Ed didn't answer. Instead, he took Al's offer and trudged to the nearest tree, leaned against it, and slid down the trunk. He pulled his black coat off his automail and let it drop next to him on the ground. Aurum didn't seem to like the idea of taking a break despite the heat, and he tried to grab Ed's automail arm to tug on him, but it was slightly too hot and he burned his little paws. "Not fun, is it?"

"I told that girl I'd be there in two days. If this weather keeps up, it'll take forever." He lifted his head and gazed at Alfons. "If I die, save yourself." Despite dead-pan voice, Ed was joking. Al (his brother) and Winry would kill him if he died.

Aurum didn't get it though, and picked up Ed's water bottle, squirting him in the face.
