[Closed] Oh You Captured My Attention
Who: Grit and Smoker
Where: Violet City
When: Wednesday Sept. 19th; 6 PM
Summary: Supposedly a date. SUPPOSEDLY.
Rating: PG-13 for Smoker's goddamn mouth.
Log:
No, not even Grit was expecting this... and he had been the one to ask!
Here he was, standing outside of the Pokemon Center in Violet City waiting for Smoker (appropriate name really). They had met once before so it was easy to spot who he was suppose to be looking for. In waiting, he quickly lit up one of his cigarettes (still a bit too cheap to buy cigars). Sighing lightly as he tossed the match to the ground to stomp it out after he was lit up, he looked around again.
Well, the man was flustered, maybe he wasn't going to show up. Grit pulled out his gear to give another quick look at the time before he sighed lightly. "...'lright. Five more minutes and then I'll go." Which would be a shame if he had to go. But things happened. Oh well, he didn't hold a grudge. Never had, never would.

"Kind of. I don't think Straw Hat was trying to go home. So I guess a random roulette wheel sounds right. And then sometimes people come back, which is equally bizarre." Kazooie came back for a couple of weeks, Robin came back months later as a full grown woman, yup definitely bizarre.
no subject
"...Huh. Well. That ain't good. For multiple reasons." And there were people he didn't want to come here. Thinkin' it's easier for everyone else if they just stay home, y'know? Least from my world. Course, I could be wrong about that too."
no subject
"I think there are a lot of people from both worlds this one would be better without. It's strange watching friends come and go though."
no subject
"Yeah. That's why I ain't interested in seein' no one here. For those reasons and so many more."
no subject
"Because even friends would go, or you just don't want them to have to go through this?"
no subject
"Bit of both, really." He shrugged his shoulders.
no subject
"I guess that's the advantage to just making friends here?" Smoker wasn't entirely sure. He still missed Kazooie some days, and remembering that he couldn't even see her in his own world was less than fun. Still, it also meant he didn't have to care that much about friends he made just in Johto. Hypothetically.
no subject
"Advantage and disadvantage. Cause if they leave, you'll never see 'em again... and if you leave, you'll never see 'em again. Unless they come back, I guess." So he was rambling. Should have been expected.
no subject
"Right," Smoker nodded. "And even if they do come back, sometimes they leave again. So what's your favorite pizza topping again?" He gestured into the shop and got the door.
no subject
"Which sounds just as fun." He shrugged his shoulders, "Haven't had pizza in a while. So I ain't picky. Whatever you want."

He waved a hand casually. "I know, I know, like I said, this isn't me when I'm all that tense. Honest."
He chewed over a cigar trying to think of a return quip, but it was a little late and the moment had passed. Next time, he promised himself, next time he'd get Grit back.
no subject
Next time, sure. Sure if Grit was nice and let him get him back. And then strike harder than ever. He gave a light pat to Smoker's shoulders and sighed.
"C'mon big boy, let's get things."
no subject
Smoker nods mutely and grabs the pizza to take back to a table. He gestures over at the soda dispenser. "Drinks?" Yup, he used even less words when he was nervous, and that probably showed too. Oy vey.
no subject
"Yeah, sure." He nods, "Lemme go get them." Give Smoker a chance to breathe for a bit so this can be a good time. He really needs to lay off the teasing for today. He heads over there.
