[A moment of hesitation signals the debate that flares up in Harry's mind: get right to the point, or chat around it? Coop seems to be in such high spirits that Harry doesn't want to bring up anything that might ruin that.

But then, isn't that the same difference between slowly peeling a bandage away and quickly ripping it off?
