Summary: DAISUKE HAS TOO MANY FEELS and lets it all out with a very helpful/needed venting session with his bestest biffle.

Log: [As soon as Daisuke stepped foot into Cherrygrove he instantly shot Ken a message and made a beeline for the center. Because that's all that was there-- other than hotels. But anyways!! As he waited for his friend to show he started to think of what he should say first. Besides the usual welcome back bit. What... what would be best? He'd definitely start out small and move on to the bigger points, that was a given. As he did this his Scraggy who had been out of his ball for some time tried to cheer his trainer up by dropping his skin flap.

Well-- it worked, to an extent. Daisuke smiled softly as he looked at the fighting type pokémon.]

[he sniffles as he realizes how hard it is to keep everything at bay. and with that he bursts into tears as things come crashing down.]

N-No I'm not. What kind of p-person can call themselves a friend if they get jealous o-over something stupid li-like this.

[Ken holds him close, to let him cry into his shoulder. He'll support you. That much, he can do.]

Anything that matters to you isn't stupid. That you're worried is proof you're a friend.

[It's also very easy to envy someone you care about. But he keeps that one to himself for now.]

[he clings a little and cries even harder as he buries his face into Ken's neck/shoulder area.]

B-But why does it make me feel so horrible?

[Ken's Joltik, which had been tagging a shoulder ride, skitters around and settles for climbing up the side of Ken's head, to be sure he's out of the way. Ken stays focused on Daisuke, trying a hug as best he can.]

Because you don't think you should feel this way.

But there is no "should" in emotions, Daisuke. I've learned that.

[He pats Daisuke's back.]

You taught me.

[he does that odd hiccupy thing one does after a while of crying as he rests his head on Ken's shoulder.]

Yeah, I guess I did, huh? [and with that he pulls away and rubs a little at his eyes.] Sorry you had to see this... I just-- I guess it had been building up.

It's fine.

[Ken looks like a weight's been lifted off his shoulders too - and not just because your head's not there anymore. It really hurts to see you hurting...so if he's helped....]

We can talk anytime. About anything.

[he rubs his nose a little] Yeah, and I promise I won't let it build up like this again. I guess I just needed someone to just... talk to, but-- I dunno why I didn't go to Hikari-chan or the others. [he pauses.] I guess since we've been through a lot together I feel comfortable going to you with these sort of things... You and Taichi-senpai, but he's not here.

Ah...well...

[Daisuke felt that way about him too? Ken's twice as glad he came to Johto. Perhaps he even was summoned here because his friend needed him. Emotions connect worlds.

He almost doesn't know what to say, so he just says what's on his mind.]

[He smiles, calm and confident that you'll be fine. Believe in the Ken who believes in you.]

[he gives a small smile and nods.] Thanks dude... I kinda feel a whole lot better about this now!

[The smile becomes a grin.]

You know...I've been here over a month and I still haven't met your Pokémon. Or had a chance to practice soccer.

You might almost beat me, in this condition.

[noodlegoggles]

[he blinks.] Oh? You haven't? Well you can meet the ones I have in my party! [he looks around] Well only some of them... Noodle and Pretz might be too big for this place... I dunno...

[and with that he releases Curry the Infernape, Mint the Larvitar, and Mochi the Ekans. Sentai the Scraggy is already out and... dropping his skin flap, oh joy.]

[Ken looks around at the wide array, clearly impressed or at least not put off by Sentai; Joltik returns to his shoulder and attempts to hide in Ken's collar from the sudden influx of other Pokémon.]

You've raised this many...well, it's been a year...

[He smiles at Mint and kneels down to say hello.]

Strange...I ordered one of these Pokémon myself.

[noodlegoggles]

Heh, well, I have more! But you can only carry six with you. [he pauses and tilts his head to the side.] Oh? Which one?

Here.

[He lets his own Larvitar out of its PokéBall to say hello; it blinks, looks around, and waddles over to greet Daisuke's.]

I - have eight, actually. Two vanished, so....I know the system.

[He hopes they aren't lonely in the PC. though he's been checking up on them when he visits the center]

[Mint looks at Ken's Larvitar and shyly extends a paw.]

Woah! Really? [he blinks.] Well, technically you've got nine. 'cause of Osamu.

Osamu...?

[It takes him a moment because wow, that's the last name he'd ever expect to hear you saying. And then his mind catches up.]

--the - Butterfree?

[He named his Pokémon after...

Meanwhile, Larvitar will gladly shake paws! Maybe a little too hard, who knows. He's a friendly guy.]

Yeah? Why-- [he pauses in mid nod and blinks as he stares at Ken. Oh-- oh. Why didn't he make that connection sooner?! Man that's gotta be... what should he even say to that]

Oh... [he shuffles around awkwardly as he rubs the back of his neck.] Sorry?

[SPEAKING OF AWKWARD SHUFFLING, MINT DOES THE SAME. Because she is a very shy larvitar. woeee.]

Ah - mm.

[Ken shakes his head slightly. He doesn't want Daisuke to worry, and really, there's nothing to worry about. Just a level of awkwardness.] Anyway, yes. Nine, with them.

[Aww, Mint, don't be like that! Clearly to Ken's Larvitar, the solution is to attempt to give her a friendly pat on the back. This will fix everything.]

It's - a lot to take in! But we've been working hard.

[noodlegoggles]

[he chuckles somewhat nervously as he rubs the back of his neck.] Yeah well, at least yours all look well behaved. And they aren't tall yet to start wanting to hoist you over their shoulder.

But I'm sure you'll get there! [a beat] W-With training I mean. And them being stronger... and... yeahhh.

[Daisuke's Pokémon do all that? But it's only natural they'd be that fond of their trainer. It is Daisuke, after all.]

Mm. I'm not rushing any more.

Do you - have goals for yours?

[He wants to do the badge challenge but fff you're so far beyond him....he doesn't want to hold you back. Even though you said it was okay before.]

[he quirks his head to the side.]

Goals? Well I want to get all the badges at least.

[Ken brightens anew at that. Not only are their goals aligned, Daisuke is planning and thinking about the future. Now that he's got you cheered up and thinking positively he'd like to help keep your perspective that way!]

Ah, me too....You have some already, right?

[he nods.] Yeah! I've got... three. It's... kinda... Yeah.

[You lost him. So you get this blank, "go on" sort of stare.]

Well there are like... eight gyms or so here in Johto, and there are eight or so in Kanto. And I've been here for a year and only have three? It's kind of... frustrating.
