Where: Olivine City
When: backdated to a couple of days ago (before the soul stealing!)
Summary: James needs help fending off a Murkrow.
Rating: G
Log:
Blowing off time, James decided to roam around the outskirts of town. He was currently spending time with his Rattata. He had caught the pokémon a little outside of New Bark Town and hadn't really spent time with it until now. As they continued down the stretch of road the two passed by an ominous looking bird with a-- James blinked as he stopped to stare. Was that a-- was that a wizard hat?
Shaking his head he urged his feet to go forward, but.... Something had compelled him to just sit and stare at it. Rubbing his chin he eyed the bird ignoring the obvious glint in it's eyes as it stared down his poor Rattata. "You kind of remind me of someone..." James mumbled to himself.
Reaching out to touch the weird looking hat-thing he paused as someone came to mind. "I know! You remind me of Professor McGonagall!" James yelled as he snapped his finger. Unfortunately for James this ended up startling the Murkrow and in retaliation it leapt off of the fence and straight towards James' Rattata.
This in turn caused Wormtail to hightail it and run off in a completely different direction.
"Oh bloody hell!" James cursed as he ran after the Murkrow. "I'm sorry! You're not McGonagall!"

Having gotten used to the everyday life Olivine City had become for him, Harry noticed easily enough when things started getting...weird. Well, weirder than usual, although Johto was growing on him until even that felt normal-ish. Black crows fluttered in when they hadn't before, and he was put at unease with the way James and Lily had been reacting to them.
Harry decided to take them on a walk soon enough, just to get their minds of the changes and to hopefully relax them. While James and Lily quickly took to playing along the path, Harry had drifted into his thoughts yet again. He thought about a lot of things, and his mun honestly doesn't feel like writing them all out, so he's pretty much just being a bit emo and whatnot and what are family do want. It was when he heard McGonagall's name being screamed out that he snapped out of it, and looked up to see the familiar teen from a month or so ago running after a crow who was chasing a rat.
Welp. It was about time Harry had the chance to pull of some more heroics, not that that was his motivation in the least. Harry took off in their direction, and was soon followed by his own Pokémon.
"James! Agility, then Thunderbolt!" he shouted, knowing that James the Pikachu was listening attentively. Said Pikachu sped up and aimed a powerful shock at the Murkrow, hopefully dislodging it off the Rattata's path.
Helping now, questions later.

Anyways-- the ball twitched every which way before finally settling down. And James could have sworn that he heard a small locking sound. "Huh... weird." He said as he rubbed his head and walked over to it. "Well, now that that's done you can come out of hiding Wormtail." James said as he called over to a quivering bush.
Pocketing the ball he turned over to look at the yellow mouse. "Thanks mate, I dunno where we'd be without you." James said with a grin. "Say--where's your owner? Is he back there or something?" James asked as he pointed behind the two.

"You caught it?" he asked the James human, staring down at the Pokéball that had once been wiggling with the mighty struggle of a Pokémon.

"No--you can have it, I wouldn't have thought to catch it," he admitted honestly. He wouldn't have, since his main mission had been to knock the thing out and beyond that...Harry wasn't quite the type to think things all the way through beyond an initial reaction. He put up a hand and made a sort of pushing motion, as if nudging the Ball back in James' direction.
"You're...you're the one who goes to Hogwarts, right? Or--you know about it, don't you?" He hesitated in asking, but tried to sound more sure than he felt about it.

But the boy didn't seem to give in as he pushed some at James' hand. Sighing he closed his fingers around the ball before putting it back in his pouch along with the rest of his pokéballs. "Well-- alright. But if you change your mind let me know." He smiled. "I don't think this old bird would mind the change all that much..." James said as he recalled the Murkrow's reaction to being called McGonagall. Man, if the real McGonagall found out about this she'd throw me into a years worth of detention! I definitely lucked out this time. James thought as he chuckled quietly to himself.
"Hmm? What's that?" He asked just barely catching the end of Harry's first question. "Something about Hogwarts?"

He nodded and pulled out his PokéGear. "Yes. It's just--I've never seen you before, and I go there, too," he said, turning the Gear over in his hand. "Well--before we talked before over the network here, that is."
Harry wanted to tell him about Ron and Hermione, how they had been in Johto themselves at one point, but left before he arrived. Then McGonagall had left and...he figured it wouldn't be fair to unload all his problems and worries to a boy he just met, even with the feeling that he could trust him lingering about.
"I guess--do you go to school there, or are you one of the people--they're all Muggles, I think--who knows my name and everything about me when we've never seen each other before?"

As the kid rambled on, James quirked a brow. Err-- what was up with this kid? He shook his head. "No, I haven't the faintest idea as to who you are."

Harry blinked. A wizard who didn't know of him...? "You...really don't? Even," he brushed the hair from his forehead, revealing his scar, "this?"
Things were starting to get weirder, and Harry suspected this wasn't the end of it.

He glanced at the scar with mild interest but shook his head. "Nooot really? Sorry. Am I supposed to know who you are? And how'd you get that scar? Looks pretty cool."
