When: September 8th aka tonight! From early evening into tomorrow.
Summary: Hayate has owed Maria a slumber party for a few months, so he's going to deliver! Only in this case it's a Halloween themed slumber party.
Rating: PG as can be.

It was still a little odd to have a house to live in. Even stranger still when he was sharing it with friends... Yet if nothing else, it allowed for arranging for all kinds of get-togethers easily and efficiently. At least as far as where they took place went.

Which is why tonight the house that Hayate built rented was lovingly decorated with jack-o-lanterns, small plush black cats, fake spiderwebs and little fake ghosts along with one real ghost courtesy of Hayate's Banette. There was candy of varying Pokemon-brand types strewn about the house, along with a trio of fresh pumpkin pies lurking in the kitchen which anyone inclined to such a thing could pounce upon. ... yet in retrospect, perhaps giving this much free access to candy was a awful idea considering this was supposed to be a slumber party...

Still! The butler had gone all in for this, even going so far as to picking up a tiny supply of witch hats, capes (which he himself was wearing one of each) and prop staffs. Some of which resembled more the type of thing you would see a magical girl carry than a witch... Yet all the same, they were set up by the entrance to be tossed off in the guests felt like getting in character.

Yet since this was still a slumber party underneath the slightly spooky a month early atmosphere, there was a small array of party games and enough pillows to supply a small household wide war. Hayate could only hope nothing would get broken by a stray pillow.

As the rain began to drizzle down outside, there was no doubt it was going to be a noisy night.

My. Seeking you out involves quite a scary journey, then--preceded by rumors of ghosts and monsters. [ she sounds like she wants to go on this journey herself, actually… ] There must be a great reward at the end.

... I'm not really sure what kind of reward I could give to you, Judith-san, but you certainly sound like you want to go on the quest for it!

That's all right. Meeting the wizard is reward enough. [ no big deal. she really does mean it though, even if it's half playful. same old, same old. ] Don't you think?

... eh? O-Oh... I... I suppose it might be, yes... *jeez!*

[bewilding]

[ eheh. she's turning around to pick up a pillow... throwing it in his direction. ]

I'm glad we agree.

*oof catching that pillow on pure instinct since he's still a bit fuweeeeeh.*

Ah... Y-Yeah... Um... *hm.* Were you planning to hole up in your fort once you finish it, or was there anything you wanted to try doing?

It's in preparation. [ picking up another pillow, and then fluffing it up between her hands. ] Pillow fights happen during times like these, don't they?

... ah.

Y-Yeah. I was told that by Yui-nee... In fact that's why I made sure to move everything fragile out of the main room... It would be really bad if someone broke a lamp while a bunch of us are in bare feet or socks.

[bewilding]

Always thinking ahead. [ a playful smile. ] Then it's all right to do...

[ now she's just going to look him over for a little bit before.

she swings the pillow in her hands towards him. ]

This, right?

Well, I do try to-- *huh. oh she's. swinging a pillow at him? Is she for real with this or is she going to stop shor-- oh no okay he just got pillow'd.*

--oof! ... ... it's perfectly fine to do that, yes. Though I feel slightly underpowered when you're on the side with the fort...

I'm just adding in a twist for you.

[ yep, that's it. she won't do a repeat attack just yet, but she's fluffing up the pillow again. ]

It's not making you give up, is it?

Of course not! While I'd be worried about the outcome of a proper pillow fight with Judith-san given these odds, I would stand firm even if I was down to naught but a feather!

[bewilding]

. . . Only a feather? I don't think you have to go that far.

[ but actually, she looks pretty interested… a pillow fight with feathers. that's cool. ]

I admit I would prefer it if I never came to that, as being assaulted by pillows would be a rather rough patch for the night if that's all I had....

[bewilding]

I'm sure we could make it work somehow.

... odd are if I was actually a girl, it would somehow degrade into a tickle fight if I was only armed with a feather.

Still, I'm sure some pillows will fly across the room and impact in my face while I'm mid-sentence eventually.

Tickle fights are a little bit more intense than pillow fights. [ though she can handle that too. ] If it evolves into that, you'll have to make sure to finish your sentences quickly.

Ahaha... Come on, Judith-san! It might be one thing to joke about it, but there's no way it actually would result in that! Besides, it's clear you would win! I can't even begin to imagine tickling you and getting results.

*for reals. though tickling judith at all would leave him feeling red in the face for hours most likely.*

Aw, what a shame. I was looking forward to it. [ absolutely shameless.

giving hayate a look. ] Especially considering it sounds like you're the ticklish one.

While I hate to disappoint you, Judith-san... I'm actually quite resilient when it comes to that kind of attack! It would take more than just some average tickling skills to get me to break!

... though it's hard to tell if you're serious or not about whether you were looking forward to it...

Hm. Well, I'm not about to test that out anytime soon, so I'll take your word for it.
