Log:
It's been a long two weeks since Envy first spoke to Lust over the 'Gear, and he knows she should be getting through the mountains soon. So in the last few days, he's taken to waiting around the Mahogany-side entrance to Ecruteak in the afternoons after he gets off work. She might be from some strange alternate dimension where homunculi were made of Philosopher's Stones and not human transmutations, and she might not be quite the same as the Lust from his own world, but she's still a homunculus. Envy's been the only one of his kind in Johto since February when Greed left, and even back home the others were probably all dead. He'd seen his Lust die with his own eyes. So yeah, she's different and he knows better than to let his guard down completely, but he can't deny that he's become steadily more excited to see her in person since he'd talked with her.
Envy's out waiting again today, sitting high up in the branches of one of the trees near the entrance to the city. Being high up does wonders for his mood right after escaping his much-disliked job, and it helps with his usual impatience. Not to mention he's hoping that his perch will let him see her coming from farther off.

I legitimately thought I hit enter *hours* ago
The differences she had heard about from him were intriguing. She was somehow dead, human transmutations made homunculi instead of making candidates for Father's plan, and Envy is apparently working under a human. What was the world over there coming to? Well, Lust was curious but whatever the outcome is, she's not giving two fucks.
Today though, as Lust approached the entrence of Ecruteak she had Envy's pokemon with her - the ones he lent her. There was a sense of levity with her though, the fact that today she'd meet Envy was something to not mope over. But, for now, she'll stroll into town and spot him.
As Lust strolls, she'll just greet Envy with some ... compliments! HAHA. Don't think she can't figure you out so easily!!!!!! Yep she'll butter you up first. SHAMELESS... ]
Envy, you're looking particularly beautiful today.

[Compliments! Envy is so easy to flatter. His guard isn't down completely because of it, but he definitely looks very pleased.] Don't I always?
You don't look bad yourself for just having come out of the mountains.

I've been traveling for centuries now, it's hardly surprising I'm capable of doing this.
2/2 just adding some more on.

[He'll nod at that ouroboros and turn slightly to show off his own, because yeah, no matter what the universe that mark means you are a homunculus. Although Envy does notice that the seals have a few small differences between them.]
So, shall we discuss out here in the road, or would you prefer to head somewhere more private? [Tease tease tease, because it's nice to see her alive.]
no subject
Lust notices the differences, affirming that this isn't some cruel odd joke. ]
Somewhere more private, please. With the recent bumblings of the other Amestrians, I can't say I trust open spaces.

[He starts heading in the direction of the inn, assuming she'll be following or walking beside him, and snickers.] I'd suggest a cafe, but we can't exactly take care of any eavesdroppers like we could back home.

It's a shame death doesn't exist here, it'd be a great tool. It seems this place is just a kid designed cage for us, Envy.
no subject
Cage is a good word for it. I have heard people talk about this place being some sort of children's game in their worlds.
[He automatically lowers his tone as well.] It would seem that someone is playing some sort of cosmic joke, putting homunculi in human bodies in a world with no death.

So we're trapped in a child's game? How deplorable. At least all games have their victors, so how do we become them?
[ She rolls her eyes. ] A joke seems far too inaccurate. That'd imply this person has a sense of humor, or slight intelligence. I appreciate the advantage of being deathless, but the disadvantage of others being immortal? Not so much.
