Summary: After the strange 4th Wall event, Lacus suddenly remembered the letters she had written addressed to Kira every month since she first arrived to this world. There had been fifteen letters all in all ans dignifying the fifteen months before Kira arrived. Now, she wanted to show them to him, despite how silly it felt now.

Contrary to her quite prim and proper image, in private Lacus can be very affectionate. She had her head comfortably against Kira's shoulder. At the moment, she was the picture of contentment, despite the sad past few days having to lose so many of her long-time friends in such a short period of time, like the Other Father and Minnie ...
She must have given a very sad expression because Kira suddenly asked if anything was wrong. She was about to shake her head to reassure him, but she knew that she couldn't really lie to Kira, so she told him the truth.
"I broke my promise to my friend, Minnie. I promised her that I would introduce you to her. But now she is gone from here. I was not able to keep my promise," she told him quietly. "And it seems many other of my friends have disappeared as well. I will miss them. They had been truly been kind to me."
In front of them was a collection of letters tied together neatly with a red bow. It was much like a timeline of Lacus's stay in Johto. She took one of the letters. One that was dated on June of last year.

Kira,
This is indeed a very strange world. I am embarrassed to say that Mister Pink and I had been quite dependent on Athrun this first month. The thought of battling even when lives are not at stake still worries me. It breaks my heart every time I see my tiny Mister Pink injured.
I am traveling with three other girls, but it seems Sheryl is definitely determined to leave on her own. I don't mind. I can see that she has a very independent spirit. She will do very well by herself. Midori and Charlotte are the two other girls I am traveling with and they are such adorable people. Midori is an idol and Charlotte is a kind of character I have never seen before.
There had been a few dangers, such as frightening fire-type Pokemon attacking us. Midori was especially frightened because her Pokemon was so severely injured trying to protect its master. It is still very difficult for me ... but I am beginning to understand our Pokemon's desire to go into battle. Maybe ... it isn't the fight. Maybe ... they simply wish to protect?
Kira, I will be alright. I am surrounded by friends. So I beg you not to worry about me ...

Kira could understand why Lacus would feel sad. They've both been through sadness like this, even if this wasn't losing someone permanently. They could come back, one day. Some of the people they had known could not. Yet, the pain was the same and there was no shame in grieving over it.
All Kira could really do in this situation was to be there for her; hold her close and be by her side. In a world like this worlds like 'I'll never leave you' were meaningless as you never knew what would happen - and Kira had left once, even if it hadn't been him, but another version.
Kira read the first letter. It seemed her journey had been eventful when she started. It didn't surprise him as it was the first time Lacus had ever traveled like this, after all, and Johto was rather dangerous in it's own way.
"I would have worried a little, but I would have also felt assured that you were with your friends...and that Athrun was here."

She blushed but leaned towards him more comfortably. "It was an embarrassing time. I admit."
So many friends lost and coupled with the uncertainty of ever seeing them again. However, having Kira with her lessened the blow.
"Mnm ... actually, he also told me that not long ago after I arrived, you had been here. You were only here for a short period of time though." She reaches out to touch his hair. "It seems you don't have the memories of that time though. For some time, it made me sad to think I had missed you by only a few weeks."
