Log: [ You'd think that with all of the things Misaki has to worry about, she'd be complaining about suddenly being teleported to Saffron City. One minute she was trying to make room for her new Pokemon egg, the next she wound up in front of Saffron's PokeCenter. She's always fed up with Johto's weird antics, but this time, she's not complaining. She's just... confused, standing in front of the Center like a fool, her arms wrapped around the egg.

It doesn't take her more than a minute to figure out that, oh hey, there's a train station, remember!! And though she still has some trauma from the train incident that occurred months ago, she's got to get back to Johto somehow. She picks her bag off of the ground and starts to make way for the station. ]

[Unfortunately for Misaki, it's not going to be an easy walk back to the train station. Johto is chaotic on the best of days, and today is...not one of those days. Not with people getting teleported around like a child throws his balls about.

Perhaps laughably, however, one of those people is Hitsugaya, who's been forced out of Hermitville for the day....and is getting dropped from a teleport about three feet above Misaki's head. She might want to watch out because he hasn't quite seen her in time to warn her he's about to fall right in front of her.]

[ And before she can even blink, Misaki's down on on the ground, her egg rolling out of her grasp as a throbbing pain overcomes her senses. Never before did she think that the phrase "the sky is falling" would become literal- well, at least it seems that way- because she's too disoriented to pay mind to what exactly fell on her to begin with. ]

[The good news? Hitsugaya's only 62 pounds, possibly lighter due to his stay in Johto. The bad news? 62 pounds is still heavy, no matter how fast it gets off of a person to make sure said person is alright....And tug her off the ground once he realizes who she is.]

Ayuzawa? What are you doing here?

[ Still heavy, no matter what. It's amazing that she didn't break her back or anything... And when she feels something grip her arm, pulling her up from the ground, she wobbles back onto her feet, her head throbbing--

But she hears that voice and, somehow, her senses have returned. ]

H-Hitsugaya?!

[Well. At least she's not broken or anything. That's a plus, even if she practically just yelled in his ear which makes him back up a step.]

You sound surprised.

Well- i-it's not everyday someone comes crashing down on my head like that!!

[ Not broken, but her head's definitely throbbing. Ouch. ]

Given everything else that's happened, do you honestly not know to look up by now?

[Blunt as ever, isn't he? Ah, well, that'll change in a bit, because once he's sure she's not going to topple over, he goes and picks up her egg. Seems to be okay...and yes, he's handing it back to her.]

You think I would've seen that coming?!

[ Sigh, he's impossible. But her irritation disperses once he hands over her egg. She grabs it almost instantly, inspecting it for any damages- thankfully, it's safe and sound. She secures a grip on it and looks at Hitsugaya with a relieved expression. ]

Thank you.

[He's about to say something along the lines of "you would have if you'd looked!", but he only makes a "hmm" sound instead and shifts his weight. This is only the second time they've met face to face, but she should be able to tell that something is bugging him. Something that may be rather important, if the fact that he's actually fidgeting means anything, but he...doesn't say a word.

Yeeep. He's impossible.]

[ Yeah, from the moment he doesn't retaliate, she could tell that something's up. There's an awkward silence- usually between them, there are no silences, though she could imagine that any other silence wouldn't be too bad- and it makes raise an eyebrow in confusion. ]

...Hitsugaya?

[She'll have to sit on that confusion for another minute, because someone has to walk himself through actually doing it before he looks away with a quiet sigh, looking so far from his normal behavior that it's ridiculous.]

I need to apologize to you.

...Eh?

[ Okay, this leaves her legitimately confused. Apologize for what-- okay, wait, Hitsugaya apologizing? What kind of dream is this? ]

[It's not a dream, Misaki. So not a dream...though her confused noise does make him wonder if she hit her head after that fall and so he looks back at her. Best to just say it, really.]

The argument we had several weeks ago. I said some harsh things and I need to apologize for that.

[Misaki, you are getting what barely anyone else ever does. Yes, he means what he's saying. No, he's not looking you in the eyes...he's too short for that.]

