Summary: Ren wants to talk and see how a girl can eat 5-20 portions of food at once again. Ah, but then he hears things about the girl's life and they probably won't see each otheroften after this.
Rating: PG-13 at most, or whatever you'd rate possible swearing and Utau ♥ Ikuto things.

[It's as any other day in the world of Pokémon for Hoshina Utau. Training, training, training, switching out to other six Pokémon when the first six get too tired, more training.
Meeting Ren is a regular thing too, it happens a lot and she is certainly used to it by now. Aside from the part where the guy flirts with all women, that she refuses to get used to. But surely he knows her opinion on it by now. She could almost call him a friend here, but friends usually knew much more about each other and what is making friends when you want to push people away? No, he's definitely not a friend. Whatever he is, at least there's someone who for some weird reason wants to spend time with her.
Today is kind of different, because the girl is just trying to kill time before Ikuto might have time for her and the other guy wants to talk so, she might as well spend time with him while she's waiting for Ikuto to text, or call or whatever he'll do today. At least she wishes he'll contact, but knowing Ikuto...
She leads the idol guy into a buffet, takes her outerwear off and gets a huge amount of food before she sits down. What might be very abnormal here today is the fact that she places her pink gear onto the table instead of keeping it somewhere hidden. Yeah no, she probably hasn't done it before, because she didn't have any reason to do so. But now it's there as if it's supposed to be there and nowhere else. She's really not the type to change her habits easily, at least not without a very good reason.
Utau looks at her food first, then she looks at Ren. One question first, then she can eat while he speaks.]

There's a problem of how to start the talk though. It's not your every day thing Ren wants to talk about, after all. He's not even completely sure why he's telling Utau about it. Maybe... he just wants her to know if something goes wrong? She's become important to him during these six months, after all.

His words surprise her. So much that she's actually just staring at her half empty plate - yes she's fast at this thing called eating - in surprise and it takes a while to let it sink in.

Of course it would seem like it was more than friendship. Anything Ren did with other girls probably did. It's just how he was, really. Though he'd most likely change if he'd find someone to be with for good.
Which he admittedly had though of for quite some time. The person he was with right now... she was cold. She didn't seem to warm up to him at all. Still something about her made him keep going.
He had never really told her anything about his feelings because of how much Utau hated his flirting side. Really, it had been better to keep a distance and not try to approach her in a romantic way. Their situation was dangerous and you never knew what could happen next. It was better to wait for a calmer time - if that ever came.
If only he could have told that to his feelings. Especially after hearing Utau actually sing it had been impossible to listen to sense. Right now his thoughts went back to the song and the feelings he had felt as he had listened to her... and the way she was acting right now. As if there was something in her life that had changed her. Something, or perhaps someone, who wasn't Ren, which hurt, he admitted.
Ren watched as Utau returned with a plate full of food, thinking of what to say next. Something about what the girl had said before? Something about the plan? Something entirely else...?
He didn't know. It was rare for him to not know what to say.
He really was hopeless. Hopelessly falling for her.]

Well, knowing how logic doesn't even exist in this place [really - logic, what logic?] I don't think they let anyone, who asks for it, go without some kind of consequences.
Jail? Maybe not. Doesn't sound like the worst possible thing to do either, so others [and that's other Rockets] might not overreact... [Maybe. Utau doesn't exactly know them. Personally she'd run away just in case if she removed it from her Luxray.]

He hated being right about something. Almost more than he hated being rejected. This wasn't the first time he had met a girl he liked more than anyone else only to notice that it wasn't possible to be with her.
There wasn't much change on the outside. His small smile was still there, even if there were traces of sadness in his eyes. He pushed the emotions aside with a small laugh.]
I should have read the signs. The air around you... it has changed a little. [He shook his head.] I should have guessed it was because of something like that. I'm happy for you, though.
[He offered a genuine smile. He really was. She could be with the one she loved. Even if it wasn't Ren, it was good to know she was happy. That was what mattered.
Ren took his wallet from his pocket and left an amount of pokemoney on the table. His share of the food money - maybe even more, he wasn't sure. Frankly, he didn't even care right now. Instead he got up and walked a few steps.]
Keep the change, if there's any and I'll see you around, sometime. [Then he stopped and looked behind his shoulder with the saddest smile on his face.]
Just so you know: the minute I fall in love seriously I forget all the other girls.
[With that he started walking away. He needed to get away from the place before he'd show emotions he'd later regret. This wasn't a place for him to show them, even if she was a girl he wanted to show them.
But he couldn't. Not anymore.]
