Who: ANYONE
Where: ANYWHERE
When: May 25th - May 27th
Summary: A MASS MINGLING POST
Rating: What are ratings
Log:

[Anywhere in Johto, there are people interacting. Some of these strangers interacting with other strangers. In short, this is The Ultimate Mingling post, where everyone can run into each other. Primarily for those in the fourth wall who run into another oddball from some other mythical land who's going "What's this place?" just like them, but for everyone who wants to just continue going nuts.

And yes, please, go nuts.

Yeah, I did.

[Getting his aloof on, here.]

I wanted to see if you got any different information.
livesforthegame: (DISMISS ☆ sorry too busy being fabulous)

[Oh. Okay, well, that's...understandable, she guesses. Grudgingly.]

They call it Johto. This half of the nation, at least. There's another region to the east called Kanto, which suggests this all might be located somewhere in Japan. [Pause.] Except it's not.

[Oh, good, that means she knows not to settle with just one piece of information.]

No, it's not.

[Not any kind of Japan he'd have imagined, anyway.]

But that might not be important right now. I'm more interested in how we got here to begin with.
livesforthegame: (LOLQUE ☆ are you kidding me right now)

The architecture is wrong, the language is wrong, the climate is wrong...

[Evidently she's had that penchant for showing off all her life, even though it comes through with a bit less finesse in her younger years.]

People seem to think it's some kind of teleportation, but besides being top-secret, the technology for that is only still in the design stages. It shouldn't be ready for years.

[And he catches it as showing off, too, and there's a hint of a frown. Mostly because he's thinking, though. Last he heard there was no such thing as teleportation, so he looks skeptical.]

Many years. That's science fiction.
livesforthegame: (SMIRK ☆ like a woman of action)

[Hm. He didn't take the bait, when she'd made sure to mention the part about it being top secret — mostly to see if he'd try to inquire further, or call her on her own secrets. He's either very good, or he's oblivious.]

It's science. Whether or not it's fiction is just a matter of time.

[It's more that coming with a claim that seems more or less impossible makes the implied I-know-things lose credibility.]

[He can't argue with that, by the way, but he will remain skeptical.]

That's probably true. But doesn't exactly help our situation.
livesforthegame: (DEDUCE ☆ didn't even need a bottle)

[My situation, she thinks a little stubbornly, which the rational part of her knows isn't what he was getting at when he said "our", that he meant it in general as opposed to referring to the two of them specifically as some kind of unit, but still. It bristles a little, and that bristling part of her wants to maintain that separateness, that distinction.

She takes care of herself, and this guy isn't her partner.

...which is a shame, because the thought of Suhara gives her a sudden, surprising pang of wishful emotion. It sure would be nice if he were here right now.]

"Eliminate the impossible, and whatever is left, no matter how improbable, must be the truth." So what can you eliminate about how you got here?
