Summary: Twilight's getting flown in to see her girls!

The flight out had been a mixed bag for Twilight. On the one hand, this was a type of flying she'd never experienced before. Usually, if she was going to fly, she took her balloon or rode in a carriage courtesy of a pair of helpful pegasi. Though she hadn't done the latter in some time. Flying on the back of a great bird, a Pidgeot as her Pokedex informed her, was something else entirely and quite exciting.

It was also extremely cold.

As much as she bundled up with everything she was given (not much) and tried to burrow into Pidgeot's feathers to stay warm, it didn't really do all that much to help. It was cold outside, it only got colder as they rose up, and the incredible speed made for equally incredible wind chill. The trip was not fun.

Still, when they finally flew in to land at Goldenrod, Twilight had to admit it was worth it. The city was amazing to look at from above, and she knew it would be equally as fascinating below. But most importantly, her friends were there, and if she didn't do things this way, she would have had to hike for nearly a month to reach them.

As they landed outside what Twilight knew must be the Pokemon Center (the first one she'd seen), she looked around eagerly, determined to take in all the sights she could. Not that most of what she saw made much sense at first glance, but she was certain she could figure it out soon enough.

The Pidgeot fluffed its wings and crowed at her, and she turned to give it a grateful look. "Thank you. I really appreciate you bringing me here." The great bird crowed at her again, and moved a little closer to drape a wing over her. "Oh! You don't have to stay, you know. I'm sure they'll be here soon." It didn't move, however, and Twilight had to admit, she was glad of the company. "Well, okay. I just hope your trainer doesn't miss you."

But the odds of that weren't high. It wouldn't be too long a wait, Twilight was sure.

"Applebloom did?" Well, that explained why she hadn't heard from the little filly. "How's... how's Applejack taking that?"

Fluttershy glanced downward, trying to think of how to best word it.

"Well I can't disagree with that. A filly so young shouldn't be out doing something so dangerous. But still..." At least having her around, they'd know for sure she was alright. Besides, AJ was certainly missing her family, probably more than any of the others.

She lightly took Twilight's hand, trying to lead her towards the hallway, where the rooms and beds were waiting.

She followed Fluttershy, of course. She didn't want to be out in the cold any longer than she had to. "I'll be glad to see them too... well, it hasn't been as long for me as for you girls, but still. The first thing I wanted when I woke up and realized what happened was to have you all with me."

Fluttershy offered her a smile, and headed towards the rooms she knew the girls had chosen for themselves. She even squeezed Twilight's hand tenderly, before looking around.

"Like the Everfree Forest..." Twilight mused. Actually the more she learned about this world the more it seemed like the whole world was like the Forest on a much larger scale.

Fluttershy decided that since Applejack's room was the closest, and the poor dear could use some cheering up, they went to her room first, with Fluttershy lightly knocking, though the door was already opened.

Hey, girls. Applejack laid quietly on the bed, staring at the ceiling. Jessie was happily curled up on her master's stomach, snoring peacefully as AJ stroked her neck and ears. It took her a moment to realize the duo was in her room, but once she does, she sits up slowly, as not to disturb the little Growlithe.

"Oh... howdy, Twi. I didn't think you'd be in town so soon."

Twilight followed Fluttershy into the room, her eyes going straight to the bed where she saw Applejack lying there. Her eyes run over the Growlithe, intrigued, but she'll have plenty of time to talk to AJ about the little creature later.

"Well, your friend was very helpful." She answered. "I'm going to have to actually find him in person and thank him for getting me here."

Fluttershy gave a friendly wave to Applejack, but then stepped back to give the two girls room to talk. She didn't want to hog the friendship, after all. She went quiet, just smiling, and occasionally checking the hallway for signs of the others.

Have some Luna! She coincidentally just happens to walk out of her room at this point. She puts on a smile when she catches sight of Fluttershy.

"Ah! Good afternoon(?), Fluttershy!"

Applejack gave Fluttershy a warm smile, before turning back to Twilight.

"He just got out of the hospital not too long ago. I think he took a trip over to Ecruteak, though."

Twilight sighed in disappointment, and was about to respond to AJ, when she heard another familiar voice. Surprised, she stuck her head out into the hall. "Oh! Princess Luna!" She beamed and waved at her.

Luna blinks, surprised at the rather sudden appearance of Twilight, but is quick to smile and make her way over to her.

"Ah, Twilight Sparkle! We art glad to see thou arrived to Goldenrod City safely!"

Fluttershy smiled as well, happy to have the crowd expand. She respectfully stepped back, letting Luna in, but then took her place again near the door to catch anyone else coming to or fro.
