In Which Giotto Is Confused...
Who: Ieyatsu Sawada ( Giotto ) and anyone near by. [ open~ ]
Where: Route 29
When: Mid-Morning on April 12th
Summary: Giotto had been through his fair share of strange things as a mafia boss, but this... This one surpassed them all. ( his starter is Growlithe )
Rating: PG
Log:
Giotto was crouched down facing the little creature in front of him. It was a curious thing that was for sure. It reminded him of a small dog, though it wasn't like any dog that Giotto had seen before. He chuckled as the thing got tired of staring back at him and pounced. "Well you certainly are affectionate." He commented scratching the animal behind the ears. If he remembered correctly it was called a Growlithe...
To be completely honest Giotto was still trying to figure out what was going on. He had woken up alone in a strange house, with some strange woman that said she was his mother. Now Giotto was sure that he had never seen her before, let alone be her son. BEsides, wasn't he a little old to be living with his mother? None the less Giotto's intuition told him the woman meant no harm, and he accepted her kindness playing into the role of her son. Things didn't get any clearer after leaving the house, but he tried not to show any of this on his face. It was a habit after years in the mafia to keep an easy smile on his face even when he was uneasy.
Sighing Giotto stood up, making the little creature stand on the ground again. Giotto bent and picked up the bag he had been given, before he started down the road, calling for the Growlithe to come along. Though looking down he smiled seeing that the little thing kept pace with him with out Giotto having to say anything. "Let's see what we can figure out about this place..." He said to

Hitting the reply button she attempts to make contact with the darkness on the other end. "Hello? Is there someone there?"
Sadly there is no perfect icon to show his priceless face...
His Growlithe same and sat next to him, head tilted to one side like he was wondering why exactly Giotto had stopped to dig through his bag...
I will try my best to imagine it. <3
"Not your bag, exactly. There's a red and black object in there somewhere. I'm talking through that." She explained, watching as she thought she saw a hand coming into view. "Yeah! Right there!"

"It's what everyone uses to communicate here, at least when you're far away. It's called an 'electronic device', or more specifically it's called a 'Pokegear'. You're able to talk to me and see whatever I point it towards. See?"
She demonstrated, turning the camera towards Kishi, next to her, then back onto her smiling face.
"I'm in a place called Cherrygrove right now, and I think you're probably either in New Bark Town or on route twenty-nine. Either way I'm about a three day walk ahead of where you are now."
Unless he'd ended up in that other place, what was it? Mahogany town?
"My name is Katara."

Giotto shook his head and turned his attention back to the young lady he was talking to. "Katara? A lovely name." He complemented honestly. Unique too, Giotto wondered where it was from. "I go by Ieyatsu, it's a pleasure to meet you Katara." He said with a smile.
INEEDMOREICONS. :|
Not to mention it was kind of hard to top Toph's bed head first thing in the morning.
"Yeah, we don't either. It took a while to get used to."
At the compliment Giotto would be treated to a blushing Katara, who tried to play it off with a sheepish sounding tone. "Thanks. Nice to meet you. So, Ieyatsu--" She gave the name a try, making sure she repeated it the way he'd pronounced before going on. "--I guess I'll be the first one to welcome you to Johto. I take it no one has explained anything to you yet?"
I feel your pain, I've gotta find more for this guy my self. ^^;;
When all else fails, turn to fanart? ;0;
Katara saw that frown, taking it to mean that like many others in Johto Ieyatsu had important things to worry about from home, or that being in an unfamiliar place was really just that distressing. It had been both for her, after all. Her expression grew serious, not quite grave, but serious.
"I don't think anyone knows how it's happened, but there are people from all over gathered here. Where my brother and I are from there's the North and South pole, Earth Kingdom, and Fire Nation. I spoke with a girl that said she was from the 'United States of America'. There's no place like that on any map back home, or here for that matter. From what I've been able to gather there is no rhyme or reason when we're brought here, either. Some people come from further into their friends' and family's time lines."
Like Tohru, who had given Katara Jet. She'd mentioned being from a point in time further ahead of her friends when Katara talked to her.
"Some people here weren't even HUMAN before they got to Johto."
Haha you bet.

She gave him a look that communicated exactly that.

Giotto shifted his seated position as Growlithe pounced on him, briefly coming into view of the camera, before he was gently pushed away with a firm "No." The pokemon looked at him, and then turned off to chase something near by. Chuckling at it Giotto shook his head before he said, "You've been a great help to me, Katara."

For a moment she looked pleased, just about to let him know she was happy to help when something Sokka said came back to her, and her eyes widened.
"Oh! I almost forgot! This thing we're talking on, it has a few other uses too. If you point it at Pokemon it'll tell you all about them, like what element they can control, and how strong they are. There's other stuff too, but it would take a while to explain it all and I'm still getting used to some of it myself. I didn't mean to talk your ear off, as it is." She admitted sheepishly, calming down. "You have a manual in your bag that will show you the ropes. Just make sure that you try to make your food last, that woman didn't really pack much for the trip and it's at least three days!"
Mother hen much? Yes, yes she was, and recently Katara had started to come around to the idea of embracing that fact.

He laughed at Katara's mothering words, "Yes of course. I'm sure it will be fine." He said his voice reassuring.

His reassurance seemed to have a positive effect, though. She almost hated to end the feed.
"Now that I've contacted you you should be able to reach me anytime. Call me if you need anymore help?" She offered, Kishi could be heard and then seen, trilling in the background, then peering over Katara's shoulder.

Katara smiled and waved at the camera a little, then finally cut the feed.
