watches them all from nearby, keeping an eye out for any threats to the small girl. She's apparently not worried about where her parents are at all right now. All she cares about is --]]

[This cannot possibly get anymore precious and John is kind of rooted to the spot, completely unable to deal with how adorable baby Rose is. Pheobe the shiny Whimsicott hangs off his shoulder while Chandel the Lampent floats next to his head and Casey the Lopunny... bolts over to go scoop Rose up and cuddle the everloving daylights out of her.]

[[And the little girl squeals even more, delighted by the sudden attention.]]

[Casey chitters happily, nuzzling Rose's cheek with her own and pressing a few "bunny kisses" there as well.]

[John laughs and moves over to come sit across from the two, poking at Rose's nose once he's settled in the grass.]

And what are you doing out here all alone, hm? Looking for trouble?

[[The Skitty and Rotom are the only Pokemon who aren't watching John cautiously, obviously still a little unsure about if he's safe for their little master to be around. The Gardevoir, in fact, is standing near the Buneary, fretting over the two of them slightly.

Rose gives no fucks that these two are strangers.]]

I wath playing with my kitty! [[She points to the Skitty, who purrs and rolls around in a patch of grass.]]

Oh you were, were you? And what's your kitty's name?

[If the Gardevoir were to attempt to look into either of their minds, she might be able to put herself at ease somewhat. Not only are these two friendly, but the human boy will eventually become the lover of her master and the Lopunny, a Pokémon daughter.]

[Or, if she would prefer to talk to Casey, the bunny would be more than happy to explain! ...once she's done cuddling and fussing over Rose. She wants to restyle the little girl's hair right now, apparently.]

[[She is trying to get an answer out of the Lopunny, and then looks at John questioningly.]]

Jaspers, huh? That's a very nice-- hm? [He glances up at the Gardevoir and smiles.] It's okay, I'm not going to hurt her or do anything weird. I am a friend from the future! That's all. [He taps the side of his head.] You can psychoprobe my brain if you want, I have nothing to hide!

[He turns his attention back to Rose. Fuck...why is she so adorable? He's pretty sure all his teeth have cavities AND he just gut diabetes at the same time.]

It's a very nice name, as I was saying. What about you, what's your name princess?

[He may or may not be attempting to get her to say more words that have s's in them. Because he's a dick and thinks the lisp is cute. How come Rose never mentioned this?]

Uh huh! Jutht like my kitty at home! [[Hey Casey, want some baby kisses? Because you're getting some while he talks to her Gardevoir! Who...does the psychoprobing as asked.]]

[True to John's word, the psychoprobing reveals nothing really out of the ordinary. As he claimed, he's a very good friend from the future.]

[[She seems to relax, chatting to the Ursaring and Rapidash nearby that they're safe.]]

[[She points to the Gardevoir first, Ursaring, Rotom and Rapidash after that.]]

[Nicki the Leafeon bounds into the area and skids to a stop at the scenery around her. The pokemon are unfamiliar but the little girl is not. She sits and there's a sound behind her as Dave enters the area, soundless and light footed. He stops at the sight of his sister so small.

When he was that little...

It only takes a moment to remember learning how to work turn tables and using a sword. The heavy weight of it not yet a simple extension of his will.

He kneels down, settling by Nicki and nodding to Rose.] Hey. Got lost?

[[She stops, turning to look at the person who spoke to her.]]

I'm playing with my kitty! [[And then she spots the Leafeon and giggles, running over to hug it. Following after her is the Gardevoir and Ursaring, both regarding Dave warily.]]

It's a good kitty. [He smiles just a little, parking it on the ground completely. Nicki lets Rose hug her and wraps her leaf tail over her back.

If Gardenvoir prods Dave's mind they'll find he's related and he's been through some heavy shit. And he won't let anything harm his sister while he's around to prevent it.]

[[That poor Gardevoir relaxes, sitting down. Seems little Rose has run her ragged. The Ursaring glances at her and follows suit, plopping down as well. And when he does, Rose glances back at the loud thud and giggles. She kisses the Leafeon and runs over, starting to climb onto the bear who sits there and helps how he can.]]

I love my kitty he'th really pretty. And he'th really fun! Hith name ith Jathperth. [[She's apparently just going to ramble as she continues her bear climbing adventure.]] He liketh have hith fur brushed. Doeth your kitty have a name mithter? Who are you mithter? I'm Rothe.

She's Nicki. Pretty awesome little gal. She likes being scratched under her ears.

[He settles, debating what to tell her. Eh, she's a little kid. It would be confusing to her if he dumped their ecto-relation on her.] I'm Dave. Not a mister, just a bro. Mister is my older brother. If you see a guy in pointy eyewear and a cap, call him Mister Bro.
