[after playing note-tag, they finally decided on a day and time to meet up to fix this voodoo doll business. Sure he probably would have been a bit reluctant if he were back in Inaba, but, he kind of changed after spending a couple of months here in Johto. Not everyone is going to judge him for sewing-- hell half of the people here kind of find that a little admirable.

[And Merlin is ready for some lessons!! Guess who's just sitting cross-legged on the floor, staring at the voodoo doll he'd made and showed to Kanji earlier. Looking at it now, it still doesn't look right.

...not at all.]

[he gives an unsure look as he looks down at the doll.]

Well, first things first you gave it mismatched button eyes. Button eyes are okay for some dolls? But when you're making dolls everything has to be proportional. And I mean everything.

[dragonspeak]

Oh. [Merlin looks down at the doll. The doll looks back up at him sadly. He pats the head fondly.] I thought it gave it a bit of...character.

[craftingrebel]

[he snickers at that.] You give it character by giving it clothes. All dolls are the same until you dress them. But yeah-- you gave it character... just... not the character you were looking for.

[dragonspeak]

But isn't all character still...character? [Merlin makes a face at that, but he's grinning.]

All right, master of the needle. Show me how it's done, then. [He holds out the doll like a sacrificial lamb an offering.]

[craftingrebel]

Heh, yeah I guess so. It just gives it a creepier character. [he blinks and blushes at the comment and quickly takes the doll.]

Alright needle in training. I shall show you my ways. [and with that he slowly takes the stitches out of the doll.]

[dragonspeak]

Oy, you didn't have to say it like that. [It's not creepy!! He put a lot of work into that doll...okay, fine. Maybe it's a little creepy, but just a little.]

[Not that he has to worry about it anymore, since Kanji's taking it apart. Merlin watches the process with a mournful expression.]

[craftingrebel]

[he snickers.] Right, right. Then what should I call it?

[dragonspeak]

She's...misunderstood. [Pout. Even as he says this, Merlin knows it's just going to make Kanji tease him more.]

[he looks down at the doll in his hands and then back up at Merlin as a small smile slowly forms.] Oh? Well if she's misunderstood let's help her out some.
