Who: Envy, Tulio, Miguel, France, Romano
Where: Goldenrod, Route 35
When: June 6th
Summary: Conmen, countries, and a homunculus are heading out on a road route trip to Ecruteak together. This can only end well.
Rating: PG-13
Log:

Envy enjoys being in the big city, really he does. Back home, if given the option of staying in either Central or Dublith, it would be Central all the way. And after staying in Goldenrod so long, he isn't terribly looking forward to camping in the woods again. Not that he, Miguel, and Tulio haven't spent a fair amount of time sleeping in the city parks, but camping in parks is different because there are no wild Pokemon to run screeching through the middle of everything at four in the morning.

But even he has to admit that they had been in Goldenrod for way too long. And that he may never forget that background tune for the rest of his life. A change would definitely be welcome. He shifts his bag on his shoulders, looking around at the others; he's looking just a little impatient, but that's nothing new.

"This is everyone, right?"

For being the largest city in Johto, Goldenrod had been, in France's opinion, absurdly lacking. Sure, he hadn't expected Paris (because, honestly, nothing could compete with Paris), but he had expected a little bit more than the utter dullness that settled in after a few months there. Aside from the redundancy of the local residents, the people who came and went through the city were alright, but France craved more excitement. So, when Envy had asked him along, France had packed up, checked out, and trooped off.

Thus, he finds himself on the road again, cooking the evening meal over the fire. He's still not sure how the bags in this world seem to fit all that they do, but he isn't complaining.

France looks up from prodding the fire and flashes a grin at Envy's question. "I'm quite well, thank you."

He turns his attention back to the stew, which he's giving a highly concentrated look, trying to decide if he should add more cornstarch or not.

So. Tulio's not entirely sure how he got talked into this. He doesn't like kids - that's Miguel's thing - and he knows, with quite a bit of certainty, that he doesn't like this blonde crazy guy.

To be fair, he doesn't have a lot of reason to, but he's still opposed to the idea of him travelling with them. Him and the little kid. Especially him. Well, France, he supposes, but in his mind he'll be labeled Blonde Crazy Guy (That Isn't Miguel) for at least some more time, mostly out of resentment.

Then again, Tulio has a habit of being suspicious to everyone.

But it is admittedly hard to stay in that mood when the people you're trying to direct such feelings to are cooking, and their cooking smells good.

Damn it.

Which is why Tulio's decided to keep quiet, arms crossed, and look the other way. He's not entirely unapproachable, but he knows he's not terribly good at the whole social ... thing, and thus decides it's easier to stay back and lay low (his favourite) rather than end up snapping at the rest of them.

He already fought Envy enough about this, after all. He figures he'll just bear it like a man, get through these few agonizing days without going crazy and then be free of them all once they reach this Ecruteak place.

A small part of Romano, albeit teeny tiny and barely voiced, almost convinced him to stay behind in Goldenrod City despite how comfortable it had become. As he looked about the odd group of people before him, he wondered if maybe he should have listened to it.

He sat next to France, half of his attention trained on the other man's cooking technique while the rest of his mind was occupied with keeping a close watch on the other three men. Envy had a name he immediately distrusted and so he kept a reasonable distance from the man. Tulio he remembered from the festival long ago (and the poor gamble he made) - and thus he was already not too fond of him, as interesting as the other man seemed. Tulio was a thief and a bastard (maybe). Miguel, on the other hand, seemed okay. An idiot in every sense of the word, but certainly okay enough to strike a conversation with were Romano in a friendly mood.

"Is it ready yet?" It may have been a question directed towards France, but his eyes were fixed on the stew.

Being on route again feels good. Not that Miguel minds staying in a city for a longer period of time no, but there is something special about travelling, and now they have extra travel-company.

He didn't mind the kid, no, not at all. Nevermind the fact that the kid - what's his name? Romano? - was pretty foul-mouthed and not particulary nice, he was still a kid and thus Miguel overlooks that behaviour.

This other guy, however... Miguel isn't sure what to think of him. Tulio doesn't like him at all, and that can be seen miles away, but.. Miguel just feels awkward around this Blonde Dude, because what are these things that he is saying sometimes.

But let's just not think about that right now and instead focus on this food he is making and hope that he'll share some.
