Who: Belphe and anyone
When: January 21st
Where: New Bark Town
Summary: Belphe arrives in New Bark Town from a different point in time with no recollection of her previous stay in Johto.
Rating: PG; will change if needed
In her long line of service to the Golden Witch, few had been the times Belphegor had found herself humiliated. Defeating Rudolf should have been little of a matter for her...and, had she not been so complacent in her victory to trust that he would be honorable instead of seizing his advantage, he absolutely would have died there at the bottom of the stairwell for the new Beatrice's enjoyment.
I was....lazy.
She had not expected that her resurrection would be immediate...her failure would, of course, be punished with a long stay in limbo. The stake of sloth had been prepared for such things, and gave herself willingly to the empty darkness that had heralded the arrival of death. At least there would be time to heal, and to reflect on her mistakes so that they would not be repeated....
"What? Are you still in bed? If you don't get going soon, you'll miss your big day!"
These had been the words that had jolted Belphegor awake in a small upstairs bedroom and, from there, everything had led to where she currently stood on the front porch, bewildered. The woman inside had acted as if she hadn't heard a word Belphegor had said. Not a single question, show of frustration, or demand had received acknowledgment. Instead, the woman had shoved various things into her hands, wishing her luck on her journey, and telling her to remember to come back and visit her mother once she was a pokemon master.
The now-closed door received a lingering look of confusion before she set the supplies down with the intention of reappearing in the woman's house to extract answers (along with pieces of meat, if need be).....

"Hey! Arcot!" Sho had given up on trying to get back in a while back, "High BRV, but criminally low DEF."
That was all the warning he gave before lobbing the trousers at the back of her head. His Purrloin had managed to get itself out of the backpack half an hour or so ago, and was clinging to his belt with one hand while digging around in his pocket with the other. He was doing his best to ignore it.

Belphe ended up with them right in her face as she turned to seek the source of the unfamiliar voice.
"Uwaahh!!" She stumbled backward, startled, her foot jostling her own backpack, which spilled a red-and-white ball onto the porch beside her. It rolled a short distance before releasing it's cargo - a shaggy teal-colored monster that wasted no time in snuffling at the air and beginning to paw at the backpack for the food it could smell inside.

"Purrloin! Obviously they were off to a great start.
"Should grab that, arccot. These things like 2 steal." Well, his did anyway. It wasn't trying to eat it's shiny thing, though. "Put those on." the trousers, he meant. Although the gesture also took in her backpack and her little monster.

"The uniform I've been given will be fine." she replied firmly, grabbing up the backpack by one strap to heft it onto her shoulder and out of the hungry Munchlax's reach while offering the pants back to him.

The pants withdrew back toward her a bit. No promises, but she'd consider them.
"You seem to know this board." she remarked, shifting the subject. "Who is the Game Master?"

She wasn't familiar with the term. Though she was familiar with the Golden Witch's games, and this sort of setup did not seem to be her style whatsoever. She and her sisters were always treated as their own collective piece...what was the logic in separating her from them to begin alone?
Unless it was a punishment game, of course...the hungry little devil now pawing at her leg and reaching in vain for the backpack, and the purple one attempting to steal everything on the stranger's person seemed to heavily suggest such.

As the munchlax gave up on its silent pleading and assumed a more direct approach of trying to scale her legs and skirt to get at the backpack, she impatiently shooed it away, eying the pants once more.
If this creature was intent on clawing something to shreds, better it was a human's clothes than the one-winged eagle, she decided. At least until she had a better understanding of her role here. Without a word, she meandered to the end of the porch, moving as if she expected to float off of its edge and, instead, landed awkwardly on her feet.
No powers...? It was troubling enough to give her pause before, obscured by some bushes, she went about the business of quickly changing into the pants.

Huh. Okay. So his purple thing was a Purrloin. He held it up at eye level and stared. Purrloin stared back at him and he said, "Riemannian Zeta-Function. You - my hat = tolerable situation."
"Purrloin?"
"I mean it, yoctogram."
"Purrloin?"
"Don't give me that look."

Seeing that Sho was otherwise engaged with his "partner", she paused to reclaim the device she'd been handed along with her backpack from the front porch and examine it, hoping to find answers. Upon opening the PokéGear, it's screen immediately lit up with a small chime.
Welcome, BELPHEGOR OF SLOTH, to the world of Pokémon!said a line of text hovering on a black background as it started itself up.A moment later, and she was faced with an array of icons and functions what made...very little sense to someone who'd never used a computer before.

The device gave a chime before a screen appeared depicting a portrait of the ravenous little monster and various stats.
MUNCHLAX: the Big Eater Pokémon. It gobbles up its own body weight in food each day, and it swallows its food without almost any chewing.a tinny voice recited."Beelzebub would enjoy this one." she remarked.

A blinking beacon of their current location appeared, making her brow furrow. New Bark Town...she'd never heard of it. And, from what she could tell, beyond this house, there did not seem to be much in it.
...though, if she followed the road West...

No to get the woman to do the same thing, so that he could get his trousers back once she'd gotten some of her own. "City should have more information."
no subject
"Mm."
With that, she drifted straight past him, seeming intent on heading off by herself.

For all that she was determined, he was tall and managed to fall in line with her stride without losing his gangly, lazy looking appearance.

"You're likely to get there faster on your own." she offered. Read: "Shoo, fly." in her own passively-polite language.

She should have known when accepting a favor from a human (was he human...?) that it would not come without strings attached. And, at this moment, it was not in her best interests to be racking up debts in a world she'd only just arrived in.
She paused mid-step, unshouldering her backpack to the delight of the Munchlax who she then had to fight to rummage through the compartments.
"It would stand to reason that if you were provided a pair, then I would also have--"
Aha...! Her hands closed on a neatly-folded outfit, drawing it into the open. Folded up, it appeared to be a flannel shirt and slacks. Though, UNFOLDED, it was...
....
Her look lapsed to one of puzzled surprise as she boggled at the sheer size of the outfit they'd given her. Surely they hadn't expected her to wear it...the waistline was big enough to fit her and the sister of her choice into either pantleg...!

Her expression darkened as she replaced the enormous pants in her bag. Considering all that had happened recently, being laughed at was not something she had an especially-high tolerance for at the moment.
"If those are your conditions, then let's go." she said over the reaper's laughter, attempting to get the subject back on-track, her voice sternly-reasonable despite the fact her face burned.
