[ It had been a while since Terra had seen Ven, and even though he knew that was because of all the things that needed to be done, Terra also knew it wasn't very good reasons. He had been a bad example to Ven while he was trying to figure out what was going on inside his heart, and part of him wanted to just avoid meeting.

However, Terra knew he couldn't keep himself away. Aqua would fuss and it would make Ven sad. He promised himself he'd do what he could for his friendships, no matter what. It was time he started really thinking about the big picture. He had thought a lot on his way here, mostly because of what Vanitas had said to him. Terra wasn't sure he could believe the other, but he had to know some of the things that had transpired. Even if Vanitas caused trouble, Ven had to have a good reason to trust him. If Ven trusted him, he would have to try to do the same.

Sighing, he picked up the Turtwig, a feat someone commented to him wasn't easy, because the pokemon was apparently heavy. Terra didn't understand, the pokemon wasn't nearly as heavy as his keyblade... Letting out a sigh, he started to slowly walk around Cherrygrove looking for the familiar blond boy. Turtwig just settled happily. ]

[When Ven gets close to Cherrygrove, Zephyr swoops down to the ground and allows him to clamber down. Recalling his bird, he glances around, trying to catch sight of his best friend. It's been a very long time since Terra was in Johto, he realizes vaguely. Since that time, he's gotten older, taller. He's forgotten and relearned his combat skills, and he's picked up a few new ones.

He has to wonder what Terra will think of the seventeen-year-old, four-inches-taller friend he sees...

Ven finds he's glancing down at himself and shakes his head as though to dispel his concerns, striding toward town. If Terra thinks he hasn't grown up well, he'll just work harder. That's all there is to it]

[ Terra looked around a little more and then turned, noticing that messy head of blond hair. He smiled, but then it faded a little bit. Ven was a lot bigger then the last time he saw the other. But then again, he'd probably been here for a bit, since he knew so much about what was going on ]

Ven!

[ He called out and walked up to the other with long strides, noticing the different in the other immediately. Reaching out, he ruffled the others hair with a smile ]

You've grown.

[Despite the fact that quite a few people ruffle Ven's hair, he'd know Terra-ruffles anyplace. He turns and grins up at Terra]

You should see Riku, he's enormous. Hope too, I swear they sped right on past me.

[It doesn't sound like he minds at all though]

So how's traveling been?

Not to bad. This little guy is pretty tough.

[ He holds up the Turtwig, who just makes a little noise and squirms to be put down. Terra does so and sighs ]

How about yourself?

Not bad, flying makes things a lot faster for me. It's a bit different from having a glider though, that's for sure.

I'm sure it does. [ He runs a hand through his hair and looks a little awkward now ]

Ven...before we get any further. I..[ a pause as he feels his neck heat up a little from embarrassment ]

I'm sorry about what I did. Leaving you and Aqua.

[There's a long pause as he looks up at Terra...

...And then he gives him the weakest arm-punch there ever was]

Don't be silly, Terra. No matter how far away you try and run, you're stuck with us. I never forgot that, I'm sure Aqua didn't either.

[They're always connected, even if now he knows they met some pretty awful fates. He doesn't want that on Terra's mind too]

Just...maybe don't do it again anytime soon, okay?

[ Terra didn't feel it at all, but for Ven's sake, he reached up and rubbed his arm, acting like the other got him really good!! Grinning, he ruffled that hair again. ]

Don't worry, I won't.

[ The smile fades again as he thinks of Aqua. He knows that the other won't forgive him that easily...he was really awful to her in Radiant Garden. Shaking his head lightly, he looked like he remembered something. ]

Oh...Ven, something Vanitas said seemed strange, I wanted to talk to you about it.

What kind of strange? He's been here about a year, so...

[Vanitas has had much time during which to cultivate his own special brand of strangeness]

[ Another awkward pause...he rubs his neck because he knows somethings happened that he clearly doesn't have any clue about..]

Something about not trusting Master Xehanort.

