You know what this is, right?
Who: Ryuunosuke Uryuu (
greatestcool), Peacock (
avianweapon), and Solf J. Kimblee (
explosivecombat)
Where: Goldenrod City, Team Rocket base
When: June 26, evening
Summary: A serial killer, a cartoon-obsessed kid, and a mad bomber walk into a bar... In other words the three finally meet in person and discuss Things.
Rating: PG...? PG-13 possibly?
Log:
[Ryuunosuke had never liked waiting. Oh sure, he had to do it quite a bit if he wanted to score the perfect victim, but that didn't mean he liked it. He'd had to wait for quite some time for Kimblee to arrive in the Team Rocket base, and then one thing had led to another and he'd gotten side-tracked doing menial things like working. Whoops. He'd finally contacted Kimblee and arranged a meeting between the three of them - Kimblee would finally meet Peacock, the girl Ryuunosuke had (pardon the pun) taken under his wing. She was a fascinating kid and one who seemed to genuinely enjoy being a part of Team Rocket. While he hadn't revealed just what he'd been doing back home, Ryuunosuke felt comfortable enough to talk about his actions here in Johto with her. She knew that he was behind the most recent attack on civilians and she knew he wasn't behind the others. He hadn't told her of Kimblee's involvement simply because it wasn't his right to do so. If Kimblee wanted to tell her then hey, cool. It was no big loss if he didn't.]
[But sitting here now (making good use of one of those office swivel chairs by spinning around like a child), Ryuunosuke wasn't entirely sure whether he was actually eager or anxious for the two to meet. What if Peacock didn't live up to Kimblee's expectations? He'd be upset with him. That would certainly be a shame; Ryuunosuke didn't want to upset Kimblee. Kimblee had practically adopted Ryuunosuke at this point - or rather, Ryuunosuke had latched onto Kimblee as some sort of demented mentor-figure. Same thing, right?]
[Anyway, the two of them should arrive soon. Ryuunosuke stops spinning the chair and grasped at the desk, marvelling as the world around him kept spinning. Yes, he's still just as easily amused as ever.]

Still, this meeting? This sounded like something that could lead to even more fun events happening around the joint; Peacock wasted no time trying to get there fashionably early, walking with her usual swagger as she got to the meeting point. None of her Pokemon were with her; this was gonna be serious business, after all.
Peacock got there first, grinning at Ryuunosuke when she saw him; that looked like a hell of a lot of fun.] Havin' fun spinning right round like a record there, Uryuu?
[The question's just a simple one to poke a little fun, before she leans against the nearest wall; now, where was this friend suppose to be? She couldn't help feeling excited, mostly due to Ryuunosuke's description of him...]

He doesn't think of them as subordinates, exactly. Juniors, more like.
Either way, he's punctual, as he always is when it comes to matters of business; upon approaching the door, it was promising to hear someone else inside the room, other than Ryuunosuke. The voice was higher-pitched, decidedly female; most likely Peacock - Kimblee didn't exactly know what he was supposed to be expecting, with a name like that in question. As long as she didn't drop the bombshell that she was quite literally avian back home, and wasn't in the habit of calling people "everybirdie" or something equally ridiculous - really, "everypony" was weird enough from some of the people around here - they would likely be fine.
Otherwise, he would have to bite back the urge to send her to Gorthan for a little chat while he tried to convince his brain to do something that wasn't...cry, or whatever it was Archer said it tended to do when he had no idea what to do with something.
His mannerisms were brisk when he entered the room, however, the tails of that long white overcoat sweeping in after him; he was dressed in the usual white suit and fedora, as opposed to anything openly Team Rocket-affiliated, and he was quick to take in a brief assessment of the room - there's Ryuunosuke, looking...admittedly kind of dazed for reasons that Kimblee can only begin to guess at, and then there's...well.]
You must be Peacock. Solf J Kimblee - it's a pleasure.
[He nods briefly in acknowledgement, hand finding the brim of that fedora and tipping it lightly in her direction, before he turns to Ryuunosuke, tossing a Pokéball lightly at about chest-level with him. Inside? One of those Absols that knows far too many Fire-type moves for its own good.]
I believe I told you that you would be rewarded for your research; use it well.

[The Pokéball tossed at him is nearly missed; spinning around in the chair didn't help his reflexes any. Still, Ryuunosuke fumbles with it for a moment before finally setting it aside. He does have some manners, after all. If the wild, gleeful smirk is anything to judge by though, he's quite pleased. The Onix Kimblee gave him has been incredibly useful; he has high hopes for this one as well.]
Thanks. Yeah, that's Peacock. And this is obviously Kimblee. It's good to see you again, sir!
[That's obviously directed at Kimblee; Ryuunosuke calls Peacock by name. She's far younger than he is, after all. ...She's also really short. Wow, he didn't realize just how tiny she was until now. Huh.]
So both of you already know I was behind the most recent attack. I'm interested in wreaking some more havoc. What do you guys say?