I'm sorry.

[ Yes, she did hit her head, but it doesn't mean that she's totally out of it. She's still in a bit of a daze, but it doesn't detract from his words.

That argument was so long ago and she wasn't expecting him to apologize for it... Not that he needed to. She didn't think he did anything wrong. So... give her a moment or two to process all this information, Hitsugaya. ]

[ And when she does, she can't help but make way for a small smile. She's touched- really, she is- because she knows how hard this must be for him, judging by his body language.

So she decides to rest her hand on the top of his head and lightly ruffle his head, a small chuckle escaping her lips. ]

Stupid.

[Oh, she can have all the moments she needs. It's not like he's good at this so it's hard and he wonders if he did it wrong and if there's something else he needs to say but then--

Then she ruffles his hair and says that of all things. Really? Was he that bad at it?]

Do you say that to everyone who tries to apologize to you?

You didn't have to apologize.

[ And yet, her smile isn't going away and it won't anytime soon. She doesn't want to discredit him or anything for apologizing, but she thinks it's funny that it'd been on his mind. He didn't seem like the type who would think about these things too deeply, but... she appreciates it. Really, Hitsu. orz ]

But... thanks.

[Didn't have to, sure. Didn't need to? That jury is still out...at least, according to him. But it's done and, well, now he's not sure what to do. Other than gently move out from under her hand and nod. Still not good with people, this one.]

Don't expect it to happen often.

[ Her hand moves to her hips as she stares down at him, still impressed by his gesture. It feels nice to be able to see this side of him... a side that, presumably, many people don't see. ]

Heh. I wouldn't want it any other way.

[ And really, she wouldn't. Because then he wouldn't be... Hitsugaya. ]

[The number of people who have seen this side of him, including Misaki, can be counted on one hand, and there would still be fingers left over on said hand.]

You may regret saying that one day.

[Does he mean that? Maybe. Either way, he'll just be turning towards the train station. She was going somewhere, probably...]

You headed back?

Just as pessimistic as ever, even on a day like this... [ It's said under her breath, but he might be able to hear it. ]

Yeah, I was just looking for-- [ Oh. Wait. ] Crap! That's right! How did I get here in the first place?!

[Oh, he hears it alright. He hears it loud enough that he's contemplating giving her a look, but then...yeow. Still got good lung capacity, don't you.]

I'm willing to guess the same way I fell onto you. Something brought you here and left you to figure out a way back yourself.

[Doesn't seem all that concerned, does he?]

The train to Goldenrod's still open, right? I'll just board the next train and-

[ She still sounds frantic, but she pauses once she remembers the train incident. The trauma's still getting to her, and it'll probably stick with her for a while more. In any case, it should be Hitsugaya's turn now to figure out that something's not settling with her. ]

[He nods at her first question, having never known the train to stop running, but then she pauses. He hasn't known her for very long, sure, but he does know that Misaki Ayuzawa isn't the kind of girl to just stop like that. She can't still be hung up on the incident...can she?]

...You don't want to board the train, do you?

[ She didn't think she was, because all this time she had it in the back of her mind- but every time the prospect of riding the train comes up, her old feelings resurface and-- ]

Eh? [ Yeah, just gonna play dumb on this one. ] It's nothing. Don't worry about it.

[And they broadside her. He can understand that, but running away won't help. So he'll just shrug, arms crossing over his chest as he looks up at her.]

You don't sound very sure about that.

[ Thankfully, the V-day effects are alleviating Misaki's temper, and she'll respond to that rather calmly. If it were any other day, she probably would have gotten defensive, but... not today. ]

It's fine, Hitsugaya.

[Every other day would have had him pressing the issue. But today, with that song...well, if she wants to say it he'll listen, but there won't be any forcing of the issue.]

If you're sure.

[Now he gestures to the station; there aren't many people around at the moment so getting on with no one seeing her shouldn't be too hard.]

You'd better go. The train may still be running, but it leaves at certain times. I doubt you want to spend the next twelve hours waiting here for it to come back.
