hughes 003 † wrestling
Who: Natsu and Hughes~
Where: Route 30
When: Friday the 23rd! Probably during the afternoon
Summary: Grown man and little boy wrestle.
Rating: Probably G!
Log:
It took forever to get to Route 30, especially considering the weird timeskip he'd experienced which had somehow placed Maes back into Goldenrod instead of further out to where he wanted to be. Traveling was not exactly Maes' strong suit. Sure, he'd done it back in the day as a part of military training, but... he'd since settled down, and was now a family man.
All of this rushing from place to place had been incredibly tiring. And so he'd actually taken up camp, and waited a day before calling Natsu. After all, if he was going to wrestle... he'd need his strength, right?
By Friday afternoon, he'd felt rested enough. So, he picked up his Pokegear and called Natsu.
"Ah... hey, where on Route 30 exactly are you?"

By Friday afternoon, he'd felt rested enough. So, he picked up his Pokegear and called Natsu.
"Ah... hey, where on Route 30 exactly are you?"

The pink head had long woken up and was walking, since Vivi decided to run ahead and trusted that Natsu be okay with Maes. He looked to his gear when he heard a voice and grinned seeing Maes.
"I'm near the tallest tree! Can you see it?" Had he had his fire magic, Natsu could easily make a signal for Maes to see. He couldn't wait. After a whole long month, he finally gets to have a wrestle.

Following the Hoothoot, he quickly reached the spot that Natsu had been talking about. He glanced up at the tree, still talking into his Pokegear, as he wasn't sure if Natsu could hear him from all the way up there.
"Do you just make a habit of climbing trees?" He wouldn't doubt it, honestly.
He's carrying a small box under his arms. It wasn't wrapped, because Maes didn't exactly have that much time, but it was meant for Natsu.

The pink haired boy shook his head and then said, "No! I just thought you could find me easier up here!" Considering he literally should have popped out from the green with his pink hair and red shirt.
The boy noticed the box and blinked as he jumped down to a lower branch and climbed down until he was on the ground. Curiousity took over the boy and he asked, "What's that?"
no subject
"Oh, this? It's a present actually! For you." Maes hands the box over. Inside, Natsu will find an assortment of potions for his Pokemon, as well as a small first-aid kit for himself.

When Natsu heard that the box was for him, his big eyes widened with excitement, as did many kids when given a present. Taking it from Maes, Natsu shook it and grinned when he opened it to see the many first aids. Yep he was going to need this later.
"Really? Thanks Maes!" The kid took his bookbag off and placed the present inside, in order to make room for it.
no subject
"No problems, kid! Figured they may come in handy later." He gives Natsu a wink and a broad grin. "For, you know, when I beat you into a pulp!"
no subject
His grin grew wider into a challenging one as he said, "No way! You're gonna get put into a pulp!" Natsu automatically leaped and tackled Maes to the ground.

Maes hadn't actually planned on winning, or anything, considering he was wrestling with a kid. But he was determined to put up a good fight. Still on the ground, he managed to get Natsu into an awkward headlock of sorts.
Lets see the kid get out of this one...

Natsu was surprised when Maes brought him in a headlock as Natsu tried to get out of his hold. His small hands pushing against Maes's chest to try and pull away.
Unlucky for Hughes, Natsu had stamina on his side. All it took was a couple more pushes.

Even still, he'd promised the kid a good fight, and a he would give it his all. Thankfully, Natsu was fairly small, and so after some struggling, Maes managed to free one of his arms. He used it to pry Natsu's arm from his chin.
no subject
Natsu gaped when his arm was pried his arm off, using the one that was still holding him, Natsu wrapped him in a headlock as well. Not planning on letting go as easy.
no subject
It took a little effort, but Maes managed enough momentum to flip onto his side, hoping that the sudden shift might make Natsu lose his grip.
no subject
Hah! It almost did! Natsu still held on as tight as he can get without choking the guy. The little guy was not going to lose.
no subject
For the moment, though, it did look like he was losing horribly. Now that he'd freed his hands, however, Maes was reaching up to try and loosen Natsu's grip on him. As well as trying his best to continue... rolling... just to keep Natsu distracted.
Oh man, was this the most awkward thing he'd ever done. Though, oddly fun.
no subject
His dark eyes closing as he tried to hold his grip, but Natsu felt his wrist about to snap so he let go for the moment.
Natsu rolled backwards and waved his hand a bit to put his wrist less tensed. He must have held onto Maes wrong. Natsu grinned and then said, "You are far from winning."
no subject
He grinned at Natsu's words. "You're still up for some more?"
no subject
Of course, Natsu needed one, but he wasn't going to admit that.

... and immediately tackled Natsu into a nearby patch of snow. "Payback!"
no subject
The small pinkie looked up at Maes and was crushed as he tried to flip Maes so that the man was in the snow instead. "No way! This is cold!" He tightened his scarf and began to wrestle his way out.
no subject
But before Natsu could get the upper-hand completely, Maes has grabbed both of his arms. Though, he hasn't put too much strength in that grip, so it wouldn't be too difficult to worm out.
no subject
The boy was surprised when his arms were grabbed and he tried to move to get them free. Natsu grinned and wrestled even more, as he laughed. Sucked when his strength was taken away when he came here. Or not, he would have won!
no subject
Hearing the boy laugh is rather contagious. Soon, Maes found himself laughing as well.
no subject
Natsu found himself losing strength when laughing, but he managed to try as hard as his small arms can to get free.
