crayons on the walls, I'll color on them all

Who: Nepeta Leijon ([personal profile] tacklepounce), Equius Zahhak ([personal profile] iownahoofbeast)
Where: somewhere along Route 31
When: September 7
Summary: In which two moirails hike through the forest on an unfamiliar planet, discuss seriously their present situation, attempt to tame their new pets, and behave in a manner both quirky and adorable. Contains at least one conversation between Pokebeasts, several attempts at roleplaying, gratuitous silliness, many puns.
Rating: PG
Log:

[ They've been walking for days. Nepeta hasn't tired of it yet, though; she loves this new wilderness, this new wildlife, all the sights and smells and sounds that were so absent from life in the Veil. It is not her terrain, but it is close enough, and she's enough of an adventurer to be thrilled by that.

She prowls along just ahead of Equius, generally; winding through the trees or underbrush to the side of the path, because it's more fun that way. She trails back to her moirail's side every now and then, coming at his call even when she complains, because kitties do not heel. The Skitty always comes loping along beside her, mewing in incessant cheerfulness. ]

[Equius is keeping pace, busying himself with his Pokegear; looking over the wild Pokemon native to this particular route and seeing if there are any that would make good additions to his team. A Shinx, maybe, but it looks like they're really rare.]

[Azvadia the Ponyta is mostly keeping pace with her trainer, occasionally body-checking him out of the path of some obstacle he's failed to notice. Squirt the Clefairy has been joining Nepeta and Pounce in their prowling. Or attempting to, at least. She's not very good at it, and has mostly been bouncing along, trying to keep up with them and occasionally picking up interesting looking rocks. Equius' remaining Pokemon are resting inside their Pokeballs.]

Take care, Nepeta. The wild Pokebeasts beyond this point will be stronger than those we have encountered prior, if Miss Serket is to be believed.

[Not the first time he's said this, but he feels it bears repeating. Nepeta's capable of handling herself, but she still seems so carefree about the whole thing...]

[No, apparently he hasn't gotten over the whole 'training is super-srs-bzns' thing yet.]
