Two Nations Walk into a Flower Shop

Who: [livejournal.com profile] ttlyahero and [livejournal.com profile] of_france
Where: Goldenrod Flower Shop
When: December 13th
Summary: After playing phone-tag for a few days and then that weekend lost to the wind of 4th Wall, America and France finally meet up to talk about many happenings.
Rating: PG, most likely
Log:

You never quite get used to waking up in a place where you didn't fall asleep.

Well, that wasn't quite right. France had gotten used to waking up in different places when traveling in a moving vehicle, driven by someone he trusted. There was still a part of France, however, that was firmly rooted in the times before trains, when riding had meant a horse and a saddle and bruises in unsightly places. Falling asleep on a horse could mean a broken neck, so it wasn't done. Camp would be made, and if you lay down to rest in one place and work up in another, you had most likely been robbed or kidnapped or both. France had had these things happen. It had never been a good thing.

Waking up on the top of the Goldenrod Department Store in the remains of a vending machine when the last he remembered he'd gone to bed in a nice hotel bed in Olivine City definitely tickled France's peculiar(ly large and obsessive) sense of paranoia. Goldenrod was not France's favorite city in Johto, not since loosing Canada here, not since he lost two other weekends besides the last here. He didn't dislike Goldenrod, though, not in the way he disliked New Bark Town, but he definitely distrusted the place a bit more than he distrusted Johto--and now this new country, Kanto--in general.

After checking into the Goldenrod City Hotel and getting his old chef's job back at the Restaurant, France turned his attention back to his 'Gear, feeling a little guilty for not doing this the day before. America and France had been playing phone tag since the middle of the week before, and it was high time that France picked the ball up again.

Sorry that I didn't contact you earlier! Have you been misplaced as well?

"Ah, sure then." Jefferson ends up wiggling in his arms a little, but it's more to get comfortable again.

That and he doesn't want to be near Adams.

Predictable, much?

It doesn't help that Adams already started growling at Marianne. America nudges him with a foot though, towards the door.
It seems to stop the growling, and when he sees his trainer smiling at him, Adams yips and starts wagging it's tail.

"Does that mean I can eat at your place?" Why yes, he does want that.

"So that's a yes?" Don't mind him while he looks pretty excited about that. Not to mention it saved him from getting food later on. He'd had a busy day so far.

Adams bolts out of the door in front when America opens the door, holding it open for France to walk through. He wasn't normally that polite, but given how much he was going to be babbling at the poor older nation all afternoon, he might as well be a little nice.

"Which way is it to the hotel anyway?" He hadn't been there, after ending up at the Breeding Center from such an early stage.

While he noticed Adams growling, he didn't notice the hostility from Marianne. Jefferson just yipped at them all anyway, rubbing it's face against America's arm for attention. Silly puppy.