[Despite himself, Ven's hands clench into fists at his sides. He might just be shaking the tiniest bit at the thought of Xehanort, and worse, what he orchestrated]

He's right. Xehanort's bad news.

[ Terra's genuinely surprised at Ven's reaction. He'd never really known the other to really get that upset in regards to anyone, so Xehanort must have done something pretty bad to make this happen. Terra's brow furrows as he looks down at the other (though not as far as he used to...)]

Ventus, you have to be honest with me; What happened?

There's... [A lot of things he isn't even sure how to say, or if he wants to say them. What happens to Terra, especially, he's not sure he can put to words] There's too many things.

He hurts everyone, even Vanitas. The reason Vanitas is what he is is because of how cruel Xehanort was as his Master.

[ Terra crosses his arms over his chest and looked at Ven with a frown. He knew the other was hiding something, but he knew better then to prod the other about it, since it was obviously something bad... So he settles for bending his head slightly, unsure of what to say initially. Ven would never lie to him about anything...

Master Eraqus had trusted him too, but then there was always a little uncertainty from the other regarding Xehanort. ]

Something seems strange about all this...[ He admits it honestly, but he can tell Ven doesn't want to spare details, so he tries to give him an encouraging smile. The other will tell him when he's ready! ]

But I'll trust you and Vanitas. I can't say that I'm not completely weary of him, but...I know you wouldn't lie to me.

[Just wait until Ven tells Terra what Vanitas is, exactly. But for now he's just relieved he doesn't have to try and articulate all the awful things that Xehanort has managed to do, much less the ones he's now aware the guy is planning.

He tries to think of something to say, but all he comes up with is giving Terra a hug]

[ Terra's a little surprised by that, given that the other didn't say anything. Not only that, he realized that whatever happened must have been really terrible...

Hugging him back, Terra just waited for the other to feel better.]

[It's a good thing this is Terra he's attached himself to, and Terra is accustomed to hugs that linger on past the limits of comfort for some. When he does let go, he sniffs and wipes his eyes with the back of an arm.

Sorry for getting your shirt wet there, bro]

[ Terra waits for Ven to be finished, and doesn't even react when there is sudden wetness on his shirt. When he pulls back, he puts a hand on Ven's shoulder ]

No matter what happened, we get out of it together.

[He tries to be big and tough like Terra, he really does]

Yeah, I...I know.

[Although considering how bad it is, he's not yet sure how it'll happen]

[ Terra considers Ven for a moment. It's hard not to give in to curiosity; Terra does want to know what could be so bad that Ven would react this way, but he saves it. Ruffling the others hair one more time, he tried to give him the best smile he could muster ]

So I'm sure you've got a lot of stories about your time here. Why don't you tell me about them?

[Ven appreciates the change of subject, not having to try too hard to perk up a bit himself. After all, Terra's here, and that's pretty awesome in his book]

All kinds, it's kind of hard to choose which.

[But maybe he'll start at the beginning]

Didja meet Hope yet?

I haven't.

[ He thinks for a moment, trying to see if he maybe forgot and had met someone ]

Or...at least I'm pretty sure I haven't.

Well, you will when we get to Goldenrod. Was gonna tell you how we first met, since that's the first day we were in this world, him and me.

I'm interested in meeting your friends here. They seem like very good people, so far.

[ But he smiles ]

So what did you do when you first got here?

They're definitely good people, I think you'll get along great!

[All his enthusiasm. His friends are magnificent, clearly they're all meant to be buddies]

And well...Hope, Enma, and me actually started off by tripping over each other.

[ Terra pauses and laughs lightly ]

That sounds like you. So what did you do after that?

We tried to figure out what was going on, and...well, we figured out pretty fast we were from really different worlds.

But Hope's is a lot more like ours than Enma's was. Should've seen the looks on their faces when I tried to explain keyblades.

I'm sure that was a little bit of a weird story for them.

[ A moment while he thinks about his conversations with others ]

I suppose that everyone's concept of worlds here is different from ours.

Yeah, they're pretty different...

But Hope and Light come from a world with spells that're pretty close to ours.
