Who: Mimi Tachikawa + Skitty, Open to any!
Where: New Bark Town
When: November 11th
Summary: Mimi's got a week worth a travel to start on to get to her friends. She's not about to waste any time getting there!
Rating: G...PG if anyone who joins in has language.
Log:
It was around noon when Mimi Tachikawa took her first steps outside of the warm and cozy home she had woken up in. The nippy air hitting her cheeks playfully contrasted with the warm air she had just stepped out of. It woke her up, if she hadn't been before. Each breath gave her a new surge of energy.
Letting the crisply-cool grass crunch beneath her boots, Mimi set to the road with map in hand. If she didn't get started now, she knew the weather would only be cooling off the more time passed. She also knew she needed to get to the nearest rest point before sun-down. Her Skitty was still tiny, and what nurturing instinct Mimi had made it clear that she needed to keep the kitten-type Pokemon warm in order for it to stay healthy.
Mimi looked over her shoulder to her backpack. She kept an extra scarf and a medium-sized blanket on top of her manuals and belongings, just in case Skitty wanted to burrow beneath and stay warm. A sleeping Skitty is a growing Skitty--not to mention it would make traveling considerably easier if she didn't have to worry about what it was doing inside her backpack.
"First thing's first...as soon as I find someone who knows, we gotta find out if you're a boy or a girl!" Mimi cheerfully called back to her Pokemon. She didn't expect an answer--this wasn't Palmon, after all--but the lazy mew from the bowels of her bag brought her a joy reminiscent of when she first met her Digimon partner.
"You just rest then. The trip will be over all the sooner if you sleep through it!" Mimi spoke from experience, after all. With all her traveling on planes and buses and trains; Mimi learned at an early age that sleeping the trip away made the wait to your final destination all the easier.

He stopped by a bench and had his knees on the seat and facing behind it with his arms just hanging over the back. This was going to be a long way, and the sun was unbearable, which was unusual because he was used to it back home. Now that he had no magic, it killed.
His pink head hanging as he said, "I hate this place already!"

"...I wonder if he's asleep?" Mimi muttered below her breath. She then saw the Charmander patiently waiting beside him, and gave out a noise that was some odd mix between a squawk and a gasp. "Is..." She extended a finger accusingly at the Charmander. "...is that another Pokemon?"
Yeah, she was still getting used to seeing them around. There was something foreign about them, not like the Digimon would could announce their presence.

Natsu jumped a bit and looked down at his Charmander as he then said, "Yeah. He only says Charmander though, but I named him Igneel! After my dad!" Well, not necessarily a dad, but Igneel was close to one for Natsu. So, since Charmander was his buddy pokemon, he named it after the closest person to him.
Natsu looked up to the girl and then asked, "What's that?" He was pointing to her own pokemon.

When the boy pointed behind her, she looked over her shoulder and saw that her Skitty was peeking out from her backpack. "Oh!" She giggled, and pulled her backpack to the front, opening it. "Isn't it a cutie?! I haven't figured out how to have my Pokedex determine its gender yet, so I haven't named it...but it's a Skitty!"
The Skitty mewed cheerfully, twitching an ear quickly before proceeding to clean it with a swift lick of its paw, it went to work.

The small boy stared at it and made a strange face as he looked up at her again and shrugged, "I didn't know you can do that." He was super excited at how this place worked.
Aggh sorry for late tag. /flails
"So! Are you a trainer or a breeder?"
Don't worry! Mine's just as late!!

Mimi blinked a few times, "Oh yeah!" Her smile widened. "Did you get a book about how to breed Pokemon? If you did, that's a sure sign!"

He looked down at the bag next to him on the bench and went through it as he shook his head. Closing it back up, he then said, "No. Just some guide thing about trainers..." Doesn't help much, considering he couldn't do his reading lessons with Erza at the moment.

"It looks like you're a Trainer, then!" Mimi piped cheerfully. "Not that I really know all the difference."

He looks down, feeling tears as he got up from his seat as he looked away and put his bookbag on. He should go to Vivi so he can cry. He misses that Dragon so bad. The boy just ignores her completely as he fixes his scarf.

"It must be really hard to be in some new, strange place, huh?" It was new and strange for her, too...but having been from Japan to the Digital World and New York during 9-11, this was far from Mimi's first rodeo.

The pinkette sniffed and wiped his eyes with his sleeves. His shoulders shaking as he didn't speak, but just nodded to her question. Knowing that he would sound like a total wimp.

"It's going to be ok! We're going to head to Violet City together, and I'll stick around until you can find your friends!" She softly giggled. "Promise!"

The boy wiped his eyes and nose as he blinked and asked, "Really? But, none of my friends are around..." The poor boy was alone right now.

Mimi's Skitty mewed in agreement.
"Whattaya say?"

Giving a big smile at the sound of making a new friend, he spoke up, "Sure!"
