Spending Christmas day in a cafe

Summary: Just some tea time between these two girls.

Even after being here for like three weeks, she still doesn't have an idea where everything is. Whether it was due to poor memory or the explorer in her not being so active, it took her a while to find the cafe where the two said they would meet up. She felt rather embarrassed but she had to deal.

She held the Deino egg close to her body underneath the large jacket. It was still freaking cold out and she was worried the egg might freeze to death, even though nothing can really die here. She was hoping the place where they were heading was warm cause she can't take this much winter air. Maybe she wear some pants for once..

After a bit of wandering around, she finally found the place. Thank god.

She hoped she didn't keep Aradia waiting.

Aradia actually hadn't been waiting too long; she'd ducked out from the group to go and meet up with Misaki - citing planning to leave soon after Christmas was past and having put it off long enough as her reasons (because sick) - and had been sure to bring the egg she'd found that morning, although the others were left in the care of Jake and the pokemon. Fluroite the Litwick is in the red egg sling along with the egg, preforming his usual egg-minding duties - in addition to heating the egg with flame body.

She'd gotten there a few minutes earlier and secured a table for them, where she's sitting with the aforementioned Litwick and Eevee egg in the sling, as well as Indy the Haunter floating more or less at her side, reading the menu over her shoulder. Or pretending to read, at least. He's the first to spot Misaki, and prods his trainer, who looks up and waves to the other girl with a grin.

Misaki noticed the wave and shot a grin back. Seeing two of the girl's pokemon with her, Misaki felt kind of bad not bringing any other pokemon with her other than the egg, specifically Tamamo and Angel. Instead Misaki suggested that they would stay behind to comfort the poor Ponyta in its time of grieving and being the kind souls they are, they agreed with no hesitation. She brought the Banette and Feraligatr along in their balls just in case though, although they're not exactly the friendliest around strangers. After that cookie incident, you can't be too safe!

She took a seat across from Aradia at their table, shivering from both the cold and out of fear due to the presence of the Haunter and Litwick; she was still in the process of trusting ghost pokemon. She refuses to admit this to anyone so openly though.

"D-Did I keep you waiting?" was all she let out.

Someday Aradia would learn to bring along different pokemon to first meetings - she was one of the few people who honestly didn't seem to mind ghost pokemon, even enjoying their company. Granted, Indy had been her starter, but he hadn't really taken much getting used to on her part. Misaki's lucky, though: he's on fairly good behaviour today, not attempting to scare anyone. The Litwick seems completely taken up with his egg-warming duties, not making a single sound - but that's no unusual for Flourite, who barely vocalizes anything ever.

"Oh, no! I only just got here a little bit ago myself. The weather is still a little bad, don't you think? Better than it was, though." She'd mostly been looking at the list of hot drinks on the menu, as a matter of fact. "Indy, Flourite, this is Misaki - Misaki, this is Indy, and this is Fluorite."

"Ah, it's nice to meet you two." Misaki's head gave a small bow towards the two out of courtesy. Although Indy hasn't shown signs of any tricks up his sleeve, she's still rather cautious of the ghost pokemon. The candle one though, Misaki feels pretty safe with. Since she felt Aradia should get to know her pokemon as well, she took out Kizu the Banette. He took his place by her side, not really caring where is. She would've taken out the Feraligatr too but since it was still freaking cold out and he was freakishly large, she didn't want to risk the trouble.

"Aradia, This is Kizu." Misaki was eyeing the Banette so he wouldn't try anything sneaky like he usually does. The Banette, on the other hand, was scratching the small scar on its right leg, looking disinterested in the entire conversation. "He's not exactly a sweetheart but he has his moments."

"Is there anything on the menu that looks good?"

"It's nice to meet you, Kizu!" Aradia's greeting was cheerful, and Indy gave a cackle and a wave, but the Litwick didn't react, still caught up in his egg duties, and Aradia didn't seem inclined to bother him about acknowledging the other pokemon.

She flipped the menu onto the table and slid it across so Misaki could see it, too, pointing to the special items insert she'd been reading. "Oh! They have a peppermint hot chocolate? It sounds interesting and, more to the point, warm. There's also some sort of spice cake that's seasonal, apparently."

Kizu noticed the acknowledge and saw this as a chance to pull a trick up his sleeve on the girl and her Haunter. As he was about to climb on top of the table, Misaki gave a small pat on his head, giving the signal that she might've knew what he was planning to do. His "mouth" made a pout as he reluctantly waved back.

Misaki looked at the menu Aradia handed to her, specially where she pointed. "Hot chocolate?!" she looked rather surprised. "I haven't had that in a while! I don't think I've tried it with peppermint flavor, though." She calmed down a bit. "I think the cake you're referring to is called gingerbread. It kinda has the taste of ginger if you've tried it. The snowman-shaped cookies look rather cute, however."

"I've never tried it that way, either! I think I'll get that, though. Look, they put a little candy cane in the mug on the picture." It's so cute, and Aradia's belief in this fact is pretty evident in her voice, a warm smile clear across her face. "I've had ginger before, but I've never had gingerbread? Oh, you're right! Look at their little eyes. I wish I could bake anything half this appetizing."

And they've not even gotten anything ordered. The menu itself is just appetizing!

Okay, maybe she should have had a bigger breakfast...

"...Huh. That is sorta cute." She was referring to the candy cane in the mug. Regardless of of the peppermint taste, she's still planning on getting the drink. Getting something to eat though, is just a possibility. Even though her day just started, she wasn't really feeling hungry for some reason. Maybe there was too much on her mind right now? Who knows. "I think I'm just getting the hot chocolate. I'm not feeling too hungry right now."

Maybe she'll order something later on but it'll most likely be for her pokemon. Especially the new Ponyta, the poor thing..

"I'll get the gingerbread and the hot chocolate!" That's decided, so she'll flag down a waiter so they can place their orders - after which she'll grin at Misaki. "So - anything interesting happened so far today?"

Well, it was still the morning after all so anything has yet to happen really. "Other than the two new arrivals, nothing has happened really." If struggling to get out of bed counted as interesting, she'd said that too. "Has anything happen with you?"

"Gosh, not much. A lot of my friends did just get into town for the holiday, but otherwise - I mostly spent the last week taking things slow and getting back up to one hundred percent health, you know?" Aradia sort of shrugs, and gives a quick thank you to the waitress, who brings back their orders - neither of them asked for anything that took particularly long to prepare.
