hands on a piano.
Who:
ieyasachu and
bewilding
Where: Goldenrod City.
When: Backdated to December 25th!
Summary: Judith being Judith, Ieyasu being Ieyasu. One-half dense, the other half wistful. Guess who's who.
Rating: PG!!
Log:
[ it was christmas.
to say judith had frequently celebrated christmas was a bit of a lie. to say she didn't frequently celebrate christmas was an understatement, mainly because... well, she wasn't familiar with it. and she hadn't exactly had people to celebrate it with, even if she had known.
it was different now, though. it's why she's on her wailord, outside of a certain someone's window, donned in a rather festive looking christmas hat and usual outfit. she's kind of glad this holiday came along now. it gave her a distraction from things like raven's departure.
she had to admit that it felt a little more lonely.
but enough about that. time to knock nicely on a certain someone's window. in her other hand was a bag, with a present and... the jacket she had forgotten to return. ]

You could always tell me to meet you outside.
[Nonetheless, he figures it's rather chilly out- and so he offers her a hand as well to help her inside.]
no subject
[ now, after that comment, judith's taking ieyasu's offered hand almost immediately after he extends it, coming into the room quickly enough. she dusts herself off for a moment before returning her wailord back into it's pokéball... and then she's turning back to ieyasu, her hand on her hat.
... oh, right. ]
Merry Christmas. [ it's the rare time she's said that, but it felt nice. ]
no subject
And Merry Christmas to you too, Judith.
But really... I wish you wouldn't insist on doing things the hard way. I hate feeling as though I make you do all the work.
no subject
she leans her head in the direction of the window. ]
You should try it sometime. [ and she's actually quite serious about that, though she kind of sounds like she's joking. ]
no subject
Are we taking a walk today then?
no subject
she just nods. ]
Maybe a run, too.
no subject
However he turns back to her and tilts his head.]
Will you be alright in the cold? Do you need a scarf?
[He's actually successfully forgotten he's already loaned her things.]
no subject
but she does lift the jacket up in her other hand. ]
How's this? [ except she doesn't really mean that she'd wear it, since she doesn't actually need it... but somehow she feels like ieyasu would end up worrying if she didn't. ]
no subject
He smiles and nods.]
I used to have one just like that! I'm glad you came prepared though.
no subject
that's going to get a chuckle. ]
It's yours.
no subject
He blinks then, sitting on the windowsill.]
Ah, so that's where it went.
... well, I guess that makes sense.
no subject
[ so this conversation didn't go the way she expected it to. which was more fun, of couse, because if ieyasu was predictable it wouldn't be the same.
but she's still a little bit. well. not surprised but amused that he forgot his own jacket. ]
I hope you don't mind my spiriting it away.
no subject
No, not at all. I really hardly even noticed it was gone! A number of my clothes seem to be pulling a disappearing act...
[read: he gives them away and proceeds to totally forget]
You're actually welcome to keep it if you'd like, Judith. I'd hate to take away what I've already essentially given.
no subject
how cute. but she won't mention it. ]
If it's all disappearing, I don't think it's such a good idea to keep it.
no subject
[He holds up both hands defensively. He's... probably not going to stand for taking it back, Judith.
In fact, he sheepishly rubs the back of his neck.]
If I'm losing it all... well, I'm rather certain I probably won't take good care of it. I'm sure it'll be safer in your hands, Judith. I trust you to use it as you see fit.
no subject
[ she won't push that at all, anyway. she lifts the jacket again to look at it for a moment, before placing her bag down and putting the jacket on. as an amused afterthought, she thinks that hayate would be pleased.
it's a little big for her, like before, but that's fine. ]
no subject
A tilt of his head.]
Shall we go then?
no subject
First to jump?
no subject
[He flies around on a Gundam, he's got this.
So it's a glance over and... well, he's rather glad that he and Mitsunari didn't pick a room in any of the higher stories.
But besides that, he jumps out of the building, at least careful about landing on his feet and reaching out to a windowsill as he approached ground level to keep him from landing too hard.
And then he moves back a bit, but you can bet he'll be quick to catch her if she needs it.
... though from what he knows about Judith, he doubts she'll need it.]
no subject
falling off heights? no big deal... usually. but she's not worried now. she's careful that the bag is steady before she leaps off. does ieyasu need to catch her?
... nope. she lands perfectly well, crouched on her feet. just what she was used to back home.
finishing it off with a casual rise to her feet. no problem at all. ]
no subject
Nonetheless, he grins and shoves his hands in his pockets (these are genius inventions, he really should've followed Motochika's lead a long time ago) and chuckles.]
Where are we off to?
no subject
Hm. [ it's good that judith's quick on her feet. a small glance around gives her only one idea--which is to walk past ieyasu and to a snow bank.
she's picking up snow between her hands and... rolling it into a ball. other than that, though, she offers no explanation and does her best to keep what she's doing hidden from her companion. ]
no subject
... can I help somehow?
[Though he's not sure what she's doing. At all.]
no subject
... which is why she turns around when she's done and throws it in his direction.
react fast, ieyasu. she is completely expecting you to. ]
no subject
.... wait-]
... oops. Reflexes.
[He laughs sheepishly before glancing over at Judith with an arched brow.]
I take it that was no accident.
[He's willing to play if you are, Judith.]
no subject
[ and there's her answer. she almost moves to make another snowball, but she'd already ambushed ieyasu once so... maybe waiting for his consent was more appropriate. either way, he'd blocked it.
she'd kind of be disappointed if he didn't though, so she's not too upset. ]
You reacted well, either way.
no subject
The battlefield is a nice place to learn a few things...
[But here, he'll make the move to make another snowball as well. A bit of friendly snowball fighting sounded alright with him.]
no subject
That's true.
[ --before she goes on to snowball building. as... quickly as possible, because she's the competitive sort. sorry, ieyasu, but she's not planning to lose. ]
no subject
It's not like he's got any plans of surrender either. So as soon as his snowball's all set, he'll be turning it quickly and throwing it at her.
... He can only do this because his conscience is free knowing that she's wearing his jacket and that'll keep her from getting too cold.]
no subject
TAKING IT LIKE A MAN, Ieyasu! ]
no subject
... and now he's got the bright idea for a snow fort.
BRING IT ON, JUDITH.]
no subject
--too bad judith is a fan of head on assault, so she's putting down her bag with his present into a kind of safe corner... and then using both hands to fling as many snowballs as she can make at him with all her might. even if he's building.
no mercy, okok. ]
no subject
NAH HE'S GOOD.
except when one hits him near the eye-]
Gah!
[but other than that, he's satisfied with his fort and he ducks behind it to return fire]
no subject
... you know what, judith's just going to approach it like a toyotomi. with one whole snowball. even if she's getting some thrown at her. ]
