In Which Ed is Confronted. [Closed plzkthx]

Summary: It's a picnic! Ed and Al have some catching up to do. More so than maybe they thought. Winry also gets more info than Ed wanted.
Rating: PG-13 for Ed's potty-mouth.

It was a good day for a picnic. Ed, Al, and Winry had chosen a nice green spot in Violet City to lay out their blankets and relax for a good lunch. The Pokemon were out and about too, Aurum picking out his favorite berries from a mix and Colonel just stuffing his face with anything Ed would let him get his claws on. Rain was leaning against her trainer, content with a full stomach and about to fall asleep. Meanwhile, Ed was still stuffing his face, though he had remembered something he had meaning to talk to Al about.

"Hey, Al. Have you seen that new guy from Amestris on the network yet?"

An Onix is a pretty big Pokemon and with everyone out it was only natural to have the gathering in the open. Acanthite certainly appreciated it, judging by he way she had curled up around Alphonse, Edward, Winry, and their Pokemon. Her eyes were closed and she seeme d content to sunbathe while the others played, relaxed, and ate.

"Hm? Someone else from Amestris? I haven't spoken to anyone new since Lust got here." Which was the day Ed disappeared, weeks ago.

Skye the Swablu was doing what it usually did - laying on her trainer's head and eating berries from Winry's hand whenever she offered them to the cotton candy bird. Den the Houndour was resting her head on the girl's lap, the dog's eyes were closed at the moment.

Someone new from Amestris? "You mean that man who was wearing the military uniform in Mahogany town on his post?" You didn't ask her but whatever.

"Yeah. I didn't get his name, but he's a Colonel. He said he had run into me before, but I'd never seen him before." He absentmindedly started to scratch Rain's head, who smiled as she quickly fell asleep. "It didn't look like he was lying either. Anyway, the thing is, I'm starting to think that there isn't just one Amestris." He looked up at Al to see if he was following. Parallel worlds anyone?

So Winry and Ed had both talked to him. He missed that somehow, but since he was the only one that spoke to Lust he supposed that would make sense anyway. None of them would catch EVERYONE that came to Johto. "Yeah... I think you're right, but it's strange. Nothing that Lust told me sounded familiar. That would mean there are other versions of ourselves somewhere, in an almost identical situation."

So Elrics were clearly prone to repeating the same horrible mistakes no matter which universe it was. That was depressing.

... What if their other selves showed up while they were still in Johto?!

Winry hadn't talk to him, but she hadn't missed that familiar uniform. It had clearly been someone from Amestris' army and she had been about to talk to the man when something distracted her. Okay, Winry is trying to follow you two here and it's easy to the point where she doesn't even try to question stuff. "...Well, it's possible and sounds like you're right about it." So, can she get worried about other versions of Ed and Al now, too? Nhah, she won't, but she could and it really is depressing that other versions of those boys would do the same (or worse) mistakes too.

Winry tries hard not to look too worried and troubled by this.

Ed's face fell at that. Even in another universe, their stupidity knew no bounds, at least when it came to that. Whatever. That wasn't the point here.

He shrugged. "It's just a theory. I guess we shouldn't be too surprised if other versions of us pop up here too." Ed couldn't help but wonder what he'd do with that. Probably pummel his other self for being so stupid. But then, he'd have to let himself be pummeled by him for the same reason.

Time to change the subject, especially since Aurum seemed to be having a tiff with Colonel about something, and sparks were flying out of his cheeks. Colonel was unfazed, and he just gently kicked the Pikachu away with his foot before the Pikachu latched himself on to his face...

Ed ran over, waking Rain who had been using him as a pillow. "Hey!! Cut it out over there!!"
