Anywhere the Wind Blows Doesn't Really Matter To Me
Who: France (
of_france) and Ryner Lute (
alpha_stigma)
Where: Ecruteak Dance Theater
When: July 11, evening
Summary: Ryner's pokemon has drags him out to the Dance Theater, where France is performing.
Rating: PG/PG-13
Log:
For France, the hardest thing about performing as a Kimono Girl is the shoes. He's more than used to pointe shoes and to high heels, and shifting his center of balance from the balls of his feet and toes to his heels goes against much of his prior training. Still, he has gotten much better, enough so to perform, although not yet as the start of a show. One day, he'll get there; for now, he is pleased to play his role as a supporting part of the Kimono Girls' performance.
Tonight's performance has gone well and has just drawn to a close, and France has already changed into more comfortable shoes. He's waiting his turn in the dressing room to be helped with undressing by the garments master, leaning backwards just a bit to get a glimpse of the audience moving around just off the stage...

As for the reason why he decided to come tonight... well, she had been sitting on his lap during the performance, but now as he stood up, she scampered up to take her usual place on his shoulder. Ryner internally sighed - he still had no idea why his Clefairy had wanted to come here tonight, but it was better than being slapped around again. And he couldn't say he'd disliked what he'd seen, anyway.
Smiling just a little, he reached up to scratch his companion a little behind the ears. "Did you enjoy it, Rose?"
"Fairy fair!" Rose chirped happily.

Glancing back to see if he had time, France smiled a bit to himself to notice that the garments' master, an older man with a finickiness about him, was taking his usual, leisurely time to work with the lead of the show for the night. It would be a while before the master got to him. France stood up, slipping out back onto the stage and heading down the stairs carefully, still entirely in his stage attire. He approached Ryner quietly, looking mostly at Rose.
"Excuse me, but I couldn't help but notice your Clefairy. She's very cute."

But on second thought, he supposed it couldn't be that unusual. And besides, Pokémon were a universal enough topic around here, even among strangers...
"Clefair fairy!" Rose, of course, realized quickly that she'd been complimented, and smiled brightly, happy that someone thought she was cute.
Ryner's arm dropped to his side. "Ah... well, she does try very hard to be cute," he said modestly, for the moment deciding that now was not the time to mention certain habits of hers.

France smiled back at Rose, waving cheerfully. "She doesn't have to try; she is naturally a beauty. Such cute little ears! You take very good care of her, good sir."

"She wouldn't stay so close if she didn't think so. Most pokemon and animals are very good judges of character like that."
He gave Ryner a grin and wink.

Somewhat awkwardly, he added, "Um... I really liked the performance tonight, by the way. And I'm pretty sure she did too."

"I'm so glad! I only began performing here a couple days ago, and, I have to admit, it's not a style that I was familiar with until recently."
no subject
"Fairy!" Rose chirped in agreement.
asdfjkl; sorry about the tense change in my last tag *A*
"That's wonderful!" France giggled lightly before offering a wink and an air kiss. "And I, your first! One's first time is always special honor to share."
That's okay! I mean... I'm kind of the first one who tense changed orz
It's hard to keep in past tense XD;; *so used to action tags*
"Every night at six o'clock. I perform every day but Sunday."
He grinned, a little bit lopsidedly.
"We would greatly appreciate your patronage."
Action tags are a lot easier ^^; This is my first proper log in practically forever.
"Clefairy clefair!" She hugged his head happily, excited at the prospect of coming back.

"Just between you and me, there's a general lack of handsome and pretty faces in the audience. It would be pleasing to all of us Girls to see a young, handsome creature like you in the audience from time to time."

Ryner was not exactly the most comfortable with flirting. Or compliments, really. He was also not the best at hiding his discomfort, pulling away nervously.
"I-I'm really not..."
Sorry this response took so long; I was moving, but I'm back now!
"You're a charming one," he declares cheerfully, turning his attention to Rose. "You must know of his endless merits. A beautiful lady always acknowledges a man who treats her well."
That's okay!
Without meaning to, Ryner winced slightly for a brief moment. While using her arms in an attempt to explain her meaning better, Rose had 'accidentally' caught a tangle in his hair and ended up pulling it.

"Here, let me get you some tea and cakes--on the house. Such a cute pair should be rewarded."
no subject
"...er, that is... All right, I guess," he finished, not wanting to get into an argument with his Clefairy. "If you're sure."

He took hold of Ryner's elbow, steering him gently but with purpose towards one of the low tables close to the stage. France settles himself on one of the cushions, letting go of Ryner to fold his hands in his lap and smile brightly at him.
"Please, sit."
no subject
"...I'm Ryner, by the way. Ryner Lute," he said. It would probably be a good idea to introduce himself properly, he figured.

Turning back to France, he said, "Yours is a good name too, I think. ...So, how long have you been in Ecruteak, France?"
no subject
"I've been here for about a month, and I started performing just last week," he smiled a bit lopsidedly before continuing: "The training was quite intense."

He took a sip of his cup of tea and smiled. "Ah, this is good!"
