Onward to ADVENTUUUUUUUUUUUURE~
Who:
heroofmilk and anyone in New Bark Town/around Route 29 who wants to join him!
Where: Route 29
When: Backdated to earlier this morning, to last for the next few days.
Summary: Link's on his way to Cherrygrove City.
Rating: PG (Will be adjusted if necessary.)
Log:
Link made sure he had everything he needed and that his supplies were secure before hopping up on his Ponyta's back. Her back seemed a bit higher than he expected. Sure, he had seen plenty of horses before, most of them being at Lon Lon Ranch back in Hyrule. Still, he had never ridden one before. He shifted on Epona's bare back, her spine digging in where it was pretty uncomfortable, but for increased traveling speed, he'd deal with it. The Pokemon turned her head back to give her trainer an unsure look.
"I kick your sides for you to go, right?" Link did so, and he suddenly wished he hadn't. Epona started off at a walk, quickly accelerating to a trot, canter, and then a full-out gallop. Link clung to her neck the best he could. Yelling at her the entire way.
"EPONAAAAAA!! SLOW DOWN!! ARE YOU LISTENING?!"
The Ponyta dug her hooves into the ground and came to a sudden halt, throwing Link off her back. He flew a few feet and crashed into a row of bushes while the pack he had on his back went flying off a bit further. Epona snorted, seemingly laughing at her own trainer while Link picked himself up and dug through the bushes to find the pack. "Thanks a lot, Epona."
He had no trouble locating his supplies, though there was a slight problem. A wild Pidgy was perched on top of it, swiveling its head to inspect just what it was it was sitting on. Link approached with the idea of just shooing the bird off, but it had a different idea. It flew at Link, pecking him. "CUT IT OUT!! HEY!! That stuff is mine!!" He threw a punch at the Pidgy and knocked it down out of pure luck, but it wasn't enough to keep it down. Instead, Link had just pissed it off even more."
Meanwhile, Epona jumped over the row of bushes. She stood there to watch for a moment, then finally came to the rescue, running at the Pidgy to tackle it, and successfully scaring it away. She snorted again and turned her head towards Link, looking quite proud of herself.
"Thanks." He patted her on her snout. "Ok, I get it. You like to run a lot, right? that's all you were doing in town." She nodded her head enthusiastically. "Right. Well, I'm not the best rider, so slow it down a bit, ok? I'll let you run as much as you want when we reach the next town, and if we run into any more ani- any more Pokemon, you're gonna be the one to fight them off anyway. How's that sound?"
Epona cocked her head, weighing her options. She nuzzled Link, a sign that she would agree to his terms for now.
"Ok. Let's go!" Link slung the pack over his back once again and climbed up on the Ponyta, who went off at a nice walk towards Cherrygrove City.

...sure enough some travellers were coming towards them; someone riding on a tall, four-legged Pokemon with a flaming mane and tail. And that someone was wearing what seemed to be a very familiar green tunic and hat.
Komali positively beamed at the sight of them, hurrying towards them as Din still watched and stared, apparently waiting for them to make a move. "Link! Link it's me, Prince Komali!" The young Rito called to the boy on the horse expecting a friendly welcome.
fjidspohiuerpgwKOMALI!! <33333333333
"Uh, hi." Well, this was embarrassing. Link would have thought that he had mistaken for someone else, though even he had to admit it would be pretty odd if someone else who looked like him decided to dress like him as well. "Have we met?"
fjidspohiuerpgw I COULDN'T NOT TAG THIS ;A; <33333333333
"Of course we have! Don't you remember? You helped restore my confidence on Dragon Roost Island so I could go and see the great Valoo and get my wings. You've been travelling around the Great Sea on that enchanted boat of yours... You remember, right? I even gave you my most treasured possession."
ZELDA FANS UNITE!!
"I'm from Hyrule. I never heard of the places you're talking about." He hated that he seemed to be dashing Komali's hopes, but what else could he do in a situation like this? "I heard that people are taken from different worlds here. Maybe I just look like someone else you know where you're from." Right. Someone who looks just like him, dresses like him, and even shares the same name. "Sorry."
YESSSS 8D!!
He nodded apologetically, petting his Natu gently and causing his head-feather to spring up from under his hand. "Ah no, don't worry. It was my mistake. I had no idea that people here were taken from other worlds. No wonder they're so different. I suppose... we could still be friends though. Couldn't we?"

"I don't think Epona can carry both of us right now though, so we'll have to walk."
