*Dusk gives Rose a sharp look normally reserved for the troublemakers on Sion's team, then turns her attention back to the Shuppet.

"I didn't hear anything about any masks," she remarked. "It's silly to ask what kind of a mask that isn't there..."

She was grateful that as it was Jehra couldn't butt in with ill-timed remarks, as well. She'd learned from observing how Sion dealt with difficult people and pokemon, but this wasn't something she'd exactly had much practice doing...*

[To be fair, Jehra's so... whatever emotion he is right now that even if he could say anything he probably wouldn't. (Regardless, this much stewing probably isn't healthy, but...)

Rose huffs a little because all she's trying to do is find out what she can about what's going on.

"Right?" the Shuppet continues, still trying to wiggle his way out of this situation. "Def'nitely din' say nothin' bout no masks, an' def'nitely nothin' bout no Yamasks' masks, 'cause there ain't none o' those around either. An' the boss'd get real mad if I ever lied an' said there were."

...The narration has no comment.]

*Dusk nods to that answer, making careful note of the unfamiliar name. Not a species she's heard of before.

"Of course there aren't," she said patiently, glancing at Rose with a look that said See? This is what we want to know, right?*

["So, since we's in agreement that there definitely ain't no way any Yamask's mask got tossed 'round at all, can I go now?"

Rose thinks that this lying game that the Shuppet is playing is stupid, but fine, she'll concede that you're getting results, Dusk.]

*Dusk cocks her head at the question, then glances past the Shuppet to the other two pokemon.

"What do you think, Rose? Jehra?"*

["He's rude and unhelpful," Rose says with a huff.

Jehra still says nothing, though if one looks closely, he does give a small shrug. There's not much more that this Shuppet is going to be able to tell them (or, well, not tell them), he thinks.]

*"Of course," Dusk replies, glancing at Rose and then back to the Shuppet. "He hasn't told us a thing, after all. We might as well let him go."*

[Jehra releases the Shuppet, who happily flies a circle around Dusk. "Oh, thank you, thank you! You's real kind. I'll put in a good word wit' the boss for you. You ain't got nothin' t'worry 'bout from us Shuppets!"

And then he floats off, presumably to wherever the rest of the local Shuppet mafia is hiding.]

*once the Shuppet's gone Dusk takes a moment to nuzzle Jehra briefly, before heading back over to Sion, who's been watching all this intently*

*he crouches and reaches out to pet Dusk's head as she approaches*

[Well, at least Marian is still eager to find out.

Rose mutters something about learning that Shuppets are jerks and that lying games are stupid while she goes to grab the notebook.]

*Dusk happily accepts the petting, then starts gesturing with a paw. Sion watches her a moment, considering...*

*"Sol." Dusk nods in confirmation, while Sion goes to pull it out*

Look up yamask, its the only useful thing he said

[Why no, Rose isn't annoyed.]

*nods*

All right...

*and after a moment of poking at the 'gear, the entry and information on Yamask pops up on the screen*

It looks like one of these ghost-types had something to do with it. Though I've never heard of them before....
