Hanna Hunt!

Who: Hanna, Connie, & {...}
Where: Cherrygrove City
When: Dayish?
Summary: In Which Connie and A Zombie Hunt For Hanna
Rating: PG-13?
Log:

[Hanna lies on his back in the sand, basking in the sun on Cherrygrove's beach, while his Eevee frolics happily in the surf. He's somewhat less excited now, pondering this new world and wondering if he'll ever see his partner again.]

[He'd been told earlier by Conrad that Hanna was around… somewhere, but with no idea where, (along with being in a place he wasn't familiar, inhabited by "pokemon" which could "cute fluffy sheep-like monsters" or "giant bees about the size of a person") Zombie felt he had reason enough to worry. ...More than usual, at the very least.]

[He approaches the entrance to Cherrygrove, his Heracross still with him, but tired from the battles they had fought to get there.]

Conrad, who'd had quite enough of being heckled by Worth, found himself outside in the sunshine of Cherrygrove. The rays descending rays were bothersome, causing him to sporadically loosen and unloosen his collar uncomfortably, but not as bothersome as the unlicensed doctor after hours of being nearly constantly by his side. A permanent scowl had found itself on the vampire's face, and that didn't change until he caught sight of a very dead-looking man loitering by the entrance of the city. Shoving his hands into his pockets, he changed directions, making a beeline toward the zombie. Out of all the people he could be forced to deal with, he mused, this was the lesser pain; after all, at least he was familiar with tact.

"Oh, you made it," was all he came up with, a hand lifting to rub at the back of his neck, visibly uncomfortable again by the irritating sunlight. He supposed though, that it could be worse; the sunlight could be eating right through him like it usually did when he absent-mindedly wandered into a lighter area of his apartment.

Upon seeing the other approaching, Zombie gave a nod, and noted Conrad's discomfort in the sun. He had wondered how the other was dealing with the extremely sunny weather, and if he could guess by the other's appearance, the answer would be "with some difficulty."

"I did." A beat. "Is the sunlight bothering you?" If the shade would be more convient for Conrad, considering how Zombie wasn't even sure how the other was managing to not burst into flames, then he would suggest finding some (if there was any) to stand in. But, the vampire seemed to be doing fine as it was, and it didn't matter to him where they stood. Hopefully they would be doing less standing and more searching for Hanna, anyway.

"J-Just a little bit," he responded to the apathetic concern. If he could sweat, he would be; unfortunately, he had the inability to do anything past squirm uncomfortably. On the flip side, though, he was just accustomed enough to this discomfort to not dwell on it too much as he put on his proudest grimace and address the presumed next topic of discussion: Hanna.

"I guess we'll have to start looking for that pain-in-the-ass now," he relented, already craning his neck over his shoulder as if in search of the man already. "Though, knowing him, he's probably half-way across Johto by now."
Conrad slumped defeatedly, suspecting that there might be some truth to his exasperated exaggerations.

He knew Conrad could be absolutely right, so Zombie didn't respond to the comment. No need to agree with something negative like that, even if it may be true.

"We should start looking here first, before assuming," he said, glancing at the brightly colored town, to indicate that he was not going to give up so easily. Then again, he also was new to the area, and hoped Conrad could help navigate the city with him. Not that it looked entirely difficult to do so to begin with; there were few buildings, and the zombie could see a beach a little way into the distance from where he stood.

And Conrad knew that the dead man was probably right, too. Which was a relief, really, since he didn't really feel like trekking across a foreign land searching for a hyperactive ginger. This city had only just started to feel a little bit less like a deathtrap.

"Yeah, sure," he agreed flippantly. "There's not really much here, anyway. Just a few houses and a Pokemon Centre. And that beach...I don't really spend too much time over there."
Beaches weren't really Conrad's speed--that is, he wasn't the type to strut around, ankle-deep in sand, wearing a tiny lime-green speedo.
