Who: Yuugi & Bakura
Where: National Park, near
When: Today, Mid-Evening
Summary: A couple days into the trek to lower levels, two-thirds of the Card Game household are somewhere between level building and nightly rests. (Let's Watch!)
Rating: D for Dreams
Log:
"Come on, Shin. You should take a rest..."
The small Riolu, near stumbling after his latest battle, looks up at his trainer. He was exhausted, even after some fresh water, and the back up of Bakura's Pokémon. Even if he was the strongest of Yuugi's team right now, he wasn't used to wilds this strong...
But instead of tucking the reserved Pokémon back in his ball, as he usually might, Yuugi picked him up, allowing Senzai to question his state from his other arm. Whatever Shin's answer, Yuugi didn't pay much mind, talking to his travel companion and friend as he looked back at the finely-designed grass behind them.
"Hey Bakura-kun, do you think we'll be okay sleeping this close by? Out on the route road was one thing, but here..."
Reason 1 for not skipping early stages of Johto: not used to sleeping in the wild.

[Still, he'll be happy to thank them for the effort! Sounds like boring work, after all, so he grins up at the ghosts, before stopping at an appropriate area for camping.
Laughing as Momo immediately grabs for the backpack he plops on the ground after Senzai and Shin.]
Okay okay, I'm unpacking...
Do you need help, Bakura-kun?

And he sets his bag down near by]] Maybe a little setting up the tent... Since it's cold, I brought the double so everyone can share and keep warmer together. It's a bit trickier than a single to set up!
oh whoops I slipped into brackets! Dx
[That gives a questioning look, but since Momo has taken out the carefully black and red egg in his bag (and will be going for a certain wax egg on Bakura, so watch out), he's free to dig in there and pull out the things needed for tonight.]
Sure! You might have to show me how, but I can help. I will have to warn you though-
[He leans in towards Bakura, holding up a hand to keep this from the Growlithe, making a playful pounce on a "crying" Senzai, to Shin's amusement.]
Isami kicks.
and I followed on reflex :D
gerp... I shall master this habit! >O
Don't you know this white shirt under his jacket is the Super Nerd top? Can't you tell the difference? Oh, never mind, he needs to look down and grin to reassure Bakura.
"Don't worry. I can ask her to give it back, but she did the same thing with my first eggs, and they all seem fond of her for it."
Especially Junko, who's currently trailing busy Momo in a 'Can I help?' manner, never far. But she does let Yuugi scratch her bunny ear as he goes by, on his way to helping Bakura out.
"Oh, he's always at the foot of my bed. I think he just chases stuff in his sleep. He kicks me, and I jump- I hope I don't end up headbutting you or something...
ganbatte!
"As long as she's careful with it," Bakura smiled. "Though it's really nice that she cares about them so much. Amane-chan... when she had her first clutch of eggs, she didn't want anything to do with them, and she was always so jealous of any eggs I was hatching. She was pretty jealous of everyone for a while..." he admitted.
"And don't worry about any headbutting! If I can sleep through Gollum crawling into my sleeping bag, I can sleep through anything!" he laughed.
Hai!
"...well..." Yuugi might be holding up a pole - or whatever he needs to - but he'll be looking to Momo as he does, considering.
"I think that might be partly their types? I mean, Momo just really loves eggs. But, even if not, it sounds like Amane-chan's definitely fond of you."
...and excuse him as he makes a face, double checking in his head that Gollum isn't here, before giving a 'what can you do' shrug.
"Good- I'm all for keeping warm together, but it's important you get your rest too, right? We're going to be doing a lot more walking... right?"
no subject
"Un, quite a lot! You get used to it after a while, though!" Bakura smiled as he helped with the tent poles. "And Makura's really good for helping with sleep! She lives up to her appearance!" he grinned as if at a joke.
no subject
"Aaaah, I think it might take me a bit longer, too- I don't have to bring up track, do I?"
Short short legs on the nonathletic, put it together. But Bakure, is he set on keeping his chin up, because there it goes again to look at Makura!
"...yeah, I can see it. But what's she do exactly?"
no subject
He smiled over at the hovering tapir shaped pokemon with a smile. "You know the stories of baku spirits, right? She does similar."
no subject
But, Bakura's Munna? That's still on the iffy list, given Yuugi's eying before he comes around for the tent cover.
"Sure, I know about them, but... I never paid that much attention. If she... eats dreams, what does that mean?"

That's not a bad thought, in and of itself. And leaning up some to get a better look at Makura-
"I didn't think of that as a big deal, catching dreams... But I guess it can't hurt."

(to continue-) Cool! Shall we move on on the log or post?
Whatever works? What time/date/whatever that going to be on anyway?
Here works for me! (On a new line, I guess.) And given Mareep catch.. anywhere from the 16th to now?

March 16th - Sprout Tower
Yuugi looked up the tall pagoda, awed by the immensity if nothing else. He'd seen it from afar the first time through, of course, but that's not the same as standing right under it...
But he wasn't fond of staying there, either. The gas that filled the town recently weighed on his mind, so after glancing Bakura's way, he'll be toting Togepi through the door, Isami at his heel (Until he has to take a 'herding Bakuto back' sidebar).
"I think she'll have an easy time with the ones at this level, but I guess I can practice giving Bakuto guidance, and see what's here."

That could be a help or a letdown, depending how he considered it. But his glance back to decide by whether he looked happy to go, has Yuugi slowing down just a few paces inside.
"Is something wrong? -you didn't see anything out of place out there, did you?

Yuugi gives Bakura a considering stare, like he's uncertain what to say, until a small grin manages to form.
"So, you arrived near the same time, too? Huh... I've been really lucky to have you here to help me, but what's it like traveling with someone who's on the same page?"

The confession there wass more than a little helpful, thank you-
"Of course it's not! It's always better to have friends around, especially when you're going through something like that."

*stares at typos* ....wow, I should eat something.
But, now that he's past some npc visitors, Yuugi's looking up in surprise. "Wow... This place looks like some historical site back home!" Except, with a shaking beam in the middle.
