[Finally taking a seat, leaning back with the biggest grin ever. He is so excited.]

Holy crap, this is gonna be awesome! Kanto, here we come!

[ Souji takes the seat right next to Yosuke, shifting a bit until he gets comfortable. While he's not as excited as Yosuke, he still has a smile on his face. ]

Kanto, just like the games, huh?

Hell yeah, man! I wonder if all the stuff that was in the games would really be there for real. [These are important thoughts and he is practically bouncing with excitement.]

[He's not actually doing so, but the gleam in his eyes implies that he would if he didn't think it would make him look like a fool.]

What kind of things were in the games?

[ Fill Souji with knowledge! ]

Uh... tons of stuff. [Tilting his head and looking up as he things.] A lot of it's like here - Gyms and Pokémon Centers and Marts and stuff. They have a department store and a game corner, too.

[And then. The thing he wants most comes to mind.] Oh, and the bike path! It's pretty much a giant downhill route that they don't let you on without a bike. And it's awesome. We totally gotta check it out when we get there...

[ Now, that last part grabs a pause from Souji, tensing up a bit. ]

You want to go biking, in the winter?

DEPARTMENT STORE ROOFTOP | 12/28 | CLOSED

[Opening the door to the roof and spotting the vending machines. He's definitely giving Souji a satisfied look right now.]

I knew it! Told you man, I knew they'd be here. We should get something warm to drink.

[tarotcards]

[ He walks onto the roof, looking around. ]

Just like Goldenrod's department store. It's pretty amazing. [ Looking over to the vending machines now and pulling out his wallet from his back pocket. He peers inside the coin compartment. ] I think I've got enough for a drink. What'cha want?

Yeah, but neither of them has nearly as much as Junes, huh? [He laughs a little, rubbing his nose, which is quickly turning red from the cold air. He pulls his Jiraiya (Persona-kind) hat over his head more, making sure it covers his ears.] Doesn't matter, just something warm's fine with me.

Junes is a completely different story. It's even bigger than some of the stores in the city. [ And that's saying something. ]

[ He walks over to one of the vending machines and looks at the selections before putting the coins in, picking his choice. He puts his wallet back into his back pocket while the machine fills up a cup. He opens the compartment and takes the cup, holding it out to Yosuke. ] It's hot chocolate. Figure that we've had enough coffee back in Johto to have any more.

Hehe, I didn't think I'd see you get anything but coffee. You were turning into a younger Dojima-san, dude. [He shivers as he takes the cup, laughing a little as he holds it to his face.]

This place really doesn't screw around in the winter, huh? I guess that's why the store's so crowded at this time of day though.

CYCLING ROAD

ROUTE 16 | 12/29 | OTA

[ Standing at the top of the hill, Souji looks down Route 17, the Cycling Road, and nervously swallows. He looks behind him towards Yosuke, trying not to seem as nervous as he is. ]

Are you sure you really want to do this?

[skillspanner]

[Yosuke's walking the rented bike, holding the handlebars and shifting a bit to adjust the guitar case on his back. Who's excited? Yosuke's excited!]

Hell yeah, dude! I uh... just need you to do me a favor on the way. N-not a big one, but... yeah.

[ Oh jeez, Souji is so unsure, but he's going to try and be a good boyfriend and partner... ]

Sure, what is it?

[skillspanner]

[He stops walking, letting go of the handlebars and propping the bike against his hip. Yosuke shifts, moving to pull the case off his back and holding it out towards Souji.]

I need to you hold this.

[tarotcards]

Yeah, I can do that. [ Souji shifts the duffle bag on his shoulder a bit before taking the case into his hands. ]

Still can't believe that you've actually brought it with you to Kanto.

FUCHSIA CITY

[ After that whole trip down the cycling path with lots of screaming, Souji has gone out to fetch some food. After thirty minutes, he comes back with some bento. ]

Yosuke, still awake?

[skillspanner]

[It's been a long time since he's ridden a bike for that long, so everything just kind of... hurts. He's laying on the bed, sprawled out with his eyes closed.]

Yeah... [A tired sigh.] That route's a hell of a lot longer then I thought... urgh...

[tarotcards]

[ He takes a seat on the edge of the bed, placing the bag of bento beside him. ]

Think you can sit up to eat, or do you need a bit longer to rest?

[skillspanner]

Just.... start eating without me. [Barely opening his eyes, not that he can really see Souji from the angle he's laying at.]

I think you crushed my insides on the way heeere. Urk...

Sorry. Guess I was pretty nervous. [ More like really nervous... ]

[ He pulls out the small boxes from the plastic bag and opens one of them. While breaking the wooden chopsticks in half, he gets an idea!! ] Yosuke, I'm going to sit you up, alright?
