Adventures in Having a Kaitou-Tracking Dog, Part 2
Who: Heiji
k9tantei, Kaito
bakaitoukid, Conan
usedblazekick
Where: Somewhere outside Violet City
When: 9/14, evening
Summary: Remember that thing with Baskerville being trained to track Kaitou Kid?
Yeah.
He still does it.
Rating: Possible PG
Log:
It really was supposed to be a nice, peaceful evening training outside Violet.
And theeennn Baskerville caught a scent, and tore off running, a certain Growlithe hot on his heels - because this is what happens when you get two detective's dogs and one of them takes off chasing something.
Since Heiji was on foot, this meant once again lagging behind chasing the Houndoom, Ree the Ampharos just ahead of him, while his Gabite and Aerodactyl mostly kept pace, and this time, added to the herd, (one) still puntable other-detective and his pokemon.
Just short of their arrival near the target, Kaito will have the wonderful joy of being greeted by a storm of barking.
Yep, Bas still remembers you, Kaito, and he still knows who you are.

He had quickly slipped away from the bustling crowds of Goldenrod to sulk on his own on the outskirts of one of the Routes-- though if you asked him, it wasn't sulking, it was training. And that would be where Hattori's overexcited Houndoom would find him, perched precariously on an extended branch of a tree, one of his Pokemon (Biz, the Aipom) wrestling with a Nidoran (and winning, of course) at the base]
Oooi, Biz, c'mon, go easy on it. You're a good 70 levels ahead--
[The thief stopped as the barking finally reached his ears, gaze flickering up from the wrestling Pokemon to the distance, expression somewhat bewildered.]
Sorry for slow, life and family happened >.>;

Even if this means he has to ride his starter to make sure he can keep up with Hattori.] Hattori, why is your dog freaking out? [SERIOUSLY DUDE THE HELL.]

Silently cursing the fickleness of his favorite mistress Lady Luck to himself, Kaito lifts a hand and waves nonchalantly at the two detectives]
Yo!

Hey, it's you! [It's the guy who looks like him! I mean, Shinichi! Arthur is bouncing over to try figuring out what is so interesting about Kaito in the first place. SNIFF SNIFF SNIFF curious puppy is curious and wagging his tail. HI KAITO.]

Oi, Edogawa-kun! [STAYING UP IN THIS TREE, which probably makes the Growlithe's sniffing a bit more difficult, but. He is not coming down]
I didn't know you guys were in Goldenrod.

You guys too, huh? [an amused snort] My team didn't win either, but I agree that it was worth the trip.

[And Arthur's ears are going down- that is one very apologetic-looking dog.]
