Well, draw some intersecting lines and call me a Triforce, this sure is an island, all right.

KEY:

• The GLOWING X at the upper portion of the island is where you will find Mewssingno! It won't be moving around much, so it will always be in the relative top section of the island, furthest from the safe haven for participants in the south. Exercise caution getting close to it, because...

• The PURPLE area surrounding Mewssingno is all area that will be affected by glitches! Inside that area, strange environmental things are likely to occur, such as attacks being deflected, neutralized, or outright disappearing and reappearing somewhere else, as if passing through a very small wormhole in space! You may play around with these effects as much as you like, but they should be contained to this particular area, and remember to ask permission from other players before randomly diverting a Hyper Beam through a wormhole directly at them in tags.

• STANDARD GRASSY areas in the lower part of the map are places in which characters are guaranteed to be safe from Mewssingno's glitches; however, these areas will be overrun by Fusion Abominations, so if you're just here for the garden-variety fighting of SquirtWeedMagneZards, this is probably where you'll be spending a lot of your time!

• The BLUE STAR in the south indicates a guaranteed safe zone from both Mewssingno and the Fusion Abominations. This is the station where a ferry to the island would dock, so you can find places to sit and a general atmosphere of relative quiet in here, making it a good place to store your wounded or to hide out. Characters may notice ICly that the Fusion Abominations and Mewssingno are avoiding this zone, or at least leaving it alone!

[It's the falling Tyranitar that gets the attention of... another Tyranitar. Tower turns to roar a greeting at her fellow just before getting dive-tackled by a bizarre creature with a Tepig's body and a Tentacruel's... limbs.

A Zap Cannon rushes out from behind to clear out that particular hybrid, aimed from the Magnezone floating in the middle of what looks like a clear spot.]

Keep your focus, Tower! You! [Twilight, sporting a yellow complexion, pointy ears and a very impressive mustache, turns to Rise.] Are you alright? Get your Pokemon in here to regroup, I've set up a safe zone!

[dangerousidol]

[Kanji would have replied to the fellow Tyranitar if he wasn't impressed by the Magnezone. Talk about a punch! If it was a punch. Not that Kanji really carde about the difference. That Magnezone would be his bff if he had his way.

Rise nods as her Gardevoir lets her down.] Yep!

[With the word 'regroup', she squeaks softly and looks around.] Oh no... Yukiko, you were supposed to keep an eye on Kabocha and Kyandoru! Don't tell me they ran off after Nanako and Tsukimi again!

[With how guilty the Gardevoir looks... it indeed happened.]

[Tesla'd be cool with that. Tesla's a pretty chill magnet spaceship. It even puts up with his trainer riding around on it like a spaceship the way she is now.

Twilight's ears flick as she hears Rise's concern, and she turns to the actual Alakazam next to her.] Starswirl.

[With a sharp nod, the Alakazam teleports to Rise's side, speaking up telepathically.] How far are they?

[Awesome. They'll be bff's even with distance keeping them apart. Let's take down some fusion monsters!

Rise is more than used to being spoken to like that. She looks behind her and tries to guess how long they've been away from her.]

They can't be that far. My Litwick isn't that fast at traveling, but my Pumpkaboo and Mismagius can fly... and who knows how fast Nanako can go. She's the weirdest Meowstic I know... I'm more worried about my little Kabocha and Kyandoru. They're so tiny!

[Starswirl takes all that in and considers it for a moment, then gives a decisive nod.]

Then let's see if we can gather them up quickly. Twilight and the others can hold the line without me for a short time, and if we can get you into the middle of our little ring you should be safe to rest for a bit.

Are you planning on attacking the main adversary?

Thanks! Oh, and don't worry about getting Nanako back. She'll be fine.

[Rise nods and moves into the circle before letting out a soft laugh.]

Not really. If I could do what I did back home, maybe. I think I'll get in the way otherwise. Maybe Nanako can tag along with you if you're going. She likes to fight strong things.

No, we're playing a support role in this one. We're holding this ground so that the others can go after the enemy with full strength, or something close to it at least.

The idea being that they'll need all the strength they can get for an opponent like that.

[That last is said by Twilight, who hops off of Tesla as it brings her down to the ground and walks over to Rise.]

We're going to hold onto this area as long as we can, to give everyone a sort of base of operations they can strike at that thing from. I don't know how long we'll hold out, but my team can handle quite a bit.

[Giving Rise a smile, she offers her hand... after first dropping the spoon she was holding onto for some reason.] I'm Twilight Sparkle.

