Summary: Hayate invited Mitsuru out on a date for her birthday! Hopefully he will not ruin it horribly.

*It wasn't unusual for Hayate to be early for something... In fact he always tried to be early, which is why when he sent Mitsuru the text to show up at the movie theater at around noon, he fully intended to get there a good thirty minutes early!

... something he was regretting significantly at this point, considering he had been nervously pacing in front of the theater for the entirety of the time. Should he have dressed up nicer for this? Was tossing on his nicest coat on top of his uniform not enough?? What if she didn't like the movies playing? What if something came up and she's late?? What if she didn't show up at all?! There could totally be more important things for her to do on her birthday than go out with him, right??*

Ahhhh... Why does this all suddenly feel like I'm going to be willingly participating in a train wreck?

No, I, ah... Well... *he shall just be leading her over to the surf!* I actually had something a bit more... U-Um... *pushing his index fingers and thumbs together and looking incredibly awkward* In... Intimateinmind...?

Um, w-well-! *shifting a bit as he reaches into his bag, pulling out a Pokeball! He then tosses it out at the ocean as his Lapras appears, before he catches it on the rebound.*

If... If you're up for it, I... I thought we could go out for a ride, just the two of us? And just... um... y-you know... I-I thought it would be more original than taking you out on a boat...

*Stepping out onto Sasaki's back, before he holds out his hand to her to help her on.*

[taking his hand and letting him pull her up. it is the least childish thing in her mind]

*He is pulling her up on board in one smooth motion! And kind of, um. awkwardly holding her for a moment... Before he loosens his grip with a blush and... sits himself down on the Lapras' shell*

--ah, um... H-Have a seat! We can head out once you're comfortable...

[blushes a bit as he holds her, kyaaaa... but then settles herself comfortably onto the Lapras's back]

T-thank you. [a smile] I'm prepared when you are.

*shiiiifting about on the back of the Lapras so he's facing forward* --um, all right, Sasaki-! Let's go!

*And with his usual deeeeep manly cry, the Lapras starts to take them out away from the beach at a nice relaxing pace! Hayate is letting out a rather large sigh of relief as well, since he wasn't even sure he'd get this far.*

[holding onto the Lapras's back as Sasaki starts moving, but the slow pace prevents there from being any unsuspecting lurches, and before long she realizes she doesn't have to hold on while they drift.

So relaxing =3=]

--ah! *He is shifting about on Sasaki's back, turning back to look to Mitsuru again. Sadly he is not brave enough to move over right next to her.*
