Who: Hershel Layton and Claire Folly
Where: The Cherrygrove Pokémon Center
When: February 10th
Summary: SPOILERS.......
Rating: G for greatly fluffy but also kind of sad yes.
Log:
[ It had been awhile since she's arrived in Cherrygrove (an hour at most, maybe), even though she said she would call right away. She's understandably nervous, after all. Goodness she feels just like a teenager again...
Sighing, she walks her way to the Pokémon Center. Really, it shouldn't feel as bad as it does. She knows she should be avoiding him--that continuing to see him will only end badly for Layton. But on the opposite side, she's in love with the man. She misses him. She selfish, but she loves him. Claire sighs once again, on approaching the center, and whips out her phone, dialing his number, and pressing the object to her ear.
If anything, it would stop him from worrying. Which he was undoubtedly doing.
She smiles, absentmindedly. Old habits never die. ]

Hershel, I'm here.
I don't think you've put enough SPOILERS all over the place
[ Despite that though, he's not sure if he can say his goodbyes just yet. He doesn't want to say it. He wants that unwound future they've planned for, but is that even possible when they're living in a world they don't belong in? They all have to leave sooner or later. No one is an exception, no matter how much they want to stay. It's simply foolish to really believe in it, especially as a man who doesn't believe in fairy tales, but is it so bad that he wants it? ]
[ He jumps off his Charizard and returns it to its Pokeball. Ah, Cherrygrove. It has truly been a long time since he has been here, arriving in August of two years ago. It's almost nostalgic to arrive back and see the little town. ]
[ As his gear rings, he picks it up. So it seems like Claire has already arrived. Suppose he's a bit late. ]
I will be there in a few minutes.
[ And like he has said, it only takes him that long to locate the Pokemon Centre and as he spots Claire, his chest tightens. To really see her again like this, in person, it's simply just a great mixture of emotions. He's joyful to see her once again but also terribly dreadful that this will never happen in their own world, back in London. He tries to keep those emotions down as he straightens his top hat, both out of nervousness and to show that he has, indeed, kept the hat she has given him in perfect condition, and approaches. ]
Claire.
should i add more
In truth, she can feel her heart pounding loudly in her chest. She knew that would happen--for it happens every time she sees the love of her life, so why would it be any different? Her palms are sweaty, her cheeks blushed, her knees weak, her throat dry. Even if she wanted to say something... she can't rightfully find the voice to do it. Because Hershel is here, in the flesh. And It's been so long-- ]
Hershel.
[ She surprises herself with the confidence in her voice. And perhaps that feeling of confidence inspired her to look up, andview him in the eye. She's not scared of him, but more scared of herself: what she'll do, what she'll say, what she'll feel. Perhaps it's better to remain silent. She's not even sure what words she could possibly fathom in this situation--what to say to your long lost lover, and your unwound future together?
So rather than say anything, Claire simply reaches into the bag at her side, picking out a pokéball. She holds it tenderly in her hands for a few moments, before handing it out to him. ]
I believe this is yours.
