Winry stared at herself from the mirror. She was almost ready to face a new challenge, all there was left to do was to put her hair on a ponytail and let boyfriend know about her so called plan. She didn't really need a plan, right? Her hands stopped. Ed's usual plan was the thing called IMPROVISING, why couldn't Winry use that plan today? No reason. Of course she could use it. There was a lot to do in Johto, especially here in Goldenrod. She finished the ponytail and stared at the girl in the mirror again with a smile. Okay, she was all ready for her first real date with Ed!

The girl went looking for her boyfriend. Once she found him, Winry threw his jacket at him. "Put your clothes on, you and me are going out!" She grinned cheerfully at the boy. And yes, they were 'going out' as in going on a date, though Winry really doubted that Ed would realize it. It didn't matter either way. They had gone out together a lot ever since childhood, they just... Hadn't been in a date before this day and usually Al had been everywhere with them. But it would be different this time. Al wouldn't be there with them this time. Nope. Winry packed her bag and put her boots on. Hopefully it wouldn't be too cold to go out wearing a miniskirt and leggings and all of her normal winter clothes. Nah. Everything would be great and it wasn't so cold out there today. Yup, this was going to be so much fun for sure!

While Winry was in her room messing with her hair, Ed was busy looking at a map and calculating their next move, whenever they would make it. They've been in Goldenrod for way too long now. He and Al had badges and HMs to get!

And then came Winry. Ed's coat hit him in the face, and he pulled it off and tossed it on Aurum. "Out where? We still haven't decided where we're headed next, and I'm not getting supplies until we're ready to leave."

Nope. He had absolutely no idea what Winry really meant with that.

"..." He really didn't get it. No surprise there, but now she should explain it somehow.

Winry blushed. She gulped too. "You know... When two people who are going out with each other... I mean, you and me..." The girl tapped her fingers together. She should just say it with one word, right? It couldn't be that bad...

She stomped her food on the floor. Just say it! Winry hoped she didn't look annoyed there. "DATE!" Yes, boyfriend, you may have heard that right.

Date?

Well, that was something most people did should they have a significant other. He gaped at Winry for a second before looking down at his Pikachu, who was making smoochy-faces at him. Ed responded by throwing his coat over Aurum before standing up.

"Uh...ok." He really didn't think a date was something they should be doing considering the message by Team Rocket, the train fiasco, and the fact that they had to get their asses moving, but then, Al was doing something on his own and there wasn't much else to do for the moment...

"What do you wanna do?" Is this how most people started dates?

Yes. Date. She really said it, didn't she? Why couldn't she say things like a normal girl? Tch, maybe because that dummy wasn't a normal boy either and they'd be on this same situation tomorrow if she hadn't said it.

Hey, that's good idea Aurum, but it may require some... time. Time is good, as long as it's not forever or never. Later would be good! And true, this might be the worst timing for this idea, but maybe they've stopped looking for Rockets by now? Or they'd be just ... Lucky?

Winry looked unsure. "Anything outside if that's not the worst idea ever?" At least the staff of this place hadn't ratted her on to the Jennies. Or if they had done it, the police hadn't done anything about it ~~yet~~. "Or we'll stay here and ...do something." That was probably a better idea than going out of the hotel anyways.

"You're the one who wants to do out and you don't even have an idea for what you want to do?" Such an understanding boyfriend, isn't he?

Aurum tugged on Ed's pants. He had an idea!! ""

"What?" Aurum hopped over to the window and pointed outside. There was a little coffee shop just down the street. It had a lot of sweets and tea, coffee, hot chocolate, stuff that sounded really good on a chilly day like today. Aurum was more than ready to go and get something hot to drink.

"How about the coffee shop?"

Oh, Edward... Winry stared at him for a moment. It felt like a very long moment too! "Look who's talking, Mister I'M ALWAYS IMPROVISING EVERYTHING... Or at least you do that a lot." She pouted a little. Oh, whatever. Winry looked cheerful again. "And I know I want to have fun~?" It was the basic idea for a date, sure, but maybe Ed's idea for the ideal date was something else.

She was confused by Aurum's actions at first. What was he trying to say now? He usually had good ideas, in Winry's opinion anyway. And Pikachu's idea was great this time too!

"Hey, Aurum, I'll buy you anything you want because you always have awesome ideas -- let's go already!"
