Summary: It's Robin's 14th birthday! This calls for a surprise picnic party.
Rating: PG (except for my action tags which tend to be PG-13 for cursing)
Log: [This shit is in action tags because I cannot handle anymore prose right now.

So I am assuming there is a park in Ecruteak somewhere and it's probably very pretty because this is "Japan" and the parks here are freaking gorgeous. Just for simplicity's sake, it probably looks something like this:



Two of the tables have been pulled together and on one is the cake Megan made, along with cookies from Midori, all decorated with a Robin theme, of course. There are also various snacks and drinks and Wally's ordered pizza to arrive in about fifteen minutes. The other table has presents! Because what kind of birthday party would this be without presents. And on both ends of the combined tables are black balloons with big yellow letter Rs written on them in the Johto equivalent of a Sharpie.

Also, since this is a surprise party, everyone besides Robin is already here! Don't forget to yell "surprise!" when he shows up.

[awkwardly, he shuffles around as he sets his bag down. He wasn't... really sure what to give Robin, but after finally asking the clerks what seemed like a million things, he finally settled down with a Soothe Bell and a couple of escape ropes. Here's hoping he likes the gift. hhhh--]

[Rob can definitely see how awkward Supey looks right about now, but he can't help but smile, walking up and inspecting the gift.]

So what'd you get me, man? A miniature sphere? [He picks up the box and kind of surveys it.]

They didn't have any. Unless you count these little balls. But that's lame. [he shoves his hands into his pockets.] I-- if it's not what you want I can get you something else.

I'm sure I'll love it. [He shakes the box and is surprised when he hears a little ring. It takes him roughly half a second to realize what it is, but then he gets really excited and starts opening the box to find the soothe bell.]

Dude! I needed one of these! This is perfect, Conner. Seriously.

[He pulls out his pokéball with Jenna in it and lets her out, kneeling down to tie the bell around her neck, standing back up looking quite proud. She messes around with it for a moment before turning to Conner and tilting her head to the side because she's cute and adorable and an eevee]

And then when she evolves I can finally change her name!

[It took Wally way too long to figure out what to get his bestie, but eventually he had a stroke of genius, and for the past day/day and a half he's been working on building Robin a motorcycle. Because, well, regular bikes are lame, and building a motorbike gives him something to do when he's not training his Pokémon (which is a thing he does now, believe it or not). It's been kind of difficult finding the right materials, and he'll probably have to get a job to afford some of the more expensive stuff, but a semi-decent motorcycle is in the works. It won't be anywhere near as amazing as the Jennycycles, but for a makeshift bike not manufactured in a factory, it'll be pretty damn decent. Of course, since it's not actually done yet, Wally took a picture of his progress with his 'Gear.]

It's a work in progress. Dunno when it'll be done, but yeah. Happy birthday, bro. [HAVE A NOOGIE.]

[So to be perfectly honest, and not hate on anyone else at the party, but Robin was definitely the most excited about Wally's gift. They'd kind of had a competition going for the last couple of birthdays, and with the whole fight, Rob had been a bit worried. But now he's holding Wally's pokégear and looking at the picture of the bike and honestly, he can barely contain himself.]

Dude are you serious? [And it's definitely his pure, unadulterated disbelief and excitement that allows Wally the noogie, and the fact that he's just kind of laughing instead of trying to get out of it.] This is amazing. So much aster.

Figured you were probably missing your bike. And I couldn't actually buy one, so, I mean, why not put my expert mechanic skills to use?

[Taking his 'Gear back, looking at the picture once more before shoving the 'Gear into his back pocket.]

I'm not sure how fast it'll go yet, but it'll work.

[Wally's grinning back. I mean, BEST PRESENT. Hell yeah. He's also kind of laughing now because it's been long enough he can joke about the fight in retrospect.]

You know, maybe it's a good thing we had that huge fight. I probably never would have thought to build you a bike if we hadn't.

When Robin opens his presents he will find random assortments of stuff. Oops. Things like potions and berries for his pokeemans and one of the boxes has a ton of shades. Like one for each day of the week or something silly like that.]

[So, Steph was kind of at a loss for what to get Robin at first. Tiny, male superfriend who is not a boyfriend and also richer than she will ever be and stuck in a Pokèmon themed alternate universe. Not really your standard birthday or birthday boy.

It's a good thing she's creative.

So Robin, here's one (1) box wrapped in eggplant paper (because purple would just be stupid) with a bright red bow that contains six (6) custom pokèballs, all decorated by batgirl herself. They're Robin's color scheme and have his special "R" symbol emblazoned on every one.]

I would sing, but part of my gift to you is sparing your ears.

[The box was purple...or eggplant, as the little Steph in his head corrected him. Where she managed to find eggplant wrapping paper, he will never know. He didn't really want to know, because it was his birthday and he was actually having a party with people he cared about. Steph included.