[That sounds even more like what Rise used to do back home. Always the support. never the one who rode into battle. She misses having Kanzeon around, so she could tell her allies the weaknesses of the opponent, what worked what, who was running low on health... Maybe she could teach Yukiko to do that for her.]

Sounds good to me! We'll do our best! So don't worry about defending me or my Pokémon. We can hold our own~

That's exactly what I wanted to hear. If you can spread them out around the perimeter to work alongside mine, we can double our effectiveness. I have a Dragonite to the north, a Volcarona to the south, a Tyranitar to the east, and a Heracross to the west, if that helps. My Alakazam and Magnezone are staying here with me to provide backup fire.

[Tesla makes a few beeps at Rise in greeting.]

[Rise waves at Tesla before sighing and looking at her own Tyranitar.]

You're gonna have to fight, you know. No chickening out this time!

[Kanji lets out a pathetic little whine, but nods. This big guy hates fighting.]

[Tower roars irritably at him, essentially demanding he get over and help her out since she's got enough Fighting Spirit (aka unbridled and unfocused rage) for both of them.]

Oh hush! Not everyone has to be as vicious as you are, Tower!

In fact it's distinctly a good thing that most people and Pokemon aren't...

[Kanji is going to look awkward fidgeting (who knew a Tyranitar could) before slowly making his way to stand beside Tower. Now what.]

It's hard to train him when he's afraid to hurt even wild Pokémon. Can you believe I have to bribe him? Don't ask what with. He'd die of embarrassment.

[Cookies and cute things.]

I bribe Tower to not wreck things by feeding her rocks, so really they should balance each other out.

[She pauses a moment, realizing that this gives a rather negative impression of her abilities as a trainer.]

... Don't worry, the rest of mine are much easier to get along with.

[Starswirl takes this opportunity to rejoin the conversation, somewhat grumpily.]

I still can't believe you decided to bring her along.

Hush, Starswirl. This is one of those situations where her bloodlust is actually useful.

[dangerousidol]

Rocks? They can eat rocks?

[... maybe she's got a defective Tyranitar. Always her luck.]

I think Tower and Nanako would get along well. They could take out the entire island if they teamed up.

Well, Larvitar are supposed to eat rocks, that's how they get the necessary energy to evolve. I think Tower just thinks of them as treats by now.

You should see her try to bite into a sleeping Graveler. That's always good for a laugh.

[dangerousidol]

I never watched Kanji eat. I just let them do their own thing when it came to food.

[She lets out a giggle.] You should send me a video the next time she does that!

I'll try to remember. It's certainly not the kind of thing I should be keeping to myself. Besides, my team has a tendency to try to get the gear running at precisely the right time to embarrass me, it's only fair to return the favor, right?

[dangerousidol]

Right! But don't let Nanako ever know they do that. She'd want to do that, too.

[Which would be mortifying. Speaking of which.]

I have a feeling she'll be back soon...

Should I keep an eye out for flying hybrids?

[dangerousidol]

Probably. I mean, we don't want to be attacked from above!

I meant ones being hurled towards us by an angry psychic. Don't worry, I've got a watch set up for the more ordinary types of fliers.

[Tesla beeps in confirmation.]

[dangerousidol]

Oh! I see what you-

[Rise blinks and looks over just as one of said flying abominations crash lands to the ground. But not before something smaller launches itself off of its back.

As graceful as a psychic cat can be, a Meowstic tumbles and stands, throwing its little arms into the arm like a gymnast would. She then waddles over to Rise, pulling on her trainers skirt before nodding.]

... A-At least you're not angry...

[friendyousohard]

[Well, that's fairly impressive. Twilight watches with well disguised amusement as the adorable little ball of psychic fury makes her entrance.

Starswirl, meanwhile, stares at her in much the same way one would a grenade that hasn't yet had the pin pulled out. Clearly dangerous, something to keep an eye on, but not an immediate threat.]

Well, that was certainly quite an entrance.

[dangerousidol]

Nanako likes doing stuff like that.

[Nanako looks at Starswirl as if he was beneath her. She lets out a soft little mewl when Rise pats her on the head, still staring. Don't mess with my trainer.]

She's a good girl when she wants to be. So, she's here now. We're ready!

[friendyousohard]

[Starswirl sighs much like an old man who's just been disrespected by a kid. Just don't make him lay down the law little kitty.]

Right. Okay then, spread out and let's drive these... uh, creatures back!

[Tesla beeps in acknowledgement and Twilight offers Rise her hand.]
