Summary: Luke and Clive go stargazing.

[The nice thing about living in a house on the outskirts of Goldenrod? The nice, open grassy field in the front yard. After pestering Clive shortly after Clive got home from work, the two of them decided to spend a little time together by doing some stargazing. And Luke wasted no time in going all out for this little event - a large blanket spread out, snacks, you know, the important things.

After getting set up, he flops down on Mr. Bear, using her like a pillow.]

Hurry up, big Luke!

[Clive can never resist an opportunity to spend some quality time with his faux younger self, especially not tonight; it's a warm, gorgeous, and even though he's pretty exhausted from work, he's willing to deal with it so he can spend time with Luke before he crashes for the night.

He chuckles as the boy calls out for him, taking his sweet ol' time in getting over there. Clive doesn't really have the energy to run.]

I'm coming, I'm coming!

[Once he gets there, he sits right down near Mr. Bear and Luke, helping himself to some snacks. He knows that he'll probably fall asleep if he lays down, so he's going to try to avoid doing that. Clive looks up at the sky as he eats.]

Lovely night tonight, isn't it?

[Luke scoots over to give Clive more space, while Mr. Bear lifts her head for a moment and yawns. She's content enough to let the both of them use her for a cushion. As soon as Luke's comfortable, he'll glance up at the sky too.]

It certainly is! There's not as many lights out here, so it's easier to see the constellations.

[Clive moves back against the Ursaring, though he's not leaning against her completely; he won't allow himself to get too comfortable.]

Indeed. It's truly a marvelous sight; one that you could never see from inside the city.

[He pauses for a moment as he munches on some more of his snacks.]

So, Little Luke. What have you been up to lately?

[Luke also reaches for a handful of snacks. Munching quietly as he thinks over the question.]

Training. I've gotten quite a lot of new Pokemon lately, and it wouldn't be fair if I didn't do anything with them. And I want to be ready when I finish off my badges!

I think my Pikachu might be ready to evolve too, but I'm not sure. It's kind of hard to tell when a Pokemon seems like it's ready to evolve or not.

What about you, big Luke? Still busy at work?

Yes, work has been taking up the vast majority of my time, but I always spare some time to train my Pokémon, as well. Quite a few of them have hit level 100 recently, so I'm training a new group now, one of them being that Eevee that you got me for Christmas.

[Poor thing's been sitting in the PC ever since he hatched... It's about time he got around to training him.]

Oh! So you're training the Eevee I gave you?

[He beams for a moment, before frowning slightly.]

You work an awful lot, big Luke. Do you really need to work so much?

[Clive mirrors that frown, looking off to the side a bit as he replies.]

As physically taxing as it can be, and not to mention that I have more money than I know what to do with, it... helps prevent my mind from wandering into dark places.

Dark places...?

[Luke pauses, looking a little concerned.]

Do you have a lot of troubling thoughts, big Luke?

[Clive lets out a sigh. He really doesn't want to make Luke worry like this, but...]

I suppose you could say that, but I would prefer not to share them.

But if you told them to me, then maybe you wouldn't have to work so much.

[Luke's logic is pretty childlike here, but he is pretty worried about Clive overworking himself. And if Clive shares his problems with Luke, that just means they get to spend even more time together!]

[He chuckles a bit at that, attempting to give Luke a reassuring smile.]

I appreciate the concern, really, but I'll be all right.

[Luke frowns, not reassured at all.]

I still think you shouldn't work so much...
