Outbreak: The Explosions
Who: Open!
Where: Goldenrod, Ecruteak, and Saffron City
When: July 13th, All Day
Summary: The Pokémon Centers have been destroyed, and there's panic in the streets!
Rating: PG-ish!
Log:
For the three cities in question, the picture painted is around the same. The Centers have been destroyed, completely and utterly demolished by... Well. They aren't sure. The smoke still lingers in the air, the building's rubble still hot and smoldering from the destruction. Officer Jennys have roped the place off, some of them investigating the crime scene, some asking eyewitness accounts. They're still not sure what happened, and they can't give answers to anyone who asked; all they're saying, all they're able to say, is that everything is currently being investigated and they will report the moment they can. Only a very few are being allowed into the debris; it's dangerous, but with enough coaxing and a good enough reason, they'll let someone look through it for a short amount of time. However, there aren't any answers that can be found to explain this.
The current News reporters are all over this. People and pokémon with cameras are asking anyone if they know what happened or had seen anything, trying to alert the public in both the Kanto and Johto regions that everything is okay and to come forth with information once they hear anything. They just try to keep from creating public panic, so they do their best as reporters to cover the story. It's not much, but it helps.
For the patients who were already in the centers, and for those who were injured further, they're currently being bussed or flown to neighboring city Centers for better treatment. For the Nurses who can still work and the ones who have come in, the three cities are now stationing tents for help. They can't heal pokémon--the machines were broken--but they've got blankets and bandages and a few potions to help out. The Inns are housing many of them for free for that night, and the next few nights to come until they can get some things worked out. The nurses are looking for volunteers, anyone on-hand and willing to help out with the people currently nursing any injuries.
But everything is looking somewhat grim. Until the police are able to catch who did it, the most they can do is investigate. Judging by the damages, they're not going to have the pokéCenters in these city for another month or two at least. They're back to square one.
Citizens... please, don't panic.
[The NPCs and normal citizens won't be able to give you any details on what happened. The effects are spreading across the regions now; strange symptoms are beginning to surface. This outbreak starts now.]

And besides, he's just in the way here. Being tripped over won't help anyone at all, so he'll just...reach up and take that help without further protest.]
I doubt there's less chaos anywhere in town right now.
no subject
True, but it's not wise to remain at the epicenter. Do you think you can walk?
no subject
Provided it's not a far distance, yes.
[There should be a bench nearby that's still standing, shouldn't there? The blast wasn't that large...]
no subject
Are you experiencing any kind of double or blurry vision? Are you feeling at all confused?
[Head wounds: France is familiar with these.]
no subject
No. Just a headache.
[Probably a minor concussion, but nothing more than that. At least he was't in the Center when it blew...things would be worse then.]
no subject
Uh huh.
[He shifts his messenger bag from his shoulder, pulling out a roll of fabric he'd originally intended to use to make a new shift but will now serve to make a makeshift bandage. He pulls out a pair of scissors and begins to cut it into a long strip.]
Count backwards from eight-one in intervals of nine.
no subject
Would you prefer I count down from intervals of seventeen or nineteen next?
no subject
No. Your sarcasm is telling.
[He stands up, the newly created bandage in his hands. He sits down on the bench, reaching out.]
Turn towards me a bit, if you can.
no subject
So he'll turn his head as asked, having no trouble until he sees all that chaos again. People are still running, screaming, and in a general panic. Goodness...]
You should be helping others with worse injuries than mine right now. This isn't serious.
no subject
I don't have the supplies to do so. I don't even have antiseptic to properly clean this wound. Let me do what I can.
no subject
The nurses should have some kind of supply chain being brought to them by now. I doubt they'd turn away anyone willing to help at this point.
no subject
Are you sure you don't need anything else?
no subject
I'm sure. Like I said, this isn't serious.
[It is the worst of his injuries, yes, but compared to others? He just won't be going anywhere due to the dizziness. It's nothing to worry about, really!]
