Who:
usedtherapy and
usedwindything
Where: Goldenrod City
When: Back...timed? To noon on the 20th of May.
Summary: Rose believes it's time to explore the new city, and John is being dragged into it.
Rating: Is there a rating for "You might die of cute"? PG-13 for the slim possibility of language, I guess?
Log:
[[Admittedly she had been too tired to bother paying much more attention to her group than "go find hotel rooms". She knew they were capable - for the most part, anyway. Really it was only the clown that would have a problem, and after the paras-mushroom incident within the forest she felt leaving him to Karkat's supervision was well within what she deserved - and therefor focused on her own rest and relaxation. She hadn't given the city a look, she hadn't cared about the bustling people, all she wanted was a bed and something to alleviate her throbbing head.
The next morning, however, she felt a little guilt behind abandoning them so quickly. Especially recalling how upset John had looked over the situation. That was why, when noon rolled around, she decided to pay him a visit. She wanted to explore the city and she knew he would likely enjoy it as well. They could visit the department store, perhaps find a place to have lunch...that would probably be a good place to stop. She wanted to apologize, but it was beginning to sound like a date. And if it became too similar to one, she knew she probably wouldn't go through with it...
She was already having a hard enough time just knocking on his hotel door as it was. Pacing in the hall outside it (she had to do a little detective work to figure out which room he was staying in, which actually involved doing an errand for the clerk...which...involved doing an errand for the cook, who needed the assistance of a maid found somewhere else within the building and basically she figured it out, okay?) she sighs at herself, muttering about how it's not that big of a deal and it isn't as if she's asking him out or anything. They're just...spending the afternoon together. Just the two of them. Going out to lunch, and maybe dessert, and doing a little shopping...
With a deep breath, she finally gives the door a few firm raps from her knuckles.]]
...John?

Yes, Rose. She is giving you advice. And that advice is: MAKE EGGS WITH THAT BOY. YOU GO MAKE EGGS WITH THAT BOY RIGHT NOW.][There is just so much excitement in that Yes!!. She's even nodding her head happily. Yes, Rose. I would say that's approval. Congratulations. You have Casey's approval to date her daddy.
And make eggs with him.]no subject
Well I am glad to hear this, Casey. That makes me quite relieved to know I have your permission.
[[Casey? Hopefully you're ready for this, because after a moment of fidgeting, she pulls you into a hug. She doesn't really believe she needs your permission or approval, but having it anyway? Still encouragement.
Plus, she needs a hug. Has for a while. And there's no hugs out there better than Casey hugs, right?]]

All of these feelings and emotions. What do you do with them?
So yes. She is giving Casey a fairly tight hug, quite content with continuing like that for a while.]]
You're so sweet, Casey.
no subject
[So hug her as long as you need to, Rose. Casey is good at dealing with the churning ocean that is adolescent emotions at this point. You just hug the sads away!]

Remind me - or, I suppose, have Guile remind me - to take you and her out sometime this week, alright? Just us three. And I'm not referring to training either.
[[Yes, she is suggesting having a "girl's only" date with you and Guile. She's heard of a few nice places in Goldenrod City specifically for Pokemon, after all. What could it hurt? They've both been so nice.]]

[Oh, she likes the sound of that, Rose. So much in fact that you are getting a very tight squeeze along with that happy exclamation. She would remind you if she were capable in speaking in words that you could understand!]

[How long has John been standing there? Good question. Not too long, and certainly not long enough to have heard any ~private~ information that Rose shared with his Lopunny.]
[Whenever you feel like turning around and acknowledging him, Rose. Until then, he'll just standing there in his super nerd outfit with his arms crossed, hair damp, and a wicked grin on his face. It's chill, Rose. Take your time.]
no subject
You might have, John. We were having a fairly private heart-to-heart girl talk, after all.
[[And now a tiny wicked smirk of her own.]]
About boys. I hope you aren't too heartbroken that you missed joining the conversation yourself. I know you enjoy gushing over Dave.
no subject
Oh darn, really? My heart is beyond broken about this, Rose. You couldn't wait to gush over boys until I got down here too? Because you are so right. I just love going on about how wonderful Dave is. And so attractive. Gosh, he just makes me swoon.
[If you can't hear the sarcasm, you should probably visit an audiologist, Rose.]
no subject
[[Standing, she buries her hands in the pockets of her peacoat.]]
Are you ready then? I am certain Casey and I are. And if so, what would you like to start with?
no subject
[He unfolds his arms.]
But yeah, I am ready. And whatever you want to do first is fine with me.
no subject
[[She motions for him to follow, heading towards the door.]]
How does that sound?
no subject
That's fine. I was just kidding though, you don't have to do anything to make it up to me. I can pay for my own ice cream.
[Following!]
no subject
[[Oh hello Casey! She certainly does not mind having you walk with her, tossing the same look back to John. Jeez John. So slow!]]
no subject
What? No, Rose. Really it's fine, you don't have to do that.
no subject
[[Chuckling, she nudges his shoulder a little with her own before offering him a warm smile.]]
I want to.

[[She'll drop the subject, in favor of glancing around the city now that they're closer to the middle of it.]]
This is a much larger city than the previous ones we've been to...
no subject
Yeah. I kept hearing how much bigger it was and everything but now that we're actually here it's just...woah. Huge. I can understand why people stay here longer than they do in the other cities.
no subject
[[Spotting an area that looked as though it had various diners and restaurants to choose from, she took John by the wrist and started tugging him in that direction.]]
Here, come this way.
no subject
[Woo hoo! Being dragged this way now!]
Wait. Does that mean you're going to stay here then? Are you not going to travel with us anymore?
no subject
[[Yup, dragged along, you have no choice in this matter.]]
I do not plan on staying in any one area. I'm curious about Johto and would like to continue traveling with you and Karkat. I would like to watch you succeed in person rather than through video.
