WHERE: Both Breeding Centers in Goldenrod City and Celadon City

SUMMARY: Both buildings are decked out for a certain holiday. OOC information provided here.

[ Thanks to the help of so many others, both buildings in Goldenrod City and Celadon City were decorated in the colors of white, yellow, and teal. There's plenty of food available for trainer and Pokémon alike. With areas designated for mingling and for writing down wishes, it's not much of a celebration until the sun sets. When it does, the sky lights up with various fireworks. Once the excitement has died down, there will be a bonfire to burn the written wishes with, burning brightly until dawn. Who knows what else is going on? Perhaps someone will bring additional excitement to the party~ ]

Due to the nature of this log, it's going to be fairly open, so please feel free to make your own sub-threads. Just please comment under the appropriate city since both are celebrating it.

[Hmm... He nods slowly, then smiles a little shyly.]

Why don't you wish for the same thing? Except for your friends, I guess, not mine. For them to come here, I mean.

[ She smiles back, if a bit shyly as well. ]

Yeah... that'd be nice. Okay. [ Going to scribble her wish down now. ]

[He'll take an extra moment to think of how to word his, then he joins her in the scribbling.]

And... There. Do we just keep them until later?

[ That actually makes her pause before she looks around. She then notices similar slips of paper hanging from trees. She points to them. ]

I think we're supposed to do that to them? I wonder why, though...

Maybe it's to put them closer to the stars? [This festival is about stars, right.] I'm not sure.

[ordalias]

I guess. Follow by example, right? [ Xion's going to walk over and try to tie her wish to a bamboo, then. ]

[He hesitates, then follows her example. It isn't too hard for him, and he steps back when he's got it tied up.]

Even though I'm skeptical, I hope everyone's wishes come true. That'd be pretty nice.

[ She smiles once he's done. ] It would, wouldn't it? [ Pause. ] Thank you for trying it out with me. I'm Xion.

I'm Luca. It's nice to meet you, Xion. And, um... I was happy to try it out with you.

[It's not every day you meet a cute girl face-to-face and have a nice conversation with her, after all.]

[ Her smile grows wider at that, happy to meet another nice person. She even holds out a hand for him to shake. ]

I am, too. I hope your wish comes true, Luca. It's nice to meet you.

[He shakes it, shyness making way for a more confident look. First impressions are always nervewracking.]

I hope your does too. Are you going to be staying for the fireworks?

[ She lets go of his hand to put a thoughtful finger on her chin. ]

Mmmm. Maybe. I've seen fireworks before, but I heard these ones might look different tonight. What about you?

[And his hand goes back to his side, then to meet up with his other to twiddle thumbs.]

Probably. We didn't get to see it much, since most of the fireworks come from Ashihara and that's halfway across the world from where I lived... And when my friends and I visited, there wasn't anything to celebrate about, so we didn't get to see any then.

Nothing for your friends to celebrate about? Why is that? [ Pause. ] Oh, wait. Um, if you want to tell me, of course.

[milquetoasthero]

[Wwwell maybe not specifics, but--] It's okay. It's just... We're kind of on the run.

[ordalias]

O-Oh. [ Yeah, she could see why now. Still. ] Then maybe you can celebrate... for them? And hope your well wishes reach your friends, just like the wish you wrote earlier.

[!] That's a good idea... They'd want me to have a good time anyway. Actually, I'm pretty sure a few of them would yell at me if I didn't eat all of this delicious-smelling food, too. They were very big, um... food appreciators.

[ordalias]

[ She laughs a bit softly at that. ] Want me to help you out on that? I haven't eaten in a bit, so...

[milquetoasthero]

[-- Ill-timed blush, actually; it's just an offer for food, Luca, not a date. Man up!] Um-- That'd be great! Let's, um... Let's get something, shall we?
