Curiousity nearly killed the dog
Who:
swishyhairflick and
tiercelet
Where: Somewhere in Route 29
When: Backdated to 8th Dec
Summary: Gwaine gets lost on Route 29, which makes life difficult for Merlin, who's looking for him.
Rating: PG for mild swearing and fantasy theme ;)
Log:
[So Merlin might've told him to stay put but Gwaine never was the one for listening to others. The only person he'd truly listened to was his mother. And with her death, his ability to be obedient to anyone took a holiday. So that was probably why Gwaine was in the middle of tall grass somewhere along Route 29 with a worn out Poochyena who had fought with at least six odd looking birds and rats.
After about the second battle, Gwaine had pretty much figured out what to do. The only thing Pooch seemed to be able to do was tackle things and howl but Gwaine worked with it. After all, he was a knight and battle strategies were no stranger to him. Pooch, with his assistance, managed to knock most of the animals out and bolt with him but there was that one case where the bird looked too menacing and Pooch looked too worn out so they both fled.
So now they were lost. No map. No clue where either of them were. And a bone-chilling wind blowing by. Poochyena was starting to look on the downside rapidly which in turn worried Gwaine. It was time to consult the box. Fumbling with all the buttons, Gwaine yelled at it hoping something went through.]
Merlin! If you're hearing this, hurry up won't you?! I'm in a place surrounded by trees on all side but one, which has tall grass! Pooch is looking bad... This wasn't really what I had in mind when I told myself I'd just have a peek around the corner... Ah, bollocks...

being merlin is suffering?
While Merlin might be slightly exasperated to find Gwaine didn't listen to him and has gone wandering off on his own, he's somewhat amused. Okay, it's more like 95% amused. Even after a year's worth of time in Johto, Merlin hasn't forgotten his friend's spontaneity and had known, somewhere deep down, that he'd most likely find New Bark Town devoid of one skilled but reckless swordsman by the time he got there. And he was right. If he has to be honest, Merlin would have been more surprised if Gwaine had actually listened.
Instead of complaining, Merlin simply gives Aland's wing a fond pat as the Charizard takes to the skies again, this time swooping above the grassy roads leading out of the town.]
Gwaine!! [Merlin cups his hands around his mouth and calls out hopefully.]
That it is. But at least he has somewhat loyal friends that love him... kinda ;D
The box didn't seem to be responding in any way but Gwaine could have sworn something was calling his name. Pooch was sound asleep so it couldn't be him. It was coming from the sky... Merlin had mentioned something about flying...]
Merlin! Is that you?! Merlin! [He could see something flying in the air. It looked like, a dragon?] Ah, this isn't good.
[Snapping a branch of a tree, Gwaine armed himself for the worst.]
