Log: Well......this was.....odd. Shiho wasn't used to dates. This was her first one, and she wasn't exactly sure of what to do. She at least decided to buy that dress she had tried on a few days ago. She should make some effort to look nice, even if it was just a thank-you dinner. But hey. Looking nice never killed anyone.

As she stood in the hotel lobby, she adjusted her dress a little bit, ending just below her knees. She stared down at her black flats, and dusted a bit of dirt off of them. Shiho was so relieved that Hattori-kun ran off to Goldenrod for the Kid heist, and Kudou-kun hadn't asked where she was going. She had also left all of her Pokemon in her room to prevent any......incidents from occurring.

Shiho then walked out of the lobby, and into the cool, breezy night. Looking a little flushed, she stood outside and waited for Ted.

Ted, for his part, left his pokémon at the Center. As soon as he and Naoki got to Violet, he had made sure to grab his pokéballs before Cleo noticed and made them all return immediately. As much as he was growing fond of them despite being constant headaches, he really didn't think Shiho would appreciate being tackled, hugged or kissed by any of his affectionate bunch. She certainly would not want to be pounded either by the not-so-affectionate Piplup.

Once he actually made himself look decent as opposed to recently arrived from some journey, he made his way to the hotel, looking around for the girl he met in the network. He smiles when he spots her though, making his way over.

"Hey there. Sorry I'm late."

Shiho turned in his direction to face Ted. Overall, she was fairly calm about the date, but still just a bit nervous. She was happy that he decided to look decent, as well.

"Hello. Don't worry, I haven't been waiting long."

It's true.

"Thanks. Shall we head out then?" He grins, coming to a halt near her. He notes the outfit and smiles, amused that she really went out of her way to look nice. It was a nice gesture even if it was simply dinner, which probably also meant he can't just drag her off to some cheap place.

"Can't say I'm an expert around here though. Do you have any recommendations for good food here?"

"All right." When she saw his smile after looking at her outfit, she felt a bit at ease, and let out a small smile.

"Yeah, I know some fairly good restaurants near here. I'll show you."

"I'll trust your judgment then." As soon as she walks, he bounds alongside her with an easy stride. He wasn't particularly nervous or anything, he didn't really have a reason to be.

"Did you leave your pokemon behind?" He asked curiously, noticing the lack of pokeballs with her.

"There's a good Italian restaurant near here, if that's fine with you."

At the mention of the Pokemon, her face becomes a little more annoyed.

"They really wanted to come, but they would just tease us all the way through dinner. And then demand desert."

"Sure, I don't mind." Not that he knows what the heck an Italian restaurant is, mostly because Italy doesn't exist where he's from. He'll just assume that the food is good no matter what kind it is. He notices the change in her expression though, raising an eyebrow.

"Tease us all the way?" He chuckles, amused. "Well, we wouldn't want that, that's for sure." And he'd be forced to pay for all their desserts if they came along, so better they don't.

"all right, then. It's right over here." She guides him over to a street with a row of nicely lit buildings.

"You don't know teasing until you've met my Pokemon. And you're treating me. I don't want you to have to deal with paying for their desert, too." She gives an amused smile.

"I'm glad my pokémon are a little more behaved then." He follows her, looking at the buildings in some awe. The design of Violet City was very different from Cherrygrove after all, and Ted always had a fascination for new places. It came with traveling so much, in a way, since it was always good to see something new each time.

"The architecture here's pretty nice."

"Consider yourself lucky." Shiho had seen the architecture many many times before, so it wasn't anything new to her. In fact, she was rather tired of it.

"At first, but then you get quite sick of it once you've been here for weeks."

"You think so? I think a lot of places have a charm of their own." He quips back immediately. Then again, he was happy enough to stay in one place long enough if he can, something that took him years to be able to do--- and he didn't even last that long.

"What kind of places would you prefer, if not this kind?"

"I've been here for a few months, I'm pretty sure I'm over its 'charm'." She thought for a moment. What kind of places did she prefer? She hadn't exactly been traveling all over the world. Or much traveling at all, really.

"I suppose I prefer big cities." Where it's easy to hide in the crowd.

"Big cities are pretty nice. Have you ever been to one with a big castle before?" He asks easily enough, letting the topic slide to that. Small talk was nice after all, especially when one is getting to know the other. They were at least near the restaurants now, the only thing required would be to actually select a place for them to eat in.

"A big...castle?" Usually, castles are far away from cities. Up in the mountains or something. And there certainly aren't any near where she lives in Tokyo.

"I'm afraid I haven't. I've seen very large mansions, but no castles." Shiho was trying to find the restaurant she had been to before, just a little ways down the street. She then points to it.

"Ah, the restaurant is right over there."

"Usually, the castle would be in the central city of a country where I'm from. It doesn't seem to be the case in this place either, so I was wondering if it's different in other worlds too." Not always the case of course, just a little tidbit from experience. Besides, it wasn't like it was anything secret, just a bit of his world that's different from this place again.

He looks up at the mention of the restaurant, eying it for a moment. It looks pretty decent, might be a nice place to eat then. Good.

"Excellent choice!"

"Ah, that makes sense, then. I don't recall if there was any specific central building in Tokyo." At the okay, Shiho begins walking toward the restaurant.

"Glad you approve." Not as much sarcasm as usual.

"It's that big?" He opens the door for her, making sure she gets in first before he'll follow suit.

If he was going to ask a girl to eat out with him, after all, he still had to be quite the gentleman.

"Yes, Tokyo is very large." She walks through the door and waits for him. Once he enters, she thanks him.

"Thank you."

"Don't worry about it." He says cheerfully in reply, looking around for a seat for them. Very large, huh? He suspected it probably meant something a lot bigger than Gregminster... maybe Harmonia?

"Can you describe it to me?"

Can she explain it? Well. How long has he got?

"It's a metropolis city. It's very large, and has many skyscrapers. Lots of different companies and businesses are there, and there's also the Tokyo Tower, the largest tower in the city. There's also many mountains and other geological areas that are good for vacationing." And she goes on and on.

Quite a lot, given he likes listening to stories. The waiter ushers them to the nearest available table, with Ted listening intently to her story. He nodded at the appropriate times, commented when he found something else to ask about in her explanation, but otherwise he let her tell the story.

Once she's finished describing Tokyo, she sat down.

"I'm pretty sure there's a city in Johto that's similar to Tokyo. I believe it's Goldenrod."

I'm going to have to check it out then, when I get there. It's still a long way away after all.

[Oh hello, menu. He'll let her order first though, given he's not sure what he wants yet.]

Perhaps we'll run into each other there.

[Also opening her menu and looking through it. She's been here before, so she's familiar with the menu, and soon decides what to eat]

Are you planning on heading there soon?

[He ends up choosing something a few minutes after she does, being a little picky sometimes.]
