Log:

He didn't know how it was possible for the Ilex forest to get any darker than it was in the daytime, but, sure enough, the place had become almost pitch black once the sun set...or at least when his Pokegear had told him it set. Very thankful for his flashlight, Danny found himself a clear enough area, and, with Cujo's help, started a fire and set up his tent.

After feeding the rest of his Pokemon, (Jaws also ate half of a nearby berry bush), Danny was settling in for the night. His Pokemon were asleep in their balls, the fire was dying out, and he was just about to get into his sleeping bag, when the first one drifted into his campsite.
"Floooon?" the purple balloon cried, inspecting the embers of the fire, and the half eaten berry bush.
"Huh? Oh, a Pokemon?" Danny wondered aloud. He fumbled for his Pokedex, not taking notice of the two identical balloon Pokemon that had now joined the first. Danny pointed the Pokedex at the Pokemon, getting an identification.

"Drifloon, the balloon Pokemon." the computerized voice chirped out. Danny watched the screen, not noticing at all as more and more Drifloon floated into the area.
"It is whispered that any child who mistakes Drifloon for a balloon and holds on to it could wind up missing..."
"Psh, yeah, right." Danny snorted in response to the entry. He lazily tossed the Pokedex back into his tent. That is when he noticed that the single Drifloon had now become many. Startled at first, but, he thought to himself, they probably just have a food source around here is all. Danny wasn't about to question it. If you didn't want to lose your mind, you tended to not question much in the world of Pokemon.
"Whatever." he sighed, kicking off his shoes and making for the tent.

Just as he was about to slip into the tent, and his sleeping bag, there was a tug on his arm. One of the Drifloon had wrapped it's arm strings around Danny's arm. The rest of the group, which had been drifting about, were now gathered tightly around the tent, and they were all staring at Danny!
"The heck's the matter with-" Danny was cut off mid sentence, as the entire horde swarmed him!
"AUUUUUGH!" he screamed. "FLOOOOOON!" the Drifloon cried in unison. They began to rise up into the air...carrying Danny!
"Lemme go! Put me down!" he shouted, struggling against the balloons' surprising grip. They had wrapped their arms around all of his limbs, and most of his middle as well. Danny kicked hard, and managed to shake a few Drifloon off. He tried to hook his leg on some passing tree branches as the Pokemon carried him higher, but, his leg simply slipped off. The Drifloon he had shaken off soon returned to claim their spots regardless.

Danny continued to fight against the Drifloon as they rose higher and higher into the night sky. In his struggles, Cujo's pokeball came loose, and fell to the forest floor, releasing the sleepy Houndoom when it hit.
"CUJO!" Danny yelled. Lazily looking to the source of the yell, Cujo snapped wide awake when he saw his master being carted off by balloons!
"Do something! Anything! Just get me down!!!" Danny frantically shouted to his pokemon. Cujo ran along the ground to build up some speed, then jumped from tree branch to branch to get enough height, and, when he was just about level with the mass of Drifloon, let out a mighty Flamethrower! The Drifloon holding Danny's arms and torso were either hit or scared away, leaving Danny hanging by his legs, and losing altitude fast. Cujo, having fallen back down to the ground, raced to keep up with the Drifloon still struggling to spirit Danny away, as, Danny scrambled to keep the rest of his Pokeballs from falling, grabbing the occupied ones and some spares as they fell.

Cujo burst from between some trees and grabbed the collar of Danny's shirt in his mouth. The Drifloon pulled, and Cujo pulled back. Thanks to the Houndoom's strength, nearly all the rest of the Drifloon either gave up, or ran out of energy and fell, fainted to the ground. Shortly, only one remained, completely unwilling to give up.
"Get lost!" Danny shouted, angrily throwing the closest thing he had, an empty Pokeball at it, hitting it squarely between the eyes. The ball opened up, drew the Drifloon into it, and fell down, shaking. It shook once, twice, three times, and finally, clicked as the Pokemon was successfully caught!

Both Danny and Cujo sat on the ground for a long time in shock, staring at the Pokeball containing Danny's new Drifloon.
"What...did I just do...?" Danny asked, Cujo moaning a confused "Dooooooom..." in reply.