Thinks the girl who's wearing a dress to the meeting.Still, Peacock grins when greeted--it's a little too formal than what she's used to, but he just looks like someone who seems formal for no reason at all. That's just Peacock's thoughts.]
Eh, I'd say the pleasure's all mine, but Uryuu's the one who organized this shindig--the pleasure's all his, Kimblee. [She's pleased to meet him too, in translation. She does watch Kimblee toss the Poke Ball and Ryuunosuke look like he's attempting a one ball juggle, holding back a snicker--that's what spinning around will do to someone.
...When Ryuunosuke mentions wrecking more havoc, however Peacock immediately shifts to business mode. She tilts her head downward, her hat shadowing her eyes and a grin forming on her face.]
I'm always ready to cause a ruckus. Name the time and place, and I'll be ready to paint the town red!

The pleasure's all his, indeed - have patience, Mr. Uryuu. You'll get your chance soon enough, I assure you.
[He makes his way over to the desk in the room as he speaks, sitting on the edge of it in a way that still allows him to look at both of them; his positioning is casual, perhaps overly so, forming a hard contrast to the formal speech, and even though he's smiling a bit, his gaze is sharp when he focuses his attention toward Peacock.]
First of all, however, I'll ask you to indulge me, Miss Peacock; tell me a bit about yourself. I'll ask you to forgive my bluntness, but you seem a bit young - would you mind telling me exactly what it was you did back in your world of origin?

When the floor turned to her, however, she managed to get a grin right back on her face.] Eh, that's what a lotta people would say. I don't got a problem with explainin'!
You see-- [She straightens herself up when she speaks, her tone just a bit prideful.] I was recreated as weapon by the Doc back home. Only created for one purpose, really--takin' down a being known as the Skullgirl, destroyin' the MacGuffin that made 'er what she was, and take down anyone who worked for her. [That last one was admittedly more of a personal mission than anything, but it counted in her mind.]
Other than that, I helped test out some things in the lab, and bashed a few heads in along the way. Last one was really only somethin' I did under the guise of workin', though.
no subject
Recreated? What happened to you before?
[A weapon though? From the grin it's rather clear that Ryuunosuke approves.]
Sounds like you had a lot of fun back home! I hope this place can compare!
[It's not often Ryuunosuke genuinely likes someone on a more than superficial level. Peacock has endeared herself to him without even trying. It would be a shame to see her leave before they can even have fun.]
Team Rocket has a lab, have you checked that out? I got kicked out when I tried to get in, but the place seems pretty interesting. Maybe you can help out there sometime? Not that it would be as interesting as attacking people, but you know, it's an option.

It's rude to ask such things if the information hasn't been offered, Mr. Uryuu.
[His expression doesn't remain hard for very long, however - he isn't angry, after all - before he returns his attention to Peacock.]
You're more than welcome to address that if you like, but I must admit that I'm interested in what you have said - while no...re-creating was involved, I spent quite some time serving as a human weapon myself, and I'm no stranger to mercenary work, either.
I believe I'll be able to put you to good use, if that's what you're used to.
no subject
This place is alright so far! Havin' something to do here's makin' it better than it could be, for sure. [Peacock chuckles.] And I've already been to the lab! Interesting place with interesting ways to spend time; ain't my taste at the moment, but it's an option.
[Now, back to the point...well, what Kimblee said has interested Peacock in spades.]
No kidding? Now that sounds like the life! What'd ya do? Were you a sniper, an assassin, or did you just work for whoever payed ya the most?
[That very last bit gets a grin that's both intrigued and amused.] That true? Well, considerin' that what our jobs are pretty similar, I don't got any reason to doubt ya there! As long as it's entertaining and doesn't end up bitin' me in the rear?
[She'll just tip her hat at this point; she may as well show some respect if he's gonna end up a surrogate Doc at this point.] I ain't got any problem workin' for ya.
no subject
Ahh, I'm really sorry, sir! I didn't think before I spoke! I'm sorry too, Peacock, that was really rude of me.
[He goes quiet after that though, listening intently to both Kimblee and Peacock as they speak about their jobs. What amazing lives they must have led back home! How can they stand being in a boring old place like this, then? But it's probably rude to ask, so he'll shut up.]
I've got no issues working with you either, sir. I'd love to help out! So what can we do for you?
